sir,
i bought a 500 ml thumbs up coldrink from a retailer named HAVMORE CONFECTIONERS, jawahar nagar, kota.the reailer provide me an expired coldrink.we complained against the same, but the retailer refused to replace.his behavior wasn't customer friendly.
so we lodge a comlaint regarding above to you.
i hope you will provide some solution against it.

Cold Drinks — extra charges on cold drink bottles

Dear sir,
I stay in Lokmanya Nagar, Thane (W), Maharashtra. Mojarity of the shop keepers in this vicinity charge extra money on cold drinks by Rs, 1or 2, saying that this charges are for cooling the drink. And also get angry on customers if they argue with them.
so i kindly request you to please look over it and fine them so that they never repeat this mistakes

This is such an undisciplined act from resellers. Must be protested. Actually, there is the number on which one can lodge a complaint against it. Hope that must be working.

Extra Charge for Cold Drink by Retail Shop

I am staying in bhagalpur bihar From my childhood, I have observe that for Cold Drink, All Retail Shop charge Re 1 or Rs 2 extra of MRP value.
My concern is, whether Retail Shops can charge more then MRP price.
Retail Shop not ready to give bill for the same.
Kindly guide us & help us to STOP this.

shop — force from political power

sir i am sending this complain for the 5th time. as i have mension befor my place is in the jalila madine in prabudth nagar i had got the permission in 2004, but none of the offical told us. now when i remove my paper for there i came to know that i have go the permission in 2004. so i have build my shop there. with the help of [protected]@baba.he is a soical worker. but the local political people are therething me to leave that place. and have given me life thereth. so plz sir i request you to help me.

I bought a 200ml bottle of Thumps up from M/S Vaibhav Sweets at Deepbungalow chowk, Shivajinagar Pune. But he charged me Rs 9/- for bottle while MRP printed on the bottle is Rs 8/-. & he is telling that the 1 Re for cooling of the bottle,

please why we pay above MRP that is Rs 8/-

Mumbai: How many times have you shelled out more than the MRP on a bottle of soft drink or milk as “cooling’’ charges? Well, if the answer is several times, you can take a cue from residents of Mumbai and Thane, who have lodged a complaint with the state legal metrology department (LMD) against shopkeepers who take consumers for a ride.
Going by the data compiled by the LMD, between April 2009 and March 2010, 53 cases were slapped on shopkeepers, who were found charging more than the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) on soft drink bottles. The department has also booked another 96 of them for “fleecing’’ people buying milk bottles and cartons.
The accused shopkeepers were found violating the Standards of Weights and Measures Rules, 1987. Under the rules, it is an offence to sell a packaged commodity at a rate higher than its MRP and removing any such information or label from the packet. However, the rule does not apply to packaged products sold at restaurants, where the product is served and hence attracts, service charges.
Ankush Dhanvijay, controller of LMD, says, “Many shopkeepers ask consumers to pay extra on cold drink bottles as cooling charges. But it is an offence to sell a packaged commodity, including cold drinks and milk bottles, at a price higher than their MRPs. As many people are not aware of the rules, the shopkeepers exploit them.’’

shop — about cold drinks

In my village there are two shopkeeper who are taking RS. 2/- more on MRP on each cooled colddrinks like ThumsUp, CocaCola, Pepsi, etc....

When I ask them that "Why you are taking RS. 2 more while MRP is given on bottle neck..?"
they replied me like this...
"If you wants cooled colddrinks then you have to pay RS 2/- on MRP, or you can buy other colddrinks which are not cooled...?"

what a funny answer...!!!

Cold Drinks — Extra Charges Charged on Cold Drinks by Retailers

Hi,

This is to make awarness about the extra money charged on all cold drinks at the Retail shop.

Is this right to pay more than the MRP are retailers not getting their share that the take it from the customers.

I have the same problem in Dhoraji, rajkot(gujarat). Here 3 to 5 rupees extra charges taken by retail shops in whole town.
