[Resolved] Centurion Bank of Punjab and HDFC Bank Bank — Allocation of shares upon Merger | |
I am having a demat account with ICICI bank in the names of (1) myself - Deepti Deveshkumar Jinwala and (2) my husband - Deveshkumar Chhabildas Jinwala; in which I was holding 250 shares of Centurion Bank of Punjab in "freeze" form. Upon merger of the Centurion Bank of Punjab with the HDFC bank, I should have been allocated 8 shares of HDFC bank (should have been credited in my demat account with ICICI bank). However, to my utter disappointment I realize the same has not yet been credited. Upon contacting the ICICIbank demat section, I have been informed that they are helpless in the matter as the Centurion Bank of Punjab has merged with HDFC bank and it is their (the latter both) responsibility to credit the shares and not that of ICICI bank's. Please let me know what should I do further in the matter and/or help me get the shares credited in may account.
