Delay in announcing MEO class 1 results
I'm a MEO class 1 candidate awaiting results of examination held in the month of July 2010. It has been almost 3 month after the exams, the results have not yet been declared. The Chennai MMD is doing an excellent job & has already announced the results of MEO cl 1 upto the month of August which is already there on the website, where as Mumbai MMD has not yet announced its July results. Many of us are eagerly waiting for it. It is learnt on 15th october 2010, that the results are declared & is with the Mumbai MMD personnel who by petty reasons are delaying it to put it on the Mumbai MMD NOTICE BOARD!( forget about the website!) When approached by some of my colleagues, the MMD personnel asked them to check it through the Website of DG shipping, which itself is not being updated for MEO Class 1 exam results by the Mumbai MMD for the month of June. Till date the website does not show Mumbai MMD exam result MEO class 1 for the month of June 2010 ( results already declared & not published in the website), then where comes the question of publishing the results for the month of July on the web?
The MMD emphasises on utilising the online procedures for application to various catogories like Exams, DCEndorsement, etc. The Online application is suppose to be the easiest one when you consider it in general, but sadly it is the most cumbersome procedure when it applies to MMD. Most of the time the web page gets hung up in the middle where one is in a position where he is unable to save the typed data.
Nevertheless, it is a pain for us to appraoch MMD personnel in Mumbai where we find them all the time in arrrogant mood & often we feel that we are being treated like beggers. The reason may be it is overcrowded by the applicants all the time since people find it familiar & easier to apply for varoius certificates & exams in Mumbai MMD. But this should not be a reason to treat those applicants in that way. Hope to see some changes in the coming days in Mumbai MMD in all respects like efficiency, behaviour of staffs towards poor applicants.
Moreover, it is a well known fact from past experience that whatever complaints made in this regard have just gone waste without any noticeable change. I'm an optimist by nature & with some hope I'm putting this grievance forward to whom so ever it may concern.
Expecting some positive improvement in the subjct quoted,
