PASSPORT VERIFICATION

HI,
I HAVE HAD THE POLICE VERIFACTION FOR THE NEW PASSPORT ON 3 MAY 2010,BUT TILL DATE THE PASSPORT STATUS SAYS THAT THEY ARE STILL WAITING ON THE POLICE VERICATION REPORT.PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL.

What about the huge bribe to be paid for the verifying visit? And, this is done when the applicant is away to office. In one case of a young girl of 19 years, the verifying officer came at 7 pm in winter. The rate of verification has increased now to 5, 000 rupees. If it is not paid despite hints, the officer comes again and again to match the face of the applicant with the photograph. The cause is obvious. Can't government add an amount to the official fees for payment to the official coming for verification? And is it not known to the top most officer? The visiting officer frankly tells that the share goes to the top.

I agree as I faced similar situation with police saying that the share goes to top

And my verification was declined twice because i refused to bribe the verification officer.
