[Resolved]  Croma Extended Warranty Service — no service

it's just a money making racquet...we trust the TATA name and fall for it but it's been very disappointing. After a refrigertaor problem i am still waiting for a service after 17 days and not one call back from them leave alone a service visit!

I regret putting i that extra money to buy this warranty. Sheer waste.

In my opinion dealing with a so called reputed company like tata aig is the most harassing episode any customer can be put through.
They need to be given an award for the worst customer care.
Its been over an year.Tata has a most unproffesional team of people who can't take prompt decissons to tackle any problem.They are just full of talk & no action which is actually required to resolve a customer's problem to a full & final.
The company should'nt be spared even if it means taking legal action so that they stop inconveniencing their customers & learn some professionalism.
This isn't the first time.
I've earlier had a problem with my scorpio warranty & was compelled to change over to another insurance company, now its my 3 split air conditioners which fall under tata extended warranty bought from chroma juhu.i'am suffering bad service right from the beginning.They ideally need to replace the defective acs but are conveniently just consoling me by sending some inapt technician & we are still in that loop.TATA needs to take some drastic measures to improve their ways or else they should get out of business & stop cheating customers.

I have a kent water purifier under croma extended warranty.Now it is not working properly and having defect, for which I lodged a complaint at croma extended warranty customer care at [protected], around more than 1.5 months, till now my complaint is not rectified. I have to call the customer care almost daily. Daily they people give assurance that today it will be done, but of no use. 1.5 months have passed, irritating/harassing me.
At customer care, representatives donot allow to talk to their senior persons. Aftr 1.5 months they advised me to talk to seniors persons.I have talked to the senior person Mr. mahesh at [protected], Mr. Pandey at [protected] several times, but of no use. They people even donot bother to have call back. every time I had to call them I haven’t seen such height of negligence of service, harrassing the common man even in warranty period.I would not recommend anyone to have CROMA EXTENDED WARRANTY . They people are just making money and making fool o[censored]s.

I totally agree with the above.I have also complained about the breakdown of my Samsung Microwave to the croma Extended warranty section and till date I have not received any response. The helpline people always say that the technician will drop by the same day but they are yet to turn up. It is really sad to see a reputed name like Tata harassing their customers like this.I would advice all customers not to fall prey to this bogus extended warranty scheme.

I had purchased extended warranty for my laptop at the time of initial purchase. After tow and half years when the laptop started giving me trouble I thought of availing the extended warranty scheme and contacted their helpline. i was asked to take the laptop to their vendor/agent M/s Neoteric Informatiques, Nehru Place Delhi. During servicing of my laptop, the vendor/agent not only nicked my original 02 RAMs but had damaged one of the two RAM Locks. In the serviceable slot, the agent/vendor had inserted another 2GB RAM of inferior quality. My complaints to both Croma (infiniti Retail) and M/s Neoteric Informatiques, Mumabi, has not so far yielded any reply despite having sent them e mails and letters by post.

I have very bad experience on Croma extended warranty. I have registered my complaint on 20 days back for LCD TV and there is no positive response from Croma even after many follow ups.

Simply “DO NOT GO FOR CROMA EXETNDED WARRNATY” they are simply making money from customers

I totally agree with the above grieved customers, as I had also taken an extended warranty on a Hitachi air-conditioner. The complaint was lodged on 1st of June 2012. An incompetent team of technicians was sent, who could not rectify the problem. I have been continuously making reminder calls, but to no avail. We followed the TATA name, little knowing that it is a money making scheme. Their working pattern is not befitting a company like TATA. It is damaging to the company.

i completely agree... i have logged a complaint for my croma window 1.5 ton AC on 24 June, 27 June, 27 June, 25 July, 5 August and 14 August... and every time i get a assurance that some one will call and visit. but till date no one bother to call back... and bother to visit. totally careless approach.. extended warranty people will say call customer care and customer care will say call extended warranty number... they will play ping pong... but no one will revert.

Spoiling companies image...

Same feelings here..I have given a complaint for my microwave and till now it is not serviced even after 4 weeks.Croma extended warranty call centre people will never give any senior or escalation details to us.If any one knows any email id of them, please share .

I totally agree with you guys, as I had also taken an extended warranty on a LG LCD purchased on Oct'2010 for 2 years. When called to register the complaint CALL CENTRE could not able to trace my details only, so they made me to visit the OUTLET four times followed by regourous mail exchange on mulund-malldhamaal.[protected]@cromaretail.com; [protected]@tata-aig.com; [protected]@cromaretail.com. All the follow ups are looking to get drained down even after continuously follow up on mail & visit to outlet, since they could not find the details in there system only as the person who has sold the warranty has not updated the entry in the system, and now I have to suffer from pillar to post for their mistake. Our family emphasised on Tata Name but knowingly or unknowingly we got cheated with sugar quoted words. They are working towards damaging their own brand image which will ruin all the efforts guys have made to built over the period of time.
I also faced similiar issue from Chroma. I made a complaint 20 days back(complaint no 71680) but issue still remains same even after making multiple calls to customer care and Bangalore office.
The one star given is just for the product, because that's good.
The customer service is very bad.No one knows what their job is.Every call center guy keeps tossing customer from one number to another.No one knows what to do.No one bothers to take notice of the complaints.After 15 DAYS, customer himself has to keep calling and then someone wakes up and try to find for the complaint status.After that keeps call on hold for AT LEAST 30 mins.And then never expect a positive reply.It is said that then within next 48 hrs may be a technician would come for a visit.But unfortunately it does not happen.Then again you have to keep calling.Call center people just have one line to say:"Sir/Mam please call on this desk number..we are not responsible for extended warranty".
Then a guy visits, checks the complaint.And returns with the promise that he would come with the spare part that is to be changed and disappears.Then no body shows up for many days.THE SAME CYCLE OF CALLING continues and no one in the call center is ready to talk.They are so rude that if you tell them that service is troubling me..they disconnect your call.They cannot take it..!!!

