[Resolved]  Electrolux — Faulty product, service

I purchased Electrolux Refrigerator in Nov 2006 from a local dealer. I started facing problems from January 2008 with the product as its cooling capacity weakened and soon become dysfunctional. After repeated compaints to the service centre, the fridge was finally repaired on March 17. The company attributed the delay to unavailabilty of parts - compressor and gas. We paid them 1, 400 rupees for the bad service and also got a 6 months warranty.
After exactly 2 months, the same problem re-surfaced. We again complained and this time the service was prompt.
Four months after that, around 20th September we started facing similar problems. But ignored thinking it can't happen so soon. We saw ice-cream melting and flowing out of the freezer, vegetables drying up and milk souring. Again a complaint was filed. The problem, rectified within a week, was similar - gas choke up. The service centre again charged 1, 300 rupees this time.
This fridge has now become a white elephant for us. This is an unwarranted expenditure. It is not feasible to keep paying 1, 500 rupees every six months for an unsatisfactory product.

Dear Customer Care,

With great frusttration I am bound to write this mail that I am being cheated by the dealer who gave me faulty piece of your company's product. The Refrigetartor which I bought is not working fine from the day one and we are facing great difficulties which we definately raised with the dealer and after lots of follow ups he sent some mechanic some time to check the compressor, some time the cooling vent, some times the temrature maintanance.

We had a great faith in your product, but could you accept that due to a small product, a small dealer of yours put your company's reputation at stake.

Please refund my peice with the new one ASAP.

Refrigerator — Complaining Regarding your poor service or a faulty product

I am writing to complain about the punctuality, quality and customer service in your company.I puchased a refrigerator (modle no:FF26c, 250Lt) from your dealer (shyam lal krishan lal) on 25th of june 2008 and i found refrigerator is not working ( faulty product) . After that i complained your service and customer care 11 -15 time my custermer ID is BG/c/0608/18359 and request no GB [protected] and After that they send a Engineeer( sonu) to visit and Enginner found that refrigerator is not working then he told me for replacement of refrigerator om Moday(30th june 2008) and he take a copy of bill from me.

After waitting for lone time, i am complaint again to your custermer care( nitin, [censored]el, rahul, namarta, varsha, kiran and jatin) again and again and then they give me one more date 2nd july 2008 on that date we will replace(compaint no: GB[protected]), but they not take any accation. they tell me every time we will arainge call back for you from my seniour's but still i am not gaitting any call of responce.

Could I please ask you to look into these matters - else i am complaint to Mr. Arvind Uppal and sajay singh

Electrolux Refrigerator — NOT WORKING FROM TIME OF PURCHASE

DEAR SIR,

WE PURCHASED A BRAND NEW " ELECTRLOX " REFRIGERATOR FROM THE DEALER IN COX TOWN, BANGALORE (KUNDAN ELECTRONICS) IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER 2007. FROM THE TIME OF PURCHASE (IMMEDIATELY AFTER 1 WEEK), THE REFRIGERATOR STOPS COOLING AND THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT ALSO STOPS WORKING.

SEVERAL TECHNICIANS CAME TO SEE & RECTIFY THE PROBLEM, EACH COMPLAINT TAKING MORE THAN 2 WEEKS FOR A TEHNICIAN TO COME. AND NOW A YEAR HAS PASSED WITH THE PROBLEM STILL NOT SOLVED.

FINALLY A SENIOR TECHNICIAN REPORTED THE PROBLEM TO THE VIDEOCON OFFICE IN WILSON GARDEN OFFICE IN BANGALORE TO ONE MR. RAVI WHO IS IN CHARGE OF ISSUING THE REPLACEMENT ORDER. BUT HE ALSO GAVE SOME LAME EXCUSE STATING THAT THE SAME MODEL IS OUT OF STOCK AND THAT HE WILL GIVE US A BETTER MODEL FROM VIDEOCON. NOW 2 MONTHS HAVE PASSED.

WE HAVE MADE SEVERAL TELEPHONE CALLS, EMAILS AND THIS RAVI HAS EVEN STOPPED TAKING OUR CALLS.

THE FRIDGE HAS BEEN LYING IDLE FOR THE PAST 1 YEAR AS WE COULD NOT USE THE FRIDGE.

CAN YOU PLEASE INSTRUCT THEM TO SEND A BRAND NEW REPLACEMENT IMMEDIATELY.

I purchased Electrolux Refrigerator in Aug 2005 from a local dealer. I started facing problems from January 2006 with the product as its cooling capacity weakened and soon become dysfunctional. After repeated compaints to the service centre. From 2006 to 2008 two sensers ans 1 timer has been changed costing us Rs.6000-to 7000/- we paid them the amount because company has supplied us the faulty piece or may be the company is producting only these types of products. Last senser has changed in 2007 with 3 months warranty exactly after 3 months, the same problem re-surfaced.
.
But ignored thinking it can't happen so soon. We saw ice-cream melting and flowing out of the freezer, vegetables drying up and milk souring. Again a complaint was filed. .Now this time compressor gas times senser everything is not working fridge is like a dustbing everything smelling a lot. Insects are roaming inside the refriegerator.

This fridge has now become a white elephant for us. This is an unwarranted expenditure. It is not feasible to keep paying 200-3000 rupees every three months for an unsatisfactory product.

