[Resolved]  CMDA — Illegal construction of semi permanent t roof and toilet

In our building, our residents Flat no 7 and 8 on the top floor constructed semi-permanent roof and toilet, which is not in the original approved plan by CMDA. This space was originally show as open space for those flats and the water lines from the roof tank was running through that open space along their walls. They are the owners of two bed room flats on the top floor and by making this semi permanent extension on the open space they were able to make one additional room and toilet. By doing this the water lines coming from the roof overhead tank to our floors(ground and first floors) is covered with their construction. Recently, I tried to trace the water line for the excessive seepage from our roof in the ground floor, but the illegal construction by these flat owners prevented us from accessing the lines. Thus they deny the people in ground and first floor an access to repair those lines in case of any leakage. Also this is an violation from the original approved plan. Further the rain harvest lines originally laid is from this open portion got covered and chemicals used for clean the floor can now drained in to rain harvesting lines from this extension. As I am not an authority to access the violation and illegal construction, we need CMDA authorities to visit our building, if there is violation and unapproved extension without an agreement from other owners, CMDA authorities should issue immediate demolition notice and restore the building to its original shape and provide access to other residents to the water and drain vent line going through that open space.
