[Resolved]  Citibank Credit Card — Harassment for Credit Card Dues (NOT OVERDUES)

I hold a Citi Bank Platinum Credit Card ([protected]) for past two years. The credit card limit is 65,000 which has been reduced from 125,000 for reasons best known to the bank. I usually make the payment through Skypak Drop Box.. On few of the occasions the payment was made 10-12 days after due-date, although i have never ever defaulted on the payment.

Of late, i have been literally harassed through early morning reminder calls, rather MISSED CALLS. I receive a call from Citi Bank Collection Dept anywhere between 7.30am to 8.00am everyday. This usually starts 10 days prior to due-date and continues till the due-date... I also receive this irritating reminder call (MISSED CALL) on SUNDAY's, that too at 7.45am sharp. I find this ridiculous and disturbing. Though i agree that there may have been few delays (never past 30 days from due-date), this method of EARLY MORNING REMINDER CALL is not a fair practice being adopted by the bank.

I have no issues whatsoever if i receive reminder calls on working days and during working hours. But what practice you have adopted is not as per the guidelines issue by Reserve Bank of India (Fair Practice Debt Collection - Circular circular DBOD. Leg. No. BC. 104 /09.07.007 / 2002–03). Calling a customer at 7.45am on Sundays, that too before payment due-date is completely uncalled for.
