Electrolux Make Model No.285 ERP Double Door

Dear Sir,

This is to draw your kind attention that I had purchased a Refrigerator of Electrolux make (Model No.285 ERP) on 8th April’06 from Great Eastern Appliances Pvt Ltd, 102, D.H. Road, Behala, Kolkata-700 034 and since then this machine has been giving trouble like, improper cooling, insulation problem, fan problem etc. and the servicing has been done by M/s. Millennium Service Centre (Authorized Service Centre of Electrolux Kelvinator), 17, Roy Bahadur Road, Kolkata-700 034.

Recently, the machine has been given to M/s. Millennium on 5th March’08 since the machine was not exhibiting proper cooling. Specially, the lower half was not at all functioning properly and as a result water was coming out from machine all the times. Since then, I have contacted so many times to your officials like Mr. Amlan Ghosh[protected], Mr. Mallick[protected] & Mr. Niraj[protected] and nobody has given satisfactory reply.

They have confessed that they cannot rectify the cooling arrangement from inside rather they proposed to install a condenser outside which is totally non-conventional and the said proposal was rejected by undersigned.

Meanwhile, I have been offered a proposal for replacement of ‘New Freeze’ by paying some extra money after deducting the depreciation amount (two years) from the purchase price of Rs.15, 000/- (April’06). I am not ready to pay the balance amount even as the machine is a defective one from the day. So, kindly intervene and give your valuable advice immediately to your Kolkata office. Moreover, I am in terrible situation as my daughter is appearing to ICSE Exam and I am passing on the Summer days without refrigerator.

Dear Sir, I want to draw your attention to an exemplary Kelivnator/Electrolux Refrigerator (Model No. K 104 2A "DM3 280" (if you require any other information, we can provide). It was purchased by my father (Mr. Muhammad Siddique) from Libya (Tripoli) in year 1979 when he was serving there. The speciality of this refrigerator is that it is working regularly for the last 30 years (non stop) and it has never been repaired except change of thermostat once. No gas charging or any other sort of work done during the last 30 years (it can be checked). Its compressor is still in good condition (same original compressor with original setting). Door seal is also original. It makes this refrigerator an exemplary item which needs to be advertised throughout the world. Despite, the following message, nothing has been done so far and my refrigerator continues to be in bad shape - (i) It's defrost system is not working as the defrost timer is required to be replaced and the concerned persons are just not bothered about the problems I am facing and (ii) Every now and then, water drips from the refrigerator because of faulty defrost system. I had purchased the refrigerator keeping the international image of the company in mind. But my worst nightmare have turned true as nobody appears to be bothered about my hardship. I now approach yourself to do something immediately in the matter and try to salvage some image of your company.

Dear Sir,

I had purchased Electrolux E445 Steel Refrigerator from Better Deals Meera Bagh, Outer Ring Road, New Delhi (since closed the showroom) vide retail invoice no. 1527 dated 30.04.2006. The fridge rendered good service, but it started giving troubles in May 2008. A complaint was lodged with the Company and certain parts were replaced including Defrost Timer and other parts at
a total cost of Rs. 3081/- vide cash memo no. 979 dated 4th May 2008 of VolcareEnterprises, L2/114, New Mahavir Nagar, Outer Ring Road, Vikas Puri, New Delhi.110018. The fridge again started giving troubles about defrosting and a complaint was lodged with Electrolux vide complaint no. 5A[protected]
dated 31.07.2008 at 3.30 P.M. Since then, I am persistently following up with Electrolux/Volcare, but the part has not been replaced even though the same part is within warranty. It may not be out of place to state that I had purchased the Electrolux Fridge keeping the reputation and benign name the Company enjoys in the white goods market. My earlier two fridges were of
Kelvinator and I did not face much trouble in having those fridges and keeping this in mind, I had gone for Electrolux Fridge at a cost of aRs. 23, 735/- on
30.04.2006. I am based in Delhi and your authorised service centre hardly couble of kms from my residence. Yet even after ten days, nothing has been done except assurances that it will be done tomorrow or the day after. I have approached you with the belief that you will look into the matter and take steps that the customers are dealt with promptly, which the essence of customer

WARNING: The kind of experience I have had, I would forewarn everybody that they should never purchase anything manufactured by Electrolux or marketed by Kelvinator because their after sales service is non-existant. I know I am wasting my time by writing this complaint on this board, but could not resist the temptation of giving vent to my pent up feelings.

Electrolux / Fridge — Poor customer care

My Electrolux Fridge model-ER47FF which i bought 2 years back suddenly stopped working last month.I called up there call centre and was given a complaint no. 5s[protected] .Since then it has been a month and i have been following up with there "engineers" who promise that they will sort out the problem.After running after them for four weeks and spending Rs 3000/- on replacing unnecessary parts my fridge is still not working.

The engineers have stopped taking our phone calls and call centre does not bother to ensure weather the complaint has been attended to.

