Dear sir/Madam,

Re: Unnecessary harassment even after settlement of account and extortion attempt by SBI

I was a credit card holder of SBI credit card with account no. 000 [protected]. There was payment demand from SBI during regular use of card for late payment even though the payment was dropped before due date. This demand arose because of the inefficiency and callous attitude of SBI Cards.

After a number of calls to the customer care the issue was not resolved and I received a letter from you dated 23/06/2006 (copy enclosed) giving a one-time settlement offer which stipulated that I would need to pay Rs. 1000/- (rupees one thousand only) in the month of June’ 06 and the issue would be closed. The tracer number of the same is ‘delhi[protected]’. I agreed to this payment even though this demand was not justified as I had not defaulted on any payment. I did this to escape harassment I was being put through. I made the payment in cash to your representative Mr. Jitendra vide your receipt number 5495770 (copy enclosed) dated 26/06/2006.

However I was shocked to receive letter sent by you dated 23/01/2007 (copy enclosed) saying that an amount was due from me and another final settlement offer of payment of Rs. 1343.695 to be made before 28th Feb 2007. This is shocking since I had already done the final settlement almost 6 months prior to that.

For the past three years myself and my family members are being harassed by goons hired by SBI cards who call up every day to my residence and use foul language with senior citizens at home when I am not around. They are also threatening me with dire consequences. It is appalling to find that such a reputed organisation like SBI is resorting to actions akin to street thugs and scoundrels to take up a matter that is of SBI’s own making. None of the callers are willing to give their true identities or addresses so that we can follow up and get this rectified. My entire family and myself are being put to unnecessary mental agony and torture at your hand for no fault of ours. We have given all necessary details to your callers umpteen number of times and pleaded and requested them not to disturb us, but to no avail. This attempt of extortion of money needs to stop.

Kindly acknowledge this letter and instruct your concerned officers to stop harassing myself and my family. Please ensure that necessary action is taken within 7 days of receipt of this letter.

Before six month we asked for settelment of our account & we told them to cancelled our card, after that from your side you people agreed to do settelment after paying 7500/- and we paid that amount through PDC cheques we paid that amount & we received the callection deposit slip from ur collection executives name MR.Mahendra DT: 10/07/07 slip No is : 25576 to 25583 we ask also that we need not do any payment after this settlement ? that u people said Yes after Feb 08 u again started the same phones and statment sending through courier with overdue amount now we r very much fed up of this type of hurresment yesterday 19/11/08 ur executive came at home and ask for again settlement payment of Rs.10, 000/-
U all people r chetter, u know only how to hurres people who paid amount regularly and who ready to pay due amounts now we r taking serious action against this we r going to make police complent but before that we just wants to inform you that dont hurres people like this after paying also we get this type of service PLEASE MAKE NOTE DONT SEND ANY BODY AT HOME AFTER THIS WE R NOT GOING TO PAY U ANY AMOUNT AND STILL I[censored] CALL US OR SEND ANY EXECUTIVE AT HOME we will submit this in consumer court :-

SBI Credit Card — Un-necessary fine applied on card payment.

Dear Sir,

In month of May (09 May) I had used SBI credit card for one transaction of 21987 Rs. at MODI Resort Karjat, Maharastra, for the same I had made a payment of 22338 Rs. (ICICI bank cheque no. 162076) including late fees of 350 Rs. on 10 th june (Within the 50 days of limit). But from next billing statement onwards I am receiving statement of additional fine and interest amount. This amount now reached to 2361 Rs. I have already stopped using this credit card. Still I am receiving monthly statements for the same.

So, requesting you to pl. resolve the issue.
