electricity bill payment

The payment made of electricity bill in time through cheque but the cheque is not clear within week by electricity division. It is clear by bank after 5-6 month. I want to clear my cheque within one week.

I totally agree with this problem...Because i am also facing the same problem. I have deposited the cheeque for the payment of 10 months of electricty bill...but the cheque wasn't submited to the bank since last 3 months.

All i can say that only that only god knows how this dept is running.

I purchased a Flat in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, please let me know the procedure, how the electricity meter/connection be transferred in my name, which is presently in the name of previous owner.

we all residents of DLF DILSHAD EXTENSION -II are facing a huge problem of long electricity cuts through out the day and there has been no scheduling of cuts too. we all will b grateful to department of electriity if cuts are minimised and scheduled

I have purchased a flat in Indrapuram and already paid for electricity meter almost 10 days back. Even after several request and followup, no one from electricity board is ready to provide any specific date for meter installation, when at the same time if you pay through Dalal, within 1-2 days they are installing meter. I'm frustrated with this department and their employees.

It has been worst in Nasratpura area of Ghaziabad. No body is looking at the power cuts as they are endless in no. with long durations. Out of 24 hrs in a day, hardly electricity supply is 5-8 hrs. We are totally frustrated as when one reaches home after entire day of work, there is no electricity & also inverters get emptied . Kindly look into the matter seriously & help us out.

Sir, There was a great problem with electricity in Vijay Nagar Zone. In this zone the wire are very old and broken everyday for 2 to 4 times and the Line man are not agry to repair the line at the time. They take shut down any time and distrub the electricity. ElectroSteel Sub station is not reposnable for any Phone calls to discribe the details of Power Cut. Kindly issue the Athorized officers Telephone No. for any quairies.

Dear Sir,

With reference to the above, we would like to submit our humble requests to you due to continuous power cut in the colony.:-

1. The Electricity Supply is just 4-5 Hours in a day (2 hours in day time and 3 hours at night.
2. It basic needs of a people, we cannot survive without electricity.
3. People agile more than 60 have to sleep atleast 6 to 8 hours to survive and without electricity supply they are unable to sleep and consequently their health is going bed to worst.
4. The entire colony face security problem at high risk.


People living in NCR i.e. very near to country capital and getting only 4 to 5 hours electricity supply in a day, is really ashame for them as well as for the country. It is our humble request to you, please arrange to short out the problem at your level best so that we are able to get undisturb power supply.

Hello sir,
I m very sorry to say the u.p electricity department is a worst department. All member of this department is only active for take bribe. I have to change my electric meter due to in electic short-circuit my electric meter become dead. In electic department no body is ready to entertain my complain. No boby is ready to give assurence to how much time will take to chang my electric meter. But through all active DALAL in department says just pay 3000 money, meter will change in 1 day. I don't know what i have to do. From top to bottom all are corrupt. I'm frustrated with this department and their employees.
Kindy any pl. suggest me, and tell me to what is the rule of to change the electric meter.

Sub: why too much power cut problems in NCR Region ..

I have been moved to Ghaziabad 2 weeks back, and I found it difficult to survive here with power cut in sunny season. We are staying in National Capital Region and power supply is worst ever than a typical remote area . why UP goverment not taking any initiative to overcome this problem ? Each problem has some solution, they should plan for some other alternative power plants with alternative reasources like renewable resources, thermal, nuclear. It is very shameful for india and us that we are living in this situation.

UP Govt : Please take some intiative to overcome this problem.

Dear Sir,

Electricity Meter of my home was running above normal utilization last year in August. I submitted a request in power dept. in Vasundra for meter check. After contineous follow up for many days finally the check meter was installed and as expected the old meter was running above normal utilization.
The meter was replaced by submitting the fees for new meter.

This month the display of this new meter was not working and we were asked to pay again for new meter. After filling the fees for new meter, the meter was replaced on 1st August. In last 8 days it is showing 90 units consumption, and which is very above from our normal power consumption and we are sure that this meter is running fast.

We appealed the department to check the meter and again they say to fill the meter check fees.

Sir, in last 12 months this is 3rd meter with complaints and if the meters are having problem then why are we supposed to fill the fees again and again.

In every cycle of billing a fixed amount of Rs 240 is paid, which is the meter charge, then why the consumer has to pay the fees for meter check and replacement of meters which are faulty from the first day.

If the last 12 months we have received 3 faulty meter and in addition to paying the meter check and meter replacement fees, a hefty sum of money has been given to the power dept. officials otherwise our complaints will never be processed. We have been very frustrated from last one year with all this stuff. We are suffering because of these faulty meters and the fees that is charged even if a fixed amout is paid in every bill...

I therefore, request you to get our electircity meter be checked and replaced without having to pay any further fees...

i have problem with the faulty meter installed at my resi. Its around 3.5 yrs new connection has been installed, after approx. a year again the meter has been replaced due to fault in it after paying approx Rs. 2500(officially & unofficially) & making atleast 10 to 15 visits to there office again now my meter has a faded display as my meter was replaced by repaired one Now again they are saying to make a complain so that my meter could be replaced, means i have to pay Rs 2500 to the electricity board & i have to make a repeated visit to the electric office on working day(after taking leave from your own office). Is it Justified to pay Rs2500 per year apart from electricity bill & wasting your 10 to 15 leaves for this ?
Pls make me aware about the process how i could get rid of mental tension ?

I agree with all, This is not agood approach to take cheque from the consumer and then after 3-4 months it sends to Bank.This is rediculus.


Shoudl be convert into automated website / Payment site.

Hello sir,
It is submitted that I am holder of valid Electrical Connection No. 267329 and Book No. 6031 is installed at my residence ( Plot No–116 FF, Vaishali Sector- 1, Gzb).
It is Observed that the meter is stopped (at meter reading 4096) and is not showing actual consumption. It is therefore requested that the above meter may please be got checked at an early date and adequate action be taken. If it is not brought in proper order, it may please be changed.

Dear Sir,

I am Vinod Kumar living at Plot No. B-239 Main Shalimar Garden Ghaziabad UP from May'09. I am having two complaints regading Meter Running Very Fast and second Delay in cheque submition for clearance by Electricity department.
Can any one guide me what is the processer for change the meter because my meter is running very fast.