Is this the way to treat customers?This kind of treatment totally destroys the credibility of electrolux company whose products i have used for last two decades.Is anybody listening

Electrolux - Class 1 Services — Please don't buy electrolux they are the worst service providers

I had bought an Electrolux front loading washing machine more than a year ago.
machine had problems of water leakage during october november 07.. after a good 4 months of calling and mailing a rep showed up during feb 08 changed the inner drun and gasket and charged a good Rs 3500/-.
The rep made a mistake by entering 2008 in the work order date column and entering 2007 in the cash bill...

now within one year of the repair the machine has started leaking... we are trying for over a month's time to call the no. that was given to us by the rep who came earlier... no reply... we got another no. from just dial and called them..no response again... now for over 3 weeks we are trying to call them they are passing the buck by saying if the machine is under 1 year warranty for the replaced part to contact the same service provider.
despite saying that we are unable to get through to them no. heed is paid to our request..

now we are still waiting for the service providers... My earnest request to each and every one is to never purchase this company products as there is absolutely no service... Please do let me know if I can go to the consumer court regarding this. I have all the bills and can provide my mobile bill to prove the no. of calls i have made to these guys... Please do provide some advice on how to take this further...

I had purchased Electrolux ER240MS Refrigerator from Kohli Digital Home, 13-14 Sanjay Gandhi Market, Jalandhar (Punjab) vide retail invoice no. 181 dated 01.08.2007. The fridge rendered good service, but it started giving troubles in few days. A complaint was lodged with the Company and mechanic visited twice but problem is still there. Unnecessary amount of water leaks daily out of compressor tray. Mechanics are unable to solve this problem. Please help us. Electrolux - Kelvinator - O Zone Fridge — Bottom portion not working only freezer side is working

Myself given complaint on 26.05.2008 and inturn they have sent a techenician on 28.05.2008 and checked and informed that timer to be replaced and he done the same and collected Rs.1450/-= vide their Job No:1218 dated 28.05.2008. He told that to switch on the fride next day only. When we switch on the fridge next day (30.5.2008)the same complaint was continuing and we informed once again to[protected], and they told that they will be sending the techenician again and given a complaint No: 3306, but so far no one has turned up even after several calls from my end. I dont know why so lethargic...Now it is 16.06.2008

I too have the same complaint as above. I have replaced the timer thrice already ( the fridge is also 3 years old ) Everytime I have spent Rs. 1250/-. They also asked me to change the stablizer for which I spent Rs. 2000/-. I would like to take this issue with the consumer court. Pls let me know how to approcah the right person. Also people with same problem can contact me.

Electrolux Kelvinator / Refrigerator / Washing Machine — both the devices are not working

I am sorry to be here for the third time . I had posted complaint last year and second in month of May but all in vain . Now this is the third time I have been doing so. Earlier it was the fridge now the washy – talky washing machine too stopped permanently . I have posted my complaint on this site as I have a thought that they will just help in matter as I have spent nearly 31000/- out of my hard earned money on these appliances and both of these are not working for the last 2 years after regular complaints and services. Now I promise myself that I will not sit ideally until company replaces both these appliances or refund back my money. I will surely post such type of mails on each site who posses to be customer friendly and helper for the customer. I appeal to everyone who is being deceived by the Electrolux company to do so what I am doing …..

Electrolux Em 17mg70 With Grill Bearing Model No. Ele 1770g And Set Serial No. 947602662 - 603002131 — Complaint against gross negligence of service

On or about 12.10.2006, my Company, Apeejay Surrendra Corporate Services Pvt. Ltd. 15, Park Street, Kolkata-700016, had purchased a Microwave Oven being ELECTROLUX EM 17MG70 with Grill bearing Model No. ELE 1770G and Set Serial no.[protected] at a price of Rs.3900.00 ( Rupees three thousand nine hundred) only, from your authorized dealer, Great Eastern Appliances Pvt. Ltd., 20, Old Court House Street, Kolkata-700001. The warranty coverage for the aforesaid appliance was for a period of 3(three) years from the date of our purchase.

On or about the second week of October, 2008, the appliance suddenly stopped working causing great inconvenience to our executives who used to have their food warmed during lunch hour. After repeated complaints lodged with the Electrolux service center, one technician by the name Zakir Hossain was sent to our office on 16.10.2008, to look into the matter. On investigation, we were informed that there was problem with the ‘Magnatron’ of the appliance and the same needs to be replaced and since the defect in the appliance arose during the warranty period, we were assured that the “Magnatron” would be replaced within a period of 7(seven) days.

However, ispite of repeated follow ups and/or requests made to both their Delhi office and service center, no steps have been taken by Electrolux, even after elapse of a period of 25 days, to either repair the appliance and/or replace the “Magnatron” till date. Both the service center and Electrolux's office personnel have only been making false promises and/or giving assurances to immediately repair the appliance but have failed and neglected to take any steps in this regard.

Request necessary steps from your end to stop such harassment to consumers.