AND THE RESULT OF WHOLE OF THIS IS STILL :ISSUE NOT SOLVED.

IF CUSTOMER SERVICE PROVIDERS ARE NOT CAPABLE...WHY ARE HELPLINES???
DON'T PROMISE THE SERVICES AND EXTENDED WARRANTIES IF YOU CAN'T PROVIDE.

WORST CUSTOMER CARE EXPERIENCE: PUNE OFFICE...

I bought a Kent water purifier from Croma on Aug 2011 and bought extended warranty along with it. Things were fine until last 4 months when the product was working fine, but since the time I have been facing some technical issues with the purifier, Croma repair team is totally clueless about next steps. The purifier has broken down twice in last 4 months and Croma repair team is not able to fix it. Latest complaint is 20 days old, no one from Croma has called me even once to check about the status of the product. I've to chase them personally in order to remind about the issue and they ask me to call their repair vendor.. Repair vendor (JEEVES Electronics) is very rude to talk with, doesn't make any commitment about ETA or follow-up visit at all. Croma customer care people are shy of calling repair team themselves.

My issues are:
1. Why should a white good remain broken down for 20 days, despite raising the complaint on day 1?
2. Does Croma not have any internal mechanism of escalating the outstanding issues on their side? It seems they are too dependent on the vendor to resolve the issue and don't have any control on the vendor
3. When the complaint is 20 days outstanding, why no one from Croma makes a follow-up call to give assurance and set expected ETA
4. When I call the Croma customer care team, why they ask me to follow-up with the vendor rather then talking to their vendor themselves
5. Croma should train their vendors some courtesy of dealing with customers

These basics tenets of customer relationship maintenance, Croma (TATAs) shouldn't have got it wrong

Its a big mistake to purchase the extended warranty. Pathetic service and you will end up loosing hundreds on phone bill.

did you any body approach legally and fill case against this cheat? I am facing same worst customer service issue for extended warranty for my Sony TV
I had purchase the TV, TATA sky & refrigerator on 7th February 2012
with extended warranty period. Initially Croma didn't provide me the proper
invoice and after several follow up they provide the invoice on 13th
February 2012 for refrigerator & TV. Further to that I did not received the
delivery in time.
On 17th May 2013 required to change the TATA sky set box because of
failures / problem.
In February 2014 I lodged the complaint regarding refrigerator problem but till they did not turned up and they arrived they replaced the defective parts with duplicate parts and not the original.
When I brought the issue to customer then they threatening me not to write the mails
otherwise they will not provide the service during warranty period and also
used the abusive language. Further they told me that Croma personnel are not
responsible to provide service in warranty period. Please clear me who’s
responsibility is this because I paid extended warranty period charges to
croma. This was not told to me during the time of purchase. Today I am feeling
cheated and deceived.
They are offering me compensation amounting Rs. 200/- for negligence to provide
their service from February 2014 to till date
Croma is failure to provide timely & qualitative service to me & my family
therefore we suffer lot.
Ifthe customers are being treated like this then croma will lose their customer
as well as trust & reputation in the market.
Same issue here. I am waitiong for the service since last 8 days but no service has been done. They took out the original part from the Fridge and fixed duplicate part that failed in 2 days. After calling 20 times they are not doing the work. And the behaviour of the technician is very bad. its is better to get this repaired from any technician than going through all this frustration.
Its not yet done and I am still waiting!
I had registered complain for
water leakage at the center of bottom on 19th July 2014 by mail to Customer
care, online complaint on phone. Also on 19th July I had send the mail to Mr.
Ajit Joshi office regarding complaint and reminded to his secretary about the
complaint on 21st July 2014 to his secretary on phone


Still compliant has not resolved.
Therefore I had again all to Mr. Ajit Joshi Secretary on number 022 – 67613602.
She gives me Smita number 022 – 67613798 / [protected] for follow up. But I had
not received any response from these numbers.


Therefore I had again called to
Mr. Ajit Joshi secretary. When she asked to Smita about my complaint then she informed that complain was closed. Please
show me documentary event for the same. I am very shocking still I am
not getting any service how the complaint is closed.


On 24th July 2014 Samsung
technician had taken the photographs about leakage and he want to discusses his
office. Till date I am not getting any service from Croma.


Kindly replace the refrigerator with same specification or
higher specification along with 2years warranty period. Also pay me all
compensation for giving mental harassment and other charges like speed post
charges, food loss etc.

service provided by TATA CROMA for extended warranty product is so pathetic. I purchased 1.5 tone split A/C of CROMA brand from CROMA outlet itself. I have register a complain on 29th July four days back As its fan was not working, people working there are so Irresponsible nobody came to attend the complain even I didn't receive a call from them. One irritating customer care no. They have that is [protected].there is impossible to connect the call or nobody will pick the phone even after having a continues ringing for 45 minute. I can share my experience As i put up in Mayur Vihar phase-3 new Delhi . I was coming to saket I dialed the same above no. When I left my home for saket I kept the speakers of phone on as I was driving it was ringing continuously for 45 minute as it took me reach saket but unfortunately I couldn't connect.
Few month back i purchased the laptop from croma they explained me same thing about extended warranty and offered the same.
So my overall experience with service provided my croma to its customer is pathetic and irritating that in future I will think twice before purchasing anything from croma.
Why these people are charging extra money for extended warranty If they can't provide service for that.This is just making fool to customer, charging them and ultimately ignore the customer need.
Even they have given me the service request no. on 29th July i.e 137234.
They are Just misusing the such big name (TATA).
