[Resolved]  Deutsche Bank Credit Card — Complain for Credit Card

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a credit card user of Deutsche Bank Credit Card User since May 2008.The bank has forcibly cancelled my card without any prior notice and till now it is not providing any reason for cancellation.28th Dec, I have last used this card and when I asked to redeem my accumalated reward points that is 369 as on Dec 2008 which will be Rs. 276.75, now the bank is not allowing me to redeem my points saying that the points is less than 500.I want to make it very clear, I didn’t cancel my card, if I would have done this I would have beared this Rs.276 loss for myself, in this case the bank has cancelled without any prior notice to the me (customer), as being customer I want my Rs.276.75 amount should be adjusted towards my outstanding. The bank is not giving any response to my mail or complain, though the mail was sent to cards.[protected]@db.com, head.[protected]@db.com.
Can uou please take necesary against this bank at the earliest.

Deutsche Bank — Creating the Charges+

Dear Sir,



I have issue cheque of Rs. 35000 (Deutsche Bank) for my payment and deposited in the Parrys ATM chennai on 16/01/2008. But till now it was not hit my Account because of that u peoples charged me LATE PAYMENT FEE AND INTREST CHARGE. You peoples have to send my cheque for clearence how i will be responsible for this. These citbank customer not sending the cheque for clearnce and holding it for some days and creating the late payment and interrest charges to the customer. Please reverse all my charges this s not first time happening with ur organisation. Each and every time u peoles trying to make fool the customer. I don know y u peoples cheating the customers like this u Plese check my last statement i have paid more than my bill amount. For that u peoples not paying interesting but making fraud and charging more charges. I need my charges back. Its my heard earned no like u peoples cheating and making money from the customers.

Deutsche Bank / Credit Card — Telemarketting Call

I have registered for Do Not Call with Vodafone but after that also I am recieving call, please try to stop these things.
This complaint is regarding the calls received for credit card payments on card no: [protected]

Which I hold since. I got a Cheque dropped favoring card a/c of Rs.2000 (ICICI Bank Cheque) at ATM on 23.04.08.

Even then I was repeatedly receiving calls from DB Collection deptt from someone called Rohit and from No.[protected] on 25/04/08 between 2.15pm to 2.40 pm. After communicating to him the Cheque details he forced for some cash payment.

I was on a board Meeting and received 10 calls from him.

Therefore, please send an updated statement and get the payments cleared and cancel the card ASAP as I do not want to continue the relationship with DB.

I will take legal action against the Bank, if I receive any calls further. I am also stopping the Cheque issued to you and sending someone to deposit Rs.2000 on this A/C.

Deutsche Bank Credit Card — Incomplete and deliberate late information sharing

Subject:: Complain # 39922 dated 4th Jan'09, Complain # 04883 and 05244 dated 2nd Jan'09

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am sorry to write this but I am really very embarrassed and annoyed with atrocious services, I have been receiving from deutsche bank on my platinum select credit card.

Now, I realize that I had made bigger blunder to accept this credit card and also paid Rs 5000/= as an annul fee.

I think now the time had come to correct my blunder and correct my blunder and save my further embarrassment and frustration.

I had already mentioned all the Complaints # in the subject line, which will give most of the story by itself.

For your ready reference, I am herewith writing below as well. ( the real reason for frustration)

1. I received my credit card bill on 6th Dec.. Paid in full on 7th Dec.
2. Received confirmation through sms on 11th dec.
3. After that, a lot of advertisement smses received on my registered mobile #, which was ignored anyway.
4. On 2nd Jan’09 I received one letter dated 18th Dec. ( through post) that my cheque could not be credited against my card outstanding as cheque was returned by bank.
5. I am surprised to see this important piece of information through simple post ( not even courier) which took almost 15 days to reach me. So I think the idea was to impose interest on the outstanding amount.
6. I called up on 2nd of Jan’09 immediately after receiving this postal mail and talked to Ms. Afsana ( tele executive on[protected] and explained the entire story and requested that I am not comfortable paying interest and late fee and service tax etc.. Although, Cheque returned fee can be imposed. ( Complaint # 05244).
7. I also said that cheque collection center is also not very neat and that also can be the root cause of of problem, this I have been saying since I joined this credit card that is from Sept’08 onwards but in vain. ( Complain # 04883).
8. After that, on 2nd of jan during almost 45 minutes of conversation, I was not informed that my card would be blocked etc., The only thing I was told that on 4th of Jan, I could call up again and can find out that whether my other charges are reversed or not.
9. Today ( i.e on 4th jan) when I tied using that card in different shops, it was declined. This was really very embarrassing and frustrating experience.
10. Once I call up again ( phone number[protected] and talked to Ms. Deepa, she simply told me that yes the card is being blocked because of non payment. Why I am now even more annoyed as why this important piece of information was not provided to me on 2nd of Jan itself and at-least I could have saved some embarrassment, which I had faced. ( Complain # 39922).


