Charging illegal Money against blame to fault in Meter-Slow Running.
Few months before our meter was running slow due to which we have received less amount bill under amount 100 for two months. We have been told by our neighbors that we should give application to changing our meter.However, the very next day we have given the application after few days few fellows from electricity board came for changing meter.And had changed the meter.
After few days they said this meter is old and working slowly.So we have to charge the amount from you. They gave us a notice against it we have to deposit Rs.16,000/- for the same.We have shown the bill for last two months of which we have received the less amount rest months bills are correct.But they said that it was running slow from last few years.
But after change of meter and with new meter also we have received around same amount which we use to receive previously.The head Engineers whose name Mr.Kale Gupta asked us to give complaint in written,we gave them in written as well as shown them the bills as proof.
Then also they asked us to pay the amount otherwise they will cut the electricity.
why we suffer for the same if we are innocent, If there is no mistake from our side.Instead we went for their betterment after receiving very less bill from our side we went for changing it.But rather then appreciating they have charged us wrongly. Why we pay extra charges if we are not wrong. It’s a matter of our family reputation in our society what people say.
After that our meter bill was continuously remaining same, if MPEB has to do some changes so why people suffer for that, please keep this matter seriously.
Now we have objection on the below points:
1.We have received the less reading amount only for two months n prior to that the bill amount was correct, we have all the bills with us which proves that we are right.
2. After change of meter we have received around same amount bill which we use to receive previously before two months of slow reading.Then also they had not consider that though we have showed them all the bills.
3.They had cut the electricity twice when my mother was alone at home.And father was not in town.Due to which we have paid some amount however we are not suppose to pay because we are not wrong.
4.Electricity people have asked for some bribe for solving our issue.
5.We belong to middle class family we cant afford to pay such illegal amount.But then also we had paid around Rs.8000 due to inconvenience we faced after electricity cut.
6.This meter is in the Name of my mother Mrs. Kamla Verma.
7.My father had tried many times but he dont have enough time to go again n again for the same issue when he realized that they will not resolve the issue till we gave them the bribe.
8.Last month i came back from Pune, i did my MBA from pune and me and my father are together paying my education loan.So this amount matters to us.I was working there but due to these problems i relocated in Bhopal.I am aware of consumer forum and action against the complaints.
So please take our issue seriously n please try to take some action against our complaint.

Electricity Meter — Flase notice against meter slow
Dear Sir/Mam,My house meter was changed on dec 27th by the Electricity department as per the norms of the electricity department has framed for it. After few months one of the invegilation team from the electricity department has checked the electric meter and found it slow by 68.04. But telling you truly we have not touched it or tampered it in anyway since we are regular payee of elcetricity department and never get into this problem. I also have one big point dear reader the time when he had come to take the reading of the meter there was a "POWER FALIURE" then how did he take the reading???.
We are greatly in trouble please someone help us. We people are really suffering.
