I have a compaq presario v2000.
I re-installed windows home edition on my laptop because mine was not a genuine copy!. but i dont have any sound ive tried your site and others to download the sound driver but none work!.

sound drivers are not compatible with window xp in the latest compaq laptops you have to install windows vista then problem will solve

I am having a laptop with windows xp installed as operating system it was working properly but suddenly some problem occured in sound and it has now disorted while performing any task.I tried to uninstall the driver but unable to do please help me to find the realtec845 driver and how to uninstall and reinstall the driver.

This is similar to my problem, only that my wireless is also not working.
