[Resolved]  Defence Pension — Non receipt of revised pension

Sir,
I am a lt col (Retired) from army on 12 june 1991. My pension account is with sbi, virbhadra, idpl, rishikesh, vide account number [protected]. Recently, in may 2009, cda (Pensions) allahabad have issued instructions to all banks to give revised pension to lt col ( as per pay band 4 and have also included tables for the grant of basic pay. I talked to sri b k upreti ( of sbi chandani chowk, delhi, phone number [protected] ) who says that the circular has been put on the web site and now it is the responsibility of the concerned branch to make out arrears and give pension. When i talked to the branch, they say that all arrears and revised pension would be issued by sbi chandani chowk, delhi. Sbi is such a good organisation. I know 6th pay commission award has been confusing and has put too much extra work for the banks. Cda (Pensions ) should have issued revised ppo (Pension payable order). Sbi should send hard copy of the said circular to all branches mentioning that the branch should initiate action.
I am sorry to inform you, sir, that we, retired lt. Col have been awaiting this award and sooner or later, i may leave this world without getting my arrears.
Would you, kindly sir, take action for award of revised pension as per pay band 4 to retired lt. Col ?
Regards,
Lt. Col ( retired ) s n saxena

It is shame on our part, as an Indian, to leave our retired defence pensioner to thier fate wrt thier retirement benefit. Are the concerned officials aware this ? Why no one take initative to solve this unwarrented issue? Many of our Banking agencies have grown so much that it is not able to bear its own weight because of which its service, to even a comman man, is so much dull, slow, irreponsible and humiliating.
The suitable remedy is to fleshout such officials/staff who contributes for the organisational negative inertia of Bankin sector or transfer those dull ducks to Ladaak, Glazier sector to know the life of a Jawan in defence service.
I suggest our beloved defence pensioners to write to the concerned Public Information Officer of their Banking Branch - generally he used be the Branch Manager of the bank, ( by spending just Rs. 10) through RTI ( Right To know Information act), ask about the fate of your enhanced pension, its likely could date of release and any thing about your pension. You will get the correct information in reply from that fellow who has been zipping his mouth so far.
May almighty help.

Sir,
May I request to competent authority to clarify whether a Sub (pre 2006 retiree) is entitled to draw more Basic Pension than a Sub (Post 2006 retiree) with equal length of service/trade.

According to one rank one pension sanctioned by the Govt of India (vide circular No 403 dated 10 Mar 2010 ) a Sub (pre 2006) retired after completion of 28 years of service is entitled Rs 11970/-pm as basic pension whereas my pension (Retired on 30 Jun 2006) in the same rank has been sanctioned as Rs 9577/-pm (Basic Pension) by CDA(P) Allahabad which is less than from the basic pension of a Sub retired before 01 Jan 2006.

Please intimate the latest policy on the subject is it justify or otherwise.

Sir, I am a Petty Officer, retired from Indian navy. I understand pension of all officers and jawans were revised by 2.26 times after the 6th pay commission. In addition to the pension, all officers and Jawans were also entitled to 50% of MSP from Oct.2010. While officers get this benfit, jawans are NOT getting this benefit. Why this DESCRIMINATION ?
My old basic pension of Rs.2120 was raised to Rs.4792.But I am NOT getting MSP. Kindly clarify if retd jawan are entitled for MSP and if YES, kindly arrange to add this to my pension. Regards, M.A.Thomas
