[Resolved]  Delhi Public School, Nerul, Navi Mumbai — harassment of parents by Principal of school

Address:Maharashtra

I WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOU ABOUT THE PROBLEMS FACED BY THE PARENTS OF DPS NAVI MUMBAI ( NERUL ) WHICH IS LEADING TO DAMAGE TO THE BRAND IMAGE OF THE DPS.
THE MAIN REASON THAT THE PROBLEMS ARE NOT BEING SORT-OUTED IS THE PRINCIPAL OF THE SCHOOL , INSTEAD OF BEING CO-OPERATIVE WITH THE PARENTS , HE GETS INTO BRAWL WITH PARENTS . HE IS VERY ROUGH IN HIS LANGUAGE & RUDE IN BEHAVIOUR . RECENTLY HE TOLD A FEMALE PARENT TO SHUT UP , HOW CAN HE DO THAT ? HOW CAN HE OUTRAGE MODESTY OF A WOMEN ? IT IS AN INSULT OF HIS DESIGNATION & SCHOOL . A PRINCIPALPOST IS SUPPOSED TO BE A VERY RESPECTABLE POST BUT HOW CAN THIS GUY BE SO ABUSIVE .

ALSO THIS IS NOT THE PROBLEM FACED BY A SINGLE PARENT BUT ITS FACED BY EACH & EVERY PARENTS WHO GOES TO MEET HIM WITH PROBLEMS / SUGGESTION , HOW CAN A GUY BE SO EGOISTIC ? .YOU CAN CROSS-CHECK THE STATEMENTS MADE BY ME BY BEING A DISGUISE PARENT.

PLZ LOOK IN THE ISSUE ON URGENT BASIS AS THE PROBLEMS ARE INCREASING DAY BY DAY WHICH MAY LEAD TO WAR AGAINST DPS NERUL LEADING TO TARNISHING OF THE DPS IMAGE. RECENTLY THERE IS A ISSUE RELATED TO BUS FACILITY WHEREBY THE SCHOOL IS NOT READY TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBLITY OF THE CHILDREN TRAVELLING IN THE BUSES WHICH IS A SHAMEFUL ACTIVITY. IMAGINE UR SELF AS THE PARENTS WOULD YOU BE QUITE ? ALSO THIS ISSUE WAS COVERED IN ALL LEADING NEWSPAPER LAST WEEK.

THANKING YOU

I am a social worker and have come to know that the school's policy changes every day - regarding
admission to pre primary and kindergarden, after the parents submitted the form, the school has
added more conditions like requirement of ration card in case of 2nd girl child - their ranking changes
every day and parents are confused
The school has a right to make rules but these should be put up on their website before calling for
applications so that a parent knows whether his/her child fulfills these requirements and decide to
apply or not
Applications were invited in January 2013 - a few days back, they gave ranking which meant a girl
child will get additional 20 marks - Now they have said that they will need ration card as proof for
second girl child but for first child they need only affidavit -
Ration card has now become redundant and not accepted any where as residence proof as we are
all aware - secondly the children coming to DPS belong to upper middle class who are not entitled
to procure food grains under ration card - so most of the upper middle class people have no ration
card -
School cannot bring in new conditions every day which amounts to harrassement
The principal is extremely good. I as a parent find it exciting to be in such an environment.
DEAR PARENT,

I fully agree with what you have said about the Dps nerul principal Chabbhra.
When we shifted base from B'lore to mumbai, we were assured of admission as our son was in dps, b'lore. After we shifted, the dps office kept postponing the written test, for a month..Class X had already begun at dps nerul, and we were made to wait like fools for a month, after which my husband tried to meet the Principal..parents seeking admissions are made to stand like fugitives and scheduled castes outside the gates, and no one talks politely, or calls them inside ...after a long wait, finally my husband succeeded in meeting the principal, who said that that a written test will be held in April...he said we could go ahead and buy the books, and assured us that he will get admission...my son secured 85% in the written test...we were told only one seat was vacant...and were told to wait till july...
I was infuriated with the attitude of the principal, who again made himsel[censored]nreacheable and the office, who were pulling us all along with the hope of admission...this is the worst administration i have ever encountered...no respect, no proper organisation...the worst ever i have seen till now!!
finally, my son and i are back in b'lore to complete class X in dps, b'lore itself...here, parents are treated with warmth and respect ...the dps nerul staff and principal ought to get some training from b''lore dps pricipals and staff...a finishing school is what he requires to understand what is the meaning of the words..respect and faith
Now new principal is worse than chhabra. Suddenly changed school dispersal timings not thinking about working parents...had made academics very weak...school will disperse at 11.30am what they will learn...rather shut down the school...once kids are in school it doesn't make difference whether they come back by 11.30 or 1.30pm...he is going to take dps navimumbai down...studies are affecting a lot...
DPS NAVI MUMBAI
Demand of 25000 Rs as Institutional fee after all admission process 2016-17 is over. The school has already charged 1lacs at the time of admission which is non-refundable.now again if school ask for such unauthorised demand is is totally loot.
DPS Navi Mumbai is very low in reputation. Dont take admission is such schools. There aim is to only rob you.

Can someone please confirm what are the subjects in which the kids are tested while appearing for entrance exam for admission to class 2 of DPS Nerul, other than English and Maths?
Arrogant teachers. Excessive bullying and fighting. If you complain, your child is targeted.
