[Resolved]  Croma Retail — Poor Customer Service

This is in response to the rather lousy service I have been facing over the past 2-3 days from the AC dept at the Croma Bandra branch. Infact last week itself i had purchased a Sony Home theatre from the same outlet. I had visited the store on Sunday and wished to go in for the Onida 1.5 ton split AC, the salesperson told me there would be a site inspection on Tues, yet till tday no ones bothered to come. Today Ive made almost 6 calls and the people keep saying 1/2 an hr, 1 hr.

Never purchase product from http://www.cromaretail.com.
I have purchased Kindle paperwhite cover (Rs: 2159/-) (Ref. No. 76654) 4days ago, and today I have contacted them to know the status. I surprised to know that, they dont have any record of my online purchase. And they asked me to wait for tomorrow to GET THE STATUS. Dont know when they deliver the product then.
I always preferred to "flipkart.com" for online shopping. But first time I tried to purchase some thing from www.cromaretail.com.

I had ordered a "HUL Puerit Water Purifier" on 16 July 2013, got delivery on 23 July 2013.

When I opened the package, I found the its carbon filter damaged, immediately I informed to croma customer suppot : [protected].
The customer support executive told me to send the snaps and complaint to "[protected]@cromaretail.com" & your product will be replaced.

I have send the mail on next date 24th July 2013, but didn't got any confirmation reply for next 3 days. Then I once again called to customer support executive & he said: "the request is under process, your product will be replaced soon".

Its almost 10 days but still I am waiting for a single reply from Croma Retail by Phone OR Email.

This is the worst service I have ever faced in online shopping.

Please if someone from cromaretail views this post, reply soon.

I have baught a TAB from Croma Store Mumbai-Airport Model No. CRXT1131 oe n 19.08.13, on the same day i found it was defective which your service centre confirmed at Indore. I am resident of Indore, MP. Your people claimed that if peice is defective it will be replaced. On reaching home, I found it defective. I went to service centre in Indore. ti

Now my problem is to replace defective TAB but you doesn't have any store at MP Indore, my request you to send correct TAB to my residence address to replace defective.

I have a similar pathetic experience with Croma.I had bought an LED TV from their CBD Belapur outlet a year back with extended warranty.After 1 yr it started giving a white band accroos the lower part.Its been one month since i logged a complaint. service request number
MUM280713FS00002.I call them up every week for the status to be assured a call back within 24 hrs which never materialises.The least they can give is the correct status or replacement or some truthfullness from their side.

I have the following complaint which is painstakingly lasting for 4 months now.

Summary:

I purchased an I-phone 5 (the second one in two months by the way) from your Chroma Belapur store on 09th June'2013 at 1900hrs. Invoice number SLF02A[protected].
On purchase of this phone, I was guaranteed by the cashier Sachin Gupta, & Amol (not sure of the name) Iphone salesman (Black T shirt), that if I buy this on full amount swipe on American Express credit card, there shall be a 10% cash back on the entire amount. Meaning: 10% of 45, 500.00 = 4550 after 45 days from the date of purchase. This was confirmed by both with the sales manager. Only on this assurance, I bought the I-Phone. The offer on American Express as per advertisement was on 6 months EMI. But, these two confirmed that on full amount swipe only the offer is valid (meaning I was not stupid to pay the entire amount, when EMI was there). Only based on this I swiped full, expecting cash back on the amex credit card within 45 days.

When I called up American Express, they stated that the offer was on EMI. This arrangement shall be dealt by Chroma.

One month later, when no cash back was received, I called the customer care and also gave the statement from Amex about the cash back. I was then contacted by Surrendar (Customer Service Desk - Belapur store). I told this guy, that if this does not work, please refund the entire amount and take back this phone.This person again confirmed that, I will receive the cash back within 45 days of the date of purchase. I visited the store the next day, I was again told the same with new information that, the offer of cash back on Amex swipe was extended till 13 June, 2013. 45 days should be counted from that day. Hence, the cash back shall be received on or before 28th July, 2013. This he stated, is after confirmation with the head cashier.

On 3rd August, 2013 disappointed of not receiving the cash back, I again visited the store. I narrated the events again to Jimit of the Belapur store. I also met Surrendar and asked what was the damn issue now. And why is it that I am harassed this way. Jimit comforted me and asked for the copy of the invoice. On the other hand, Surrendar arrogantly replied that forward your Amex statements from date of purchase to our head cashier proving no cash back is received. If this is correct, you need not visit the store anymore. Cash back shall be credited to your amex account. I emailed the credit card statements (trailing email) to Jimit and the Id given by Surrendar on 07 August'2013.

Today is 15th Of September, and I have received no cash back, no response, no courtesy email that this is still in progress.


