[Resolved]  BSNL — EVDO broadband card

Dear sir

I really admire the progress and growth of india wish to have a part of it. Let me introduced me first I am a NRI who strongly believe in india and indian came in ireland and settled here from last 3 years working at good position as research scientist in national research lab in ireland.

my last visit in india was march this year when I was looking to use internet in india so BSNL was my first choice and I took VSNL datacard EVDO from Morena (MP) exchange through BSNL franchise and it was ok however the connectivity is not good but speed is ok so I was happy that in india there is mobile internet service are avalible. we close the connection at the time of my leaving and Exchange guy told us you can start any time whenever you need. I was happy that I countributed BSNL like company for its ok service (Not good i can say!!!)

Then in my next visit when i planned to come india in August this year how the things changed and suddenly all the progress blown in air and everything it seems that it happens only in india and I feel very sad about coming back. when I reached india in august I thought it would be ok and I will start My EVDO card and use it for my work here in my home town in morena (MP) and after reaching there I found that there is no signal for my EVDO card in my area which is in main city centre (Near railway station) and I could not used internet there. I thought let me asked to exchanged guy about what the things went wrong for them and why it is not working here. I went to Exchange of Morena and talked to several person about the problem and complaint for the problem which I faced. they told our tower is not working in that area and only few meters range around the exchange (which is out side of the city) the card can work and rest other area is depend on other tower so we are unable to correct it. I told tell me the time when it will be OK. then they reply me you know its government work its take time I told tell approximately time when it will be Ok then then again and again told forgot about the tower or even we dont have any plan right now so forgot. I asked should I buy a house near to your tower so atleast I can use internet. they ashamed me and it was the first time of my life when I was really shocked by the behavior of the employee and how the peoples take the things for granted. they think its government job so who care about service and customer. just come in office at their wishes and go to home this simple ideology I found in the employee there.

I can give you some example about BSNL how they treat the customers-
Initially you know when peoples were crazy about BSNL prepaid mobile SIM because they think it has good connectivity at that time mostly all the exchange told the customer we are short in SIM so we can not give you so wait and waiting were quite long almost 2-3 years. most of the interested guys selected other plans like Reliance, Smart, Airtel others etc. but Exchange never care for it. when all the rush finished in 2008-09 now they have large number of SIMs for people now you tell me who will change his own number which already distributed. you just let me know BSNL only order 400-500 SIM to each exchange and once it was distributed nobody could be able to get SIM

Similar things was happened to EVDO card, although its a good device and i experience with ok speed. When people are looking for internet at reasonable price at this time exchange guy or employees of BSNL are not able to provide service to the main area like in my care (Morena exchange) or they are in short of EVDO card (Many places...no body can wait so long after all he is paying money so why he will wait).

I feel the reasons behind it and they are...

1. Either private company paid the hugh money to exchange superior authority not to release SIM or EVDO or other good services or create disturbances in these services so that people can distract from those service and come to them.
2. Even employee dont care about their employment because they think its government duty to give salary whether they work or not it doesn't matter.
3. Customer care of BSNL you know how they care about the customer just try ...it

Please look into the matter for the respect of great INDIA. My wife is still in india and hoping for any miracles happened in BSNL and things goes not in progress but at least as past as it is...
