GRPS PROBLEM ( SUBSCRIBE TO PACKET DATA FIRST )
M sukhbir from jalandhar (punjab), and m using nokia 3110c for the use of gprs ,but from some days m unable to use gprs on my phone, an error showing on my phone is "subscribe to packet data first"m change my internet settings but nothing is working, and one other thing is that when m using my default browser then no problem in internet but when m using other kind of browser like opera mini or any application with internet then this problem occurs,kindly do something and resolve this issue.please help me.......sukhbir 9464281391

PROBLEM SOLVED!! (Nokia 6300) for BSNL 3G, GPRS card "Subscribe to Packet data first" error..., ,
Now u can use Opera Mini, Yahoo Go, WidSets etc., hassle-free..
1) First subscribe to bsnlnet, bsnlmms, bsnlstream, bsnllive By sendin sms of ur phone model to<58355>{4 South Zone BSNL}, then save all the received settings...
2) Now Go to Settings-->Configuration & set the "Default config. sett. To bsnlnet" "Personal config. sett. To My access point(in tat Accnt name >'My access point', Access point settings>Data bearer>Packet data, Bearer settings>Packet data acc.pt.>bsnlnet; Netwrk type>IPv6; Authentictn type>Normal)...Finally.., "Preferred access pt. To My access point"...Now 'select' Activ. def. in all apps. In the Configuration settings...]]]]]] PART 1 settings Over...
IMP STEP 3) Now Go to Settings--->Connectivity--->Packet data--->Packet data conn.>When needed; Packet data settings>Edit active access pt.>Alias for access point-->bsnlnet;Packet data acc. pt.-->bsnlnet...Finally come 'back' in Active access point--->'activate' bsnlnet(instead of Access point1, 2, 3..etc)...OVER..Now ur "Opera Mini" is a ready quick browser...

I agree GPRS Problem
But the setting posted by sentil .. It works for me...
How to avoid "sbscribe to packet data service" error for Yahoo Go, Opera Mini, Google Maps & MG maps in NOKIA 3110c with BSNL GPRS( Although I am using all these applications on Nokia 3110 I am sure the settings will work for all GPRS enabled nokia models on BSNL)
Make sure
1. U have subscribed for GPRS service & it is active.
2. U r able to browse internet with Nokia's in built browser.
3. U have downloaded any or all of the applications & installed them on ur mobile.
Making New Access Point.
Go to Menu ---> Settings ----> Configuration ----> Personal Configuration & Select
With Option key select Add New ( If u don’t have any of previousely created access points u will be prompted to use central select key)
Select option Access Point & enter following settings
Account name java
Select sub option Access Point Settings & enter / select following settings
Data bearer Packet Data
Select sub sub option Bearer Settings & enter / select following settings
Packet Data Access Point gprssouth.cellone.in ( put gprswest/gprseast/gprsnorth in lieu of gprssouth as per the BSNL area u r in)
Network Type IPv4
Authentication type Normal
User Name ppp
Password ppp123
Using back key come to personal Accounts level
U will see a new Access Point Named java
With option key & select ACTIVATE
Now U will be able to use all the above applications java Access Point

U ALL HAVE ANS FOR THIS... I had the same prblm... I ve downloaded not only pc suite, but also NOKIA CABLE DRIVER then t works... When it showed connecting...& SUBSCRIBE TO PACKET DATA FIRST ... then repeatedly more than 20 times i pressed... aftr i realised dat SHOUD CLICK SETTINGS MENU in ONE TOUCH ACCESS box (spanner icon) THEN U SHOULD SELECT THE MODEM & THE CORRECT NETWORK OF URS(eg:airtel india) Then it definitely works...

HI sir, i have the same problem, i cannot access to the internet using opra mini software from my nokia 6300, when i try to use it it tell me subscrib to packet data first... there is a way to subscribe my nokia 6300 let me know, thanks

my name is Arun i am from kerala. I am using nokia 6300 1 week back i am able to access internet with opera mini and all other application which is using net in my mobile. 4 day back i restored my mobile to factory setting, after that i am not able to access net through the opera mini and other application. BSNL had sent me their setting after applying this also i am not able to browse the net. but my default built in browser i am able to browse the net. but what ever application which is using internet is not working, while i try with opera bowser it is saying "service not supported.". i have entered the manual setting after googling, then also this is not working. can u pls sent me the manual setting configuration for Nokia 6300. in each site this setting is different. if i get he exact setting for Nokia 6300 for kerala it will be helpful for configuring the GPRS.

hi friends
i am parth from guujarat no 9426464900. I have tried all above settings for my
NOKIA 6233. I am able to surf via mobile's default browser. But from Operamini i am having the same "Subscribe to packet data first" error. I have done everything written here but still not working. It was working previously. dont know how it stopped? bz i knew all this "Access Point Setting" stuff. Kindly help if your 6233 works for opera.