I buy from Chroma, because of the service, quality and honesty. All electronics that I have, 40" Inch LED, Washing Machine, 2 Air conditioners, Water Purifier, Vacuum cleaner, Music system, even the bloody rice cooker is bought from Chroma. Maybe, it is this Belapur store or the people I contacted, are the worst Chroma has to offer.

I demand an explanation, apology and the cash back. Now, its not about the money anymore, its about dishonesty and fraud.
I have also registered a complain with the reference - 110/150913/Phones Mobile/979591.
Never Pruchase any product from Croma as they are selling repaired electronics as new piece.

I had bought Sony Ion LT28h from Croma Kandivali on 24th April, 2013 bearing Invoice No. F02A[protected].

From last 20 days I am facing problems during calls as my all caller are unable to listen my voice clearly & due to that I am forced to use Earphone for every single calls. The problem was brought under notice to Sony Service Centre – S G Infotech, Borivali on 3rd October, 2013 & after sitting for 3 hrs. it was told to me that it was mic problem but they cannot undertake the service as they have recd the same phone for service in the month of August, 2012. I had spoken to Mr. Sudhakar [Manager of S. G. Infotech] informed me that as service of same phone was undertaken earlier & your purchase bill date is not accepting in system better speak to Croma guys for servicing & for reasoning of re-selling the same phone in month of April, 2013. I visited Croma Kandivali on 4th October, 2013 & met Mr. Surendra Choudhary and after testing my phone, he was the single person who was able to hear my sound clearly during phone call. I was told that as it was a display piece it might have gone to service center for unlocking but he was not ready to provide any proof for the same that whether phone was in service center only due to unlocking or for any technical defaults. I was also told that any repaired display piece need not required to disclose before sale to customer.

This is the biggest fraud from ethical Tata Group Company to whom I trusted the most but was delighted with second hand mobile at a price of new handset. Today I am still using the faulty phone & need to use earphone for any voice calls but no one is ready to rectify the problem.

I am not complaining against any individual but it’s against Croma store who sale repaired handset as display new piece and for their wrong process why I should penalized so I want my entire money back with interest & apologized letter from Croma store for cheating me.
Hello All - Don;t purcase product from Chroma. I have a BAD experience with chroma people they don'e even know how to talk to customer.

This is the first and the final request that i am making to your end as you will be taking this case on priority and exception and get me my product returned with fully repaired without any charges. I had brought Croma iPad Mini Slev White on 04/10/2013 from Dahisar Croma store but within a month it was not functioning properly, after complaint to costumer care inform me to go store near by me and they will assist you but at the store they told me to go Borivali infinity customer service center so next day I went that address but the care center found close so next 2-3 days same thing happen again I went to Croma store and told about then they took my tab and they had sent it service canter and ask to wait for 7-10 days, but after 10-12 over still there are no progress and told me to, it will take another 10 days, this is unacceptable why I have to wait for so many days if the product from Croma has not good quality and which is newly brought, if the product is not going repair within time line then it should be replace with new one. Now it is 20 days over but no use.
Think before you buy CROMA Product...

I too have received a very bad service from croma. I had buyed a Sony LED TV on 13th April 2014 and the salesperson told me that it will be installed and setup in 2 days. Today is 21st April and still its not setup. I have called their customer care many times with no help as they can only forward my queries. Its really very very bad customer service from them.
Brought a new Samsung microwave. Door is faulty, this was confirmed by the installation engineer. I asked for a replacement, as this is a brand new product. I was told by Croma guys that Samsung is not approving a replacement. They should understand that when i purchase something from them then its their responsibility to make sure that i am get a working and a brand new product. We bought several appliances from croma centre saket new delhi like AC, Fridge, Washing machine, LCD and home theatre, within 2 years of buying New Philips LCD there is a display problem which has happened, we took the extended warranty at the time of purchase the sales representative told us that philips technician will come to check if any issues happens which was a wrong commitment from last 10 days we are facing problem, first we called philips guys he said extended warranty is under croma not philips, second stage registered complaint in croma they said call extended warranty, registered the complaint there took 4 days to happen all this then on the 6th day somebody came and said he is from philips I told him to show his visiting card, he said that he is from Hitech Services under Mr.Rana Gurgaon, Haryana, they have taken my TV on 12th June 14 and today is 14th June 14, I have been calling Croma customer care they say talk to extended warranty and extended warranty of croma is saying talk to Hitech services and they aren't responding, I registered complaint yesterday in croma
somebody from saket croma new delhi said, he will check it's been more than 24 hours still waiting for his call.

This is such pathetic service and unlawful commitment from croma .

