Dell — Regarding Speakers Replacement | |||
Hi, Manoj here from pune,i have DELL INSPIRON N5050 which is in warranty service tag no. 7N4NNT1,i am facing speakers and mouse touch pad problem so i decided to call customer care they solve touch pad problem but for the speaker they are saying you are using VLC Player and that damage you speakers,i have two media players in my system KEMP and VLC so if a person not using VLC player then how damage will occur,i told dell guyz the same story but they are continuously saying the same thing and asking money for replacing my system speakers,why should i pay money if my system is in warranty. one more thing,nowhere is written that if you are using VLC warranty will not cover. help me for this because i dont have money to waste somewhere unnecessarily. Yes same here. Dell cheat people by suitably altering the terms of warranty. I regret now about taking complete cover accidental warranty for 3 years. Wasting my Rs 10000. Getting accidental warranty- Highly not recommended,

Sincere apologies for the experience you have been through. I understand your concern as denial of speaker replacement by Dell due to VLC usage. I need you to understand the reason because VLC when used at high levels i.e. above 100% damages the speakers since the speakers shipped with laptops are only 2W capacity and are not able to take the load. . Unfortunately any damage caused to the system hardware due to third party software is not covered under the warranty.
