I have a housing loan with DEWAN HOUSING FINANCE CORPORATION LIMITED (Bangalore) since 2007. Loan amount taken for Rs. 9, 30, 000/- with a rate of interest started with 12% and now I am paying 13.25%. This is extremely high for current market scenario Since I decided to go for a Nationalized bank loan, I asked DHFL to give a statement with foreclosing charges, I got a shocking foreclose charges of 5% + 10% service tax on 5% = 50, 000/- only fore closing charges. I am also, exactly having the same case with DHFL. My loan outstanding now is 4 Lacs 30 thousand.
I heard that a lady usha vaid has approched consumer court against SBI, and got back her foreclosure charges. Just check "State Bank of India Vs Usha Vaid & Anr " in Google. Hope we have a way to stop these money looters!!!

first send letters, emails, to DHFL asking a refund of your foreclosure charges, and If they dint respond, approach consumer court with the copy of all letters, emails u sent.
