[Resolved]  Broadband — Airtel Broadband service is worst in Coimbatore

Address:Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Dear Sir,

I got airtel broadband connection in the month of Feb 2011. For the first 2 months things went fine with 1 complaint per month on the connectivity. In the month of April I had faced frequent problems on connectivity. The technician requested not to call to the customer care always. He asked me to inform him for any problem and he will fix it. For twice I did the same. I was fed up with the problems and frequency of occurrence and decided to call customer care. When I informed customer care about the frequency of connectivity problems, they asked me to give the previous complaint request number which I don’t have as the previous problems were fixed by their technician without customer care interaction. But after informing to the customer care they raised a ticked and one of the technicians called up me and said it’s fixed, when I went home and checked the problem holds in same state. Again customer care, technician… for 4 times… and decided to disconnect the connection. Form 2nd week of May the connection is completely dead and after all tries for resolving, the connection holds in the same state. I had given a request for disconnection on June 11th over the phone. The response form customer care is “I have to give a written request for disconnection”. I did the same on June 15th. And after this I got number of pleasing calls over phone to hold back the connection. I received a message on 26th June stating that “your Airtel Broadband connection is reactivated as per the request made by you with our representative over phone” which I never did.
I got a bill on June 20th for the period of 12th may 2011 to 11th June 2011, during this period the connection is completely dead and Airtel is not able to recover the connection and still they sent me the bill. In the month of July I went to the Airtel customer care office near Lakshmi mills Coimbatore, I explained them the entire story and given a written request to generate the bill for the used period and give a final settlement in detail and amount to pay for closing the connection. To check the progress I went 3 continues Saturdays and all the time the manager is not available. One Saturday I waited for 2 hours to meet the manager, he didn’t turn up.

On July 20th also I received one more bill for the period of 12th June 2011 to 11th July 2011(were I requested to disconnect the connection on June 15th). The bonus point is at least one call daily I got about the bill payment and revoking the connection. Until today 9th Nov 2011 I didn’t get a final settlement letter or final amount to pay. But in between I got 3 calls stating that “it’s a lawyer office, called to inform that Airtel is going to take legal action for the unpaid due bills”.

This is how Airtel service works in Coimbatore.
1. They are not interested in solving problems
2. To give connection 1 or 2 days to disconnect 7 working days.
3. They won’t disconnect the service immediately.
4. Daily 2 to 3 call you will get for revoking the connection, over night you will get a message stating that you agreed for revoking.
5. You will get bills even though you had given the request for disconnection
6. You will never get the final settlement letter.
7. Managers will not be available to hear your problem
8. If your are disturbing them for final settlement they will use the final mantra “legal/ lawyer norice”
