[Resolved]  Election Commission Uttar Pradesh — non-issuance of voter cards

Address:Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

It was reported thro’ newspapers that door to door survey will be done for revision of voter lists but tilldate nobody has turned up and as a result we have not got listed. I got submitted two forms for preparation of voter cards of mine(g.b.pathak) and my wife(Smt.Devika Pathak). We are senior citizens residing in B-85, Keshav Vihar, Kalyanpur, lucknow. The forms were submitted thro’ some samajwadi party worker residing in Kalyanpur itself. He told us that forms have been submitted in election office and will be delivered to us after personal verification at our residence but till date no body has turned up from lucknow office of election commissioner though more than 2 months have passed. We are residing at present addresss for last 4 yrs and nobody ever came in this connection. Please look into this case urgenty so that we may be covered in voter list timely. It appears that voter cards are being prepared selectively. It was also reported in newspaper(amarujala) that people of BSP are deputed in election office and they are not entertaining the forms submitted by workers of other parties which is most condemnable if it is so. I hope u will take immediate cognigance of this matter and will rectify the loopholes. I sent mail to your office earlier also but nothing has been done nor i recd.any reply.
Pl. refer my complaint dt.2.11.11 regarding non-preparation of voter cards. I was given user name and password as [protected] but no action has yet been reported nor anybody from your deptt.visited our place for verification. I submitted two forms 3 months back thro' a samajwadi party worker who resides in our locality and he confirmed many times that the forms have been submitted in your office. Are the applications lying in pile of papers or feeded to wastepaper basket is not clear. It was reported in the amarujala newspaper that applications recd.thro' party workers other than BSP, are not entertainted. God knows the truth. The forms submitted were on the names of : 1. Girja Bhushan Pathak and 2. Smt.Devika Pathak, residents of B-85, Keshav Vihar, Kalyanpur(near ringroad), Lucknow-226022. I hope you will look into the matter again and speed up the expediting of voter cards. Govt.may introduce any law or notifications but the mind frame of the employees will never change.