Now, I think I had enough, So thanks for all the atrocious services and grievances, you had provided.

Please guide me how can I surrender my card now as I do not want to undergo further embarrassment.

Quick reply on this regard will be highly appreciated.

I fully agree with you. The same thing happen with me too. They cancelled my card too and now they are neither giving me the reason and adj. my accumulated points. I have also written the there customer care but didn't receive any reply. I am also not going to make any payment untill n unless they are going specify the reason and ready to adjust these points.

I think if they don't give the reason then we should take some legal action against them. And there dues should not be cleared too.

Deutsche Bank Credit Card — money swindled

Hi,
Deutcshe Bank has a nice little racket. I recently canceled my card. There were around 4000 shopping points on the account which translated to around Rs.2500 due to me. I asked Deutsche Bank to refund those points and send me the cheque before canceling the card. They just canceled the card and did not refund the points/ money. Now when I call for my money they say the card has been canceled and nothing can be done and they refuse to acknowledge my request for a redemption of money/ points before cancelation. For a second if I had forgotten to redeem my money, isn't the card company supposed to refund the money anyways?
We though Germans were honest, so much for honesty.

This is in ref. to my credit card no.[protected] in my name as Kamlesh A. Lal.

In the month of july/aug. i received a call from your bank stating we are pleased to offer you personnel loan to the tune of Rs. 28000/- for the period of 12 month(EMI). On showing inttrest i asked for monthly EMI's that i will have to pay towards the repayment of loan. I was told that the 12 EMI's would be of Rs.2540-46 out of which the first EMI you will have to bear the processing fee so that would be something 3000 odd.Rest 11 emi's would be fixed 2540.46 and absolutely nothing more then that.I had raised querry as to later on you shud not charge me anything apart from 2540.46 no service tax no other hidden charges whatso ever of any nature till the end of 12 months.The tele executive gave me assurance that your EMI's would be only to the tune of Rs. 2540.46 and nothing more.

Now as par the terms and conditions agreed upon i accepted the personnel loan.For 5 months i received the bill as per agreement between me (borrower) and your bank (lender) and all EMI's were paid in due time.

From jan/09 bank started sending me bills for amount exceeding the amont agreed upon between us prior to sanctioning loan.This was contrary to the terms agreed upon between us at the time of me accepting the loan there for i called upon the phone banker and i also brought to her notice that i was asked to pay(fix) EMI of Rs.2540.46 so i am sending the cheues for the balance EMI's in accordance to the terms agreed upon mutually by us prior to loan.

I would also bring to your kind attention that I am still paying the balance EMI's in due time for the amount of 2540.46 the amount for which i am committed to.

Kindly look into the matter and give me the waiver of all other charges levied on me and send me the rectified bills.In order to maintain healthy and good relations between us.

Further more if you do not wish to co-operate then i also request you to cancell the above mentioned credit card issued on my name.

Deutsche Bank Credit Card — Extra Late payment charges

Dear Sir/ Madam

I am using Deutsche Bank Credit Card No. [protected] from August 2007. In May 2009 statement bank has charged me Rs. 423 as a late payment fee. I have launched a complaint to bank for reversal of payment. But bank has rejected the same. My payment due date to the bank is 28th of every month & I have made the payment of Rs. 600/- on 21st April through ICICI Bank cheque at Deutsche Bank Drop Box in Technopolish Park, Saki Naka, Andheri. The Bank has cleared this cheque after the due date & charging me extra Rs. 423/- for late payment. Same thing the bank is repetedly doing with my other colouges.

Pl. go the needful to reverse the money & stop my bank card at the earlist.

company is sending me fake bills for unused product which i havn't recieved till date.company is still sending me bills even after giving full details .
I am facing similar problem, charging late fee because they did not collect the cheque from drop box in time.All people facing such issue should come together

Deutsche Bank Credit Card — Electronic withdrawal of money

Deautscha Bank has withdrawn a large sum of money from my Bank account by illegally reactivating Electronic Clearing Service and it was done without my knowledge. All DBCA card holders should cancel ECS through their own bank as opposed to trusting DBCA.

Three managers (Meghana Rane, R. Padwal and D'Souza) in DBCA must be avoided as these are unprofessional and vindictive managers. They colluded to create new charges in my account to punish me for closing the account.

Deutsche Bank Credit Card — Harassement by Bank's Credit Card Division/ False claim by Bank on unused credit card

I am Soumyendu Biswas, Asst. General Manager of a PSU, residing at P-398 Parnasree Pally, Flat:A-4, kolkata 700 060. Following are the salient points on which I want your intervention.I have all the documents, mails as described below with me.

