[Resolved]  Calcutta Telephones — Telephone "dead", docket no:"alive"

I have booked a complain on 20.09.08 with Calcutta Telephones as my landline went "dead" from the same date. No repairing has been done till now though I have met a senior official Mr.P.K.Upadhya on 03.10.08 as suggested by Computerised Customer Cell, Behala Division. He assured me that the repairing w'd be done in the very next day but nothing has been done & my telephone is still "dead" & the complain (docket no:H981) is still "alive".

Sub:Extremely noisy telephone!

I'm in a bizarre plight! My telephone has now become extremely noisy.It's so much so that I can't hear any thing from the other end.To get rid of the predicament I try to have my complaint booked by automatic booking system.Whenever I try to lodge my complaint I'm greeted with the recorded voice that my complaint stands already booked and work is in progress .Please tell me what I should do to have my faulty telephone corrected under the present circumstances.

My telephone No.[protected] is totally dead since 16.07.2012 and when i am try to docket through 198 or 1500, always reply, complaint already booked for this Tel.No. and work in process. But no action has been taken by them. My telephone is dead till now.

It is also not understood that since payment of last Bill on 29/05/2012 (Bill No. & date[protected]/05/2012. May I know the reason of issuing no bill and delay in removing the fault in the line at the earliest.

My above telephone is out of order for last 6 months. I have complained several times to your local telephone exchange, seal Lane, Kolkata. But no results have come. But the billing authority regularly used to send bills without giving me talking facility which is unjustified.They should consider in this respect.
However, I have made payment on 24th December, 2012 all your dues till date. This is my request to you that the paid amount made by me in this regard should be credited in my account which would be adjusted with my future bills.
Again I have lodged a complain on 25th December, 2012 whose docket No is [protected].

Hello is there any one from BSNL, Calcutta telephones listening! Once monopolistic telecoms giant has been turned to would be dwarf, because of its corrupt, scrounging and unwilling employees. Millions of their generations old customers deserted them and they thank their luck that they took right decision in right time. Ill lucks with them those who either due to lack of time or still with false trust with anything that bears smell of government.
I am one who still has a land line[protected] with broadband connection. Months ago when they broke down, I lodged a complaint and got docket number. But surprisingly that was last ! There after number of times my telephone went out of order or so the broadband connection; but I could not lodge fresh complaint as the old docket is not cleared yet! Speaking to any of their employee is as tough as climbing mount Everest; however I did so once or twice but in vain.

Now again the telephone and BB is giving trouble and I could not lodge complain with 1500 as its ever lodged (!); will someone do something?

Calcutta Telephones — issue of Duplicate Bill for 01/12/2012 to 31/12/2012

I am not getting the telephone bills in time and the bill for month of December'12 yet to received. Please, send me the Duplicate Bill for the telephone no.[protected] for the Bill Date: 07/01/2013 and Due Date for Payment was 28/01/2013.

Accordingly I made a complain through automatic fault booking bearing complain no [protected] dtd 6/4/13.I also reminded several times but regret to inform that every time I was informed same reply of "job under progress".
If it not possible to rectify, kindly let me know the procedure of surrendering the same telephone.

The telephone is out of order for last about one month resulting in a lot of inconvenience for us. This is inspite of constant follow-ups and visits to the exchange.

Dear Sir/s,
We have BB Connection in ULD combo Plan @ 900/- appx. Our telephone was out of order and we launched a complaint against Land Line number. Techinicians from Panihati Telephone Exchange visited our house and it was informed that the exchange is not providing wires which were to be replaced and for that reason the BB connection could not be fixed at the 2nd floor of our house instead the receiver was fixed replacing the modem. Now, the telephone company is too poor to supply wires and we are paying bills without getting service for the last few months. But I have not seen any telephone office employee getting unpaid due to poverty of the department while they always have a readymade alibi fir not providing proper services like BB connectivity, speed etc. On enquiry I have found several other such cases in our area, and have seen joint - wires / uncovered joints here and there in the streets of our locality. It is a matter of shame to us to have such an unworthy, inefficient public department running at such high cost in the present market scenario.
