[Resolved]  DHBVN Office, Kanhai Village, Gurgaon — False Electric Billing

I am residing in C62, Technical Paradise CGHS, Plot # GH61, Sector - 56, Gurgaon, Haryana. The eletricity is supplied by DHBVN and my society comes under servise of DHBVN Office, Kanhai Village, Gurgaon.
Usually, my electricity bill for bi-monthly cycle comes in the order of Rs[protected]. However in the current billing cycle (from November 2009 to January 2010), my electricity bill has come ~Rs 6500 (which is abnormal as per usage of electricity in my flat). On visiting the electricity office, nobody cares about my problem and the response in a positive manner.
May I request you to help me in such situation and get the electricity bill corrected to a realistic amount. Also, I shall be thankful if the route cause of excessive billing is found and rectified so that such type of incorrect billing shall not be repeated in future.

Electricity Board, Gurgaon — Excessive Electricity Bill

Hello,

I am a resident of Apna Enclave, Gurgaon. I am facing the problem of excessive electricity bill being charged in spite of less usage as my mother is the only one who reside at home for full day and there is not much electical appliances usage.

Following are the details for current Bill

Nothing Different - i guess its just that working couples who do not have time to run around the goverment offices (which we are deliberately made to do) ...fall prey to these office BABUs who do not have basic mannerism also..we have been paying high electricity bills for last 2 years - and going back and forth (by getting late to work)..as the meter is running faster than expected - so much so that the - ELectricity office rep who comes every month - suggested - ""mam- you must get your meter checked - it seems to be the fastest i have ever noticed""...we are a working couple with 1 small child and babysitter at home...we get a usual bill of 9 thousand to 14 thousand every two months...we are sick of wasting our money - what are we paying So much TAXes to the goverment for - if we cannot be attended to ...now the SDO has asked us to purchase a new meter for 4 thousand and get the same planted parallely to check the meter- on asking if we would be re-imbursed / adjusted for the earlier amount or old meter that we got - we were denied everything...that's the only way they would help????????? dont know who to escalate or take advice from would be approaching teh consumer court for this now...KANHAI GAON - Gurgaon Electricity office needs a REVAMPED staff asap...

Yeh DHBNV Dept. ke sabhi log mili bhakt karte hai ...Sec.44 Kanhai Gaon ( Opp. Gold Souk ) me sabhi ghar me sham ke time Kundi lagti hai per yaha koi bhi DHBNV Dept. ka koi bhi Officer kabhi chk karne nahi aata .. or agar koi galti se aa bhi jaye to jo 50, 100 mil jaye yeh usi me khush ho jate hai .. in ke baap ka kya ja raha hai ...
tabhi to aaj humara desh itna piche hai ...
I am also a victim of Kanahi Gaon. They have put 48000/- Rs into my account. The amount is of a theft case of 2005 when the house was being built. I have bought the house in Jun-2010. Now after sleeping for 5 years they have put the amount on me rather than the previous owner. I dont know what to do and how to resolve this issue. Plz help if you can.

I would like to mention that malfunctioning fast running meters, huge electricity bills are becoming a constant headache for gurgaon residents. Even the checkmeters are not efficient enough.

The govt. should take some corrective measure for the more efficient, error-free electricity meters.
everybody is saying their problems..
Why don't we come together and fight against them with satyagrah..see if we'll go in a group of 10-15 (at least) then definitely they will have to do as per the norms set in the electricity dept...

I you want to resolve the issue..just collect the victims..and let's go together..

And they have put Rs. 9, 000 as miscellaneous charges and no one is explain what these expenses are.

No Power supply from last night

Hi,

There is no power supply from last 12 hours or more in May field gardens
J block . Request you to please get this checked.
There use to be fluctuations / power cuts on daily basis but this 12+ hours power cut is getting too much .
i am also resident of sector 57, sushant lok 3 this month DHBVN has charge of Rs. 7000. which is beyond our imagination.
i called up the concerning person but no response i received regarding the same.
my average bill since last one yrs is not more than 2500/- which is right as per electricity power consumption in my house.
No idea with whom we consult.
