I don't know if this is a perennial issue with BSNL. I have the same problem.

I have surrender my landline 25466603 on 13.08.2009 and till date BSNL has not collected the handset and returned my money.

Seems BSNL wants to grow with our money by sitting back on it.

I have closed my telephone connection {phone no[protected]} and broadband on 02/05/2014 by receipt no-16173, at Alipore office and deposited the telephone reciever alongwith all the accessories, modem and all the fittings, vide w/o no [protected] Dt.03.05.14. at Behala telephone exchange on 15/05/14 .There is no outstanding dues of me, till a telephone bill has send to me vide telephone billno[protected], dt 09/06/14of Rs. 1200/ for Accessory not returned, total bill1984/,
Please do the needfull for rectifying this and oblige.

Telephone Number [protected]. I have been trying to surrender this telephone but it is turning out to be a harrowing experience .
Firstly, on visiting the exchange from where I obtained the telephone namely, Metropolitan Exchange Kolkata 700105 I was redirected to Taheer Mansion in Bentinck Street.
On visiting Taheer Mansion I was further directed to Hare Street Dalhousie.
Hare Street on checking their so called system have now directed me to Salt Lake but they cannot say where.
Needless to say, more that 2 days have gone to arrive at this juncture not to mention the amount of time spent in both offices trying to get information.

I want to surrender / disconnect my broadband Service[protected] as even after complaints fault was not rectified since 21st may 2020 . further would request you to arrange for refund for the period line was not working