If some body from croma will read this message just want to tell him/her that, if I don't get my TV in working condition by 15th June i.e tomorrow, will lodge a complaint against them .

oh my God, I regret...Why did I bought the croma product.
After reading all reviews, I am surprised why no active step has been taken from TATA side. What I wanted to complain is nothing new this is happening from times still no improvement...OR this means real Tata (I mean bye after being fooled at their store).
DO NOT BUY PRODUCT FROM CROMA DUE TO NO AFTER SALES SERVICE AND POOR CUSTOMER CARE
I wonder how good a after sales service can be when I try to follow up on my repairing status of my Stereo set Croma DVD Stereo set and it is is nearly 2 months now Croma is not able to repair my dvd stereo set.

I am really disappointed with such a big brand like Croma is not able to repair my set and then why have I purchased a Croma Brand when there is no after sales support?

If I do not get my set in working condition I would let everyone know not to buy a croma product and take necessary steps to get my money back so that I can buy a better brand in the market.
The set had been submitted at Croma Store, Crown Interior Faridabad.
In spite of myself agreeing to pay the repairing charges amount of Rs 1500/- as said by your store manager I have not received my set.Why am I sold a product for an amount of Rs 8000/ approx when you do not have a after sales service.

Dear Ajit, I had an very worst experience in my life time with the croma show room, service person, Call center &amp; Split AC 2 TON.I
have bought 3 products in croma, but they are different company
product. The product was good and experience which i got from show room
was excellent.
This time i have planned to buy an Ac and went to croma's show room
in Anna Nagar. I have a went to buy an different company Ac which is
exciting the market but the show room personas told that croma has launched new 2 ton split, the performance was very nice and they told like they have sold 100 pieces in a month.
I thought of OK let me try a new product which is launched in the
market i have ordered the New split Ac of 2 to on 06 July 2014(Sunday)
and it has been delivered to place on 08th July 2014 (Tuesday). Once the
Ac as been delivered person as told like installation will be done in
24 hours on delivery of the product that is not happened here. My
installation as been happened only on 10th July even i accept it.
I have already used an other company AC it was only 1.5 TON in the same room which was excellent performance for past 4 years even now its working fine.The Croma AC 2 ton which is installed now it is totally like air cooler instead of going and buying the 2 ton ac with RS.45000/-. I might have went and bought the air cooler to my room it will cost only RS 5000/-.

Once the installation has been done the AC technician was checking
the temperature. On the same day my brother as realized that AC cooling
is not good. He asked the technician as well the person as told that AC
performance is only this much. After i reached home i felt the same i
thought there is some problem in AC and reached to the customer call
center.
The response which i got from the customer care was really bad
(worst) and person who attend the call is not ready to answer my
question and raising the voice. I told him that i have reached the wrong
person will speak with show room in the mean time he has disconnected
my call and i thought of reaching to the show room who as sold me the
AC.
Today morning i have reached to the show room for the replacement of
the AC but they are not ready to do it. At the same time i have got a
call from other technician they are coming for a checking. After
checking the AC technician has told it working fine. Immediately i
questioned him that form AC it was too noisy, but he told me that cant
replace it. Ac is bought and installed only 1 day ago.
I asked the show room person to come back and check the performance
of the AC. which is good or not?. The show room customer services desk
manager as spoken to me and sent a person with me. Even the
show room person had observed the same problems. I have showed him the
other Ac performance and noise of it. He accepted it and went to back to
show room and reported the same.
The Customer desk manager has told give me an hour time to check
with the technician there was some conversion was happening. I have
wasted my whole day in the show room and it is loss of pay for me.Even i though OK happen is happen at least they will replace the Ac.
Suddenly after 5 o clock they told like other technician is coming
to check the AC this is the final check. I don't know one thing here the
final person who came is service centre manager Laximanan and service
person Thiruvengadam. Almost they were 3 people visited my home to check
the AC. I don't know y again another 2 person is required to check the
AC. Then i have question here is the previous person who came here from
show room and service center are not capable to be a technician?.
Even after Checking every thing the person is not accepting the
mistake from there end still. I have questioned the service person who
was checking the AC and he had accepted. There is some problem in the
AC. He has told Ac should not be this much of noise. The services
manager is giving the signal to the service person not to accept the
truth... Seriously i didn't know one thing, here is Croma, Is true to
the customer let me know??.
The services person has check the Ac with some technical machine and
reported every thing fine. The noise of Ac is like the Air cooler, even
that will not make this much noise.My room is totally 150 Sq ft
area is this is required 2 ton Ac. The Ac which is sold to me is the
failure model. Its totally like cheating the customer with the failure
model.
Sir i request you to make some arrangements to replace the AC. how
much ever its going to cost more i am ready to pay it as well. I have wasted my whole day in croma show room Anna Nagar with the very worst experience.
I think i will get the correct justification if not i need to move