1. Received the Deutsche Bank credit card in November/ December 2006.

2. Never used the credit card ie, from December 06 to July 09.

3. Received a phone call on 21.10.08 at about 11a.m. in my Office, from a representative of credit card section of Deutsche Bank (in the land line of my Office) regarding a holiday package offer, in which I had given prima facie acceptance, subject of sending all relevant documents related to the offer from banker’s end to me as promised, verbally over telephone. At that time it was informed to me that I will get the relevant papers of the offer within 15 days from the call date, ie within 04.11.08. They didn’t even tell me that this verbal approval/acceptance of offer will be a binding in my part.

4. Suddenly, I got a monthly statement bill on 17.12.08 in which Rs. 2686/ was debited in my credit card account. In fact the Bank started debiting Rs.1123.67 as EMI on 23.10.08 against my credit card for the account of World Vacation Offer for which I have not given any written consent as because I could not take my decision due to the non availability of the detail paper/written documents indicating the terms, conditions, validity, scope of deliverables as promised by the bank personal .

5. I had sent a mail to the Head Services, Deutsche Bank, credit card section, on 20.12.08 stating that I am not accepting the offer as
A) The relevant papers of the offer has not been sent within stipulated period of 15 days,
B) The documents related to the offer were not even sent till 20.12.08.
C) Without my written signature of acceptance of offer, the bank has started the EMI of its own, EMI option also not opted by me. I also requested them to close my credit card immediately.

In my opinion, I cannot take the risk of exposing my family in a holiday tour which includes a disable daughter of mine to those persons who are not ethical, unreliable and also not responding to the customer’s need in time.

6. On 26.12.08 Deutsche Bank replied in mail stating that “We are acting upon the concern highlighted by you and will get back to you with the status shortly." No communication was received from the Bank for the period 26.12.08 to 22.01.09

7. On 22.01.09, when I was out of station, a packet came to my residence by a courier service (Blue Dart), in which no information was written on the cover of the packet that it has come from Deutsche Bank. It was accepted by my father, who is 79 years old. After coming back on 28.01.09 at Kolkata I found the packet with papers of holiday package of Plat5 ( Deutsche Bank’s partner for the holiday offer )along with a wristwatch inside the packet.

Please note that packet with detail of offer has come after 3 months from 21.10.08 and 1 month after informing to the bank of not accepting the offer by mail on 20.12.08, and also 21 days after Bank’s mail dated 26.01.09.

8. On 30.01.09 I sent a mail stating the fact of sending papers related to the offer at my residence and the fact that Bank also has not given any consideration/ importance to the mail sent on 20.12.08, and subsequently their own mail on 26.01.09.In the mail I requested the Bank to take back the materials from my residence by their representative. Also informed them that I am not interested in their offer as stated in my mail dated 20.12.08.


9. Bank mailed me on 2.2.09 stating that they are not been able to contact me. If this is true, then how the Bank personal could contact me earlier occasions? My Office land line (BSNL) number is same as earlier. However, on 3.2.09 I immediately mailed my mobile number . In the mail I once again requested them to take back the envelope send by them.

10. On 06.02.09 Bank replied to my mail dated 3.02.09 stating "we are looking upon the concern highlighted by you and will get back to you with the status shortly."

10. On 27.03.09 I got a mail from Bank stating “We have investigated the referred matter and according the update received, we have received a positive consent for the Great World Vacation offer. We are unable to reverse the offer” which is totally baseless.

11. On 07.04.09 I sent a mail stating the unethical practice they are following and asked them to enquire the entire matter again.

12. In the offer document of Plat 5 (Deutsche Bank’s partner for tour & travels) the following is written in the 1st point of their terms & conditions “ The Bank shall contact the cardholder for determining their interest in the program. If the cardholder gives his consent for participating in the program, the Bank shall forward details of the cardholder to Plat 5. Plat 5 shall then contact the cardholders directly and send Vouchers to the cardholders. The cardholder hereby gives his/her irrevocable consent for sharing of personal information relating to the cardholder with Plat5.for the purpose of the offer under the program. The cardholders can avail the offer only when he/she pays a handling fee of Rs.500/ along with duly filled up Voucher to Plat5. All payments made by the Cardholder in terms of the offer under the program shall be made through the card. Upon such payment and receipt of Voucher by Plat5, Plat5 shall send a joining gift to the cardholder.”

It is worthwhile to mention here that the voucher is still with me & nothing has been written on that voucher.

13. On 7th July, 2009, a person, who introduced himself as a representative of Deutsche Bank, came to my house to collect the money without prior information and harassed my family which includes my father(79 years), my mother(76 years).

14. Next day the same person rang me on my mobile, and I asked his name repeatedly but he did not disclose his name rather he disconnected the phone. Since it was very turbulent time in my family ( my mother in law expired on that day) I could not keep his phone number.

