[Resolved]  Exide Inva Tubular Battery — battery back up reduced by 70%

Dear Shri Vikramanshu Thakur,
The battery back-up time depends on charging time and the load current. In places like Sitapur and Hardoi the power supply is available for 10 to 12 hours, which is not sufficient for full charge, with a branded Inverter. Branded Inverters like Luminous or Su-kam charge in steps, reducing charging current as battery gets charged. For Back-up time see the C20 rating on the Battery, in Ampre Hours. Divide this AH rating by 20 to get the current in Amp at which battery will give a backp of 20 Hrs. Suppose you get 7.5 Amp. If you double the current Drawn the backup will not get half, i.e. 10 hrs but may be 6 hrs. The relation is not linear but as load is incresed backup time reduces drastically.

sir maine ek tubular battary (gupta battary leedar road allahabad se khareeda tha aur wo battary 8 maheene me kharab ho gai.jisko maine gupta battary ajency me wapas kiye ak maheene ho gaya abhi tak muthe battary nahi mili.

i purchased exide invatubular in the year 2008 from exide dealer in darbhanga but last year in nov. it suddenly discharged and couldnot get charged.I complained about the problem but it couldnot be resolved kindly suggest what i should do.