Either u take it back or give us the replacement with the new one. Its really a blunder mistake v had done by buying the product of Electrolux. I had 100 employees i had already circulated mail to them about the products of electrolux and the services by electrolux. Next time I am going to give in the newspaper if nt get the favourable response. As i hv seen limit of Manager service north delhi Mr.Subhash Sehgal.

This is really disgusting. Customers r facing problem bt company is not giving the right service.
I bought Electrolux refridgerator in the year 2004 Presently the fridge is not functioning properly, there is obsolutely no cooling in the second compartment . There is avg cooling in the top freezer compartment. There is no proper service provider in chennai. Pl provide some remedy. I have purchased it for around 14500/- not a small money for us.
My old " Allwyn refrigerator" is not cooling properly. Please let me know addresses and Tel No. of service center at or near Vikas Puri.

i have purchased 445 litres frost free refrigerator ER45FF[protected] from atul tarders court road saharanpur through bill no.19286 dt[protected]. it had making trouble after one month.atul traders had taken this complain four times in a year and always promised that now the complain is over . they werec not ready to replace it . now thae same is not working since last complin dt[protected]. and they are saying that warranty is over .what can i do. is it a good practice for business.

Kundan Electronics is a big theif i would say. We too had bought a fridge from Kundan, and since the time we have bought it, we have been very unhappy with it. I think Kundan Electronics only sells products that are not up to the mark. Beware of buying products from Kundan Electronics.

door was little loose.On mentionig the same to the owener, assuered us the best service of the company, as well as proved his salesmanship by selling the unit.Being local he is also my very known .
Moreover, for our pharma unit I purchased two such Refrigerator and very recently recomended to buy
one such unit for my sister in law Mr Biswanath Dutta/mrs Paramita datta., because this refrigerator is
really a Refrigerator in all respect.I had some working knowledg in a cold storage in Mafco yard, Thane,
New Bombay and Wagle Ind. Area.
Now, the most unfortunate point is, the loose handle of the refrigerator has broken since last 3 months
and found that Reshmi entprs has no time to listen my complain on the ground Time bar.

I have purchased Electrolux Regrigertor in April 2009 from a NEXT in borivli(west). I started facing problems from May 2009 with the product as its started leaking water and the doors are not getting close properly. I have done sevral complains to Eletrolux and to NEXT but no respone from there side. Once person came from company for checking asking for A C insteed of fridge. Then agian We done complain in Electrolux nobody is responding toward the Complain. Both Elextrolux and NEXT sell damage goods and not giving after sell service.

Electrolux Refrigerator — Replacement of Fridge due to faulty machine

Dear Sir,

I the undersigned have purchased one double door Electrolux Refrigerator Model ETB2400P4SBH, invoice No. RI (C):2644 on 5th June 2009 from M/S Raj Electonics, Bapujeenagar, SCR-26, Janpath, Bhubaneswar . But from the day of its installation, every time there were water droplets near the lower door but after connecting it to a stabilizer the problem was shorted out. But in the month of October’09 (last month) there was some unusual sound and the fridge suddenly stopped working, for which I gave a complaint, as a follow up the service person came, took the fridge to the workshop and returned it after two days i.e. 27th of Oct,09. Then on 15th November, again the fridge stopped working and as previous occasion I registered a complaint at Bapujee nagar and the service personnel visited and took the PCB & the sensor saying that it has to be replaced and the very next day he installed the PCB (old faulty one)day before yesterday i.e.21st Nov, 09. The recurring problem of cooling as well as sounds in the refrigeration has become a headache for me and since I am a working lady, it’s harassment for me to get proper service in time from the agency. Hence, I sincerely request the company to replace my faulty fridge with a new one and make me free from such type of harassment. As it is in the warranty period & the problem is not being solved hope there won’t be any trouble in changing the piece. Kindly make the necessary arrangements and give instruction to Raj Electronic for the same and oblige.

I too have faced similar problem, this is repeated problem. The referigerator is on but there is no cooling. I really feel that ELectrolux should have strong quality control as well as Quality Assurance practices and resolve existing customer complaints else the bad name will reflect surely in their balance sheet as we spread the news to others not to buy ELectrolux products.
I have purchased Electrolux Regrigertor in 21st March 2010 from your authorised Dealer MALAIKA in Virar (west). I started facing problems from 23rd March 2010 with the product as its started leaking water and the man doors ice box doors broken are not getting close properly. I have done sevral complains to your authorised dealer Malaika but no respone from there side. i am not setisfied with electrolux refrigetor. pls send company person and solveout my problem

Refrigerator — Warranty Voilation

I have purchased Double door ERP 245 FF 235 LTRS ELECTROLUX Refrigerator in 2006 in Palampur in District Kangara (H.P.), but now i transffered to Mandi last year, day before yesterday cooling has been down, so i contacted the refrigerator mechanic of whirlpool, he said that compressor is not working and it has to be changed and it cost us Rs 4000/-, since we have got warranty on Compressor for 5 years but since we didn't get bill from the reatailer from palampur, he is denying to replace the compressor on warranty but we have all the said numbers on refrigerator and compressors.
So can the company replace the compressor on warranty? and who is the Dealer of Electrolux in Mandi?