15. Finally, I received an order from the Office of the District Legal Service Authority, 24 Parganas (South) to appear in person before the Lok Adalat on 25.07.09 for amicable settlement of the petition/case, & the petitioner of the case is Deutsche Bank.

16. On 25.07.09 a person named Avijit Goswami, Phone number[protected], introduced himself as Bank's representative rang in my mobile. When I told him that let me write down his name & phone number, he immediately disconnected the phone.

16. The aforesaid matter was informed to R.B.I, Office of the Banking Ombudsman, 3rd floor, 15 N.S. Road, Kolkata-700001 on 24.07.09.

17. I made a General Diary against the activities of Bank in Behela Police Station on 27.07.09.( G.D No : 2704, dated 27.07.09)

Deutsche Bank / Credit Card — Complaint against Services rendered

Dear Sir / Madam,

I had taken a credit card from Deutsche Bank with an initial credit limit of Rs. 75000 - Credit Card No: [protected]. I used the credit card for a few months and paid all my bills on time. All of a sudden my credit limit was capped at Rs.11,000. I decided to surrender my card with a last bill of amount Rs. 785 pending. So I called up the call center and asked them if I could redeem my reward points even after surrendering my card. I do not remember the exact date when this call was made as I couldn't foresee something problematic.
So I destroyed my card and when the next bill of Rs.785 with reward points of 354 points due to me, I called the call center for redeeming my points garnered. I was told that I couldn't redeem my points unless it was a minimum of 500 reward points. I quickly responded and questioned why I wasn't told about this earlier. The executive apologised but said I still couldn't redeem my points.

Initially I refused to pay up out o[censored]tter disgust for the kind of services rendered. Then I paid up an amount of Rs.[protected]Total amount due - no of points earned).

In the interim I had communicated to the bank repeatedly regarding this; there was no resolution. In stead they gave me replies that
- I had placed no request for redemption that is why I wasn't informed.
This is true that I had placed no request for redemption but I had queried whether I would have no issues in redeeming my reward points. The executive replied that I wouldnt have any difficulties.

- Later I was told that I should have gone through the detailed pamphlets that were sent with the Credit Card.
If that was the case then there would be no requirement for a call center with executives entertaining such requests.

And now I have recovery agents of the bank calling me, who have no knowledge of the background of this case as I guess repeated communication (email) to the bank was not recorded. I have received at least 4 or 5 such calls. And most of the time the executive mentions that they would check the details of the case and get back, which happened only once. And all she said was that my charges were reversed as requested. That was never my complaint.

The initial amount here due was Rs. 354 which I strongly believe is not a huge insurmountable figure for me to pay up. But I did this as

a) When it comes to sourcing a credit card they go all out to harass the prospect just to get a customer for the bank through their hired executives.
b) But when it comes resolving issues like mine mentioned above there is no customer facing representative to resolve the case of the customer.

As a customer I do not deserve this. I hereby request for a immediate and final resolution of this case!

Deutsche Bank Credit Card — LATE FINE CHARAGE OF RS 586.55 FOR THE PREVIOUS BILL OF RS 919.51 AND THE CHEQUE DROPPED THE BOX BEFORE DUE DATE ON 23/09/2009.

IT IS TO INFORM U THAT I AM CREDIT CARD HOLDER OF DEUTSCHE BANK AND NO. IS [protected].FOR THE LAST MONTH BILL WAS RS.919.51/- AND DUE DATE WAS 23/9/2009. THE SAME AMOUNT WAS GIVEN BY CHEQUE BEFORE DUE DATE WHICH IS ALREADY MENTIONED.BUT I GOT THE NEW STATEMENT WHERE I AM SEENING THE ABOVE BANK WAS CHARGED LATE FINE RS.350/-, INTEREST CH.RS.181.78/-AND SERVICE CHARGES IS RS 54.77/- ( I.E.TOAL RS IS 586.55/-) FOR THE LAST BILL WHICH WAS RS.919.51/-. I HAVE SEVERALY REQUESTED TO THEIR CALL CENTRE NO.66016601 FOR WAIVING THE LATE FINE CHARGES BUT PPL OF THE BANK DENIED THE SAME AND ADVICE ME TO GIVE THE LATE FINE CHARGES . INSPITE OF THE RECD OF BILL OF RS.919.51/-.NOW I WANT TO PAY THE ONLY RS 3881/-WHICH IS ACTUALLY OUTSTANDING WITH THE BANK FOR THIS MONTH AND DUE DATE IS 23/10/2009.HOPE , CONSUMER FORUM WILL HELP ME IN THIS REGARD BECAUSE I AM NOT CHEATED WITH BANK BUT ABOVE BANK FORCE ME TO GIVE THE UNLAWFULL LATE FINE CHARGES AGAINST THE BILL OF RS 919.51/-WHICH IS ALREADY CREDITED WITH THE ABOVE BANK.
