do we have any complain no where any authority can take any action, my wife got a similar call and was asked to give account no or come to Mumbai within 24 hrs and or but some dish TV coupans worth Rs 16k and so on. I also called on the same no and informed the guy on the line that I have also recieved the same call. I was also told that I have won 32 laks while my wife won 25 lakhs and same thing to give account no etc. the same file no was given which was given to my wife.
this is ruining air tel and dish tv image as well. some action must initiate other wise some people might come in their bluff.
Do we have any such no where we can complain.
At 5.27pm today (31st August) I saw 2miscalls from No.[protected]. As my mob. was in silent mode, I thought I couldn't pick up the call and imediately I called back to that number. I was first congratulated by the caller and was told that I've won 25Lakhs lottery in the lucky draw of Airtel. He also confirmed that I am speaking from Delhi. When I asked wherefrom he is calling, he said that he is calling from Mumbai office and asked me to call immediately at the number [protected] Mr. Vijay kumar supervisor for further details. However I didn't call further.
I agree with the query/comments raised above as to how only Airtel numbers are being trapped by these callers. Can't these numbers be barred from calling.
Fake calls for 25 lakhs lottery.
Fake call from pakistan at least country code say so (+92)
I got 3 missed call from number [protected] on 2.09.2010 around 11.20.14 am.when i dialled the number he told me that that he is calling from Mumbai & i won a lottery of 25 lacs.i didnt entertain that call & disconnected it.Later i went through website and got to know that it is from Pakistan-Nowshera.I contacted airtel customer care but they told that they have no such provision to track that fake call details or to block such kind of calls. You never know if Airtel is taking it seriously or not but this can even led to some bigger mishap as well.

I stay in Gurgaon and have a airtel service. Today I also got a fake call from +[protected]. And obviously by code the number is dialled from Pakistan. Since my husband had heard about this fake call, I did not pickup the phone and after reading all these postings I feel am saved. This could have been a disaster.
How come our indentification is disclosed.
I see these postings are right from beginning of the year and we still continue to receive these fake calls. Is anything been done about this?
I think Airtel or govt should find out and get this to a STOP before people become victims. Maybe some have already become victims who knows.

On 04th Sept, 2010 my parents staying in Faridabad received this fake call announcing a cash prize of 25 lacs... My parents immediately called me (I stay in Pune) to get leads to any kind of such calls... I checked on internet and bang here I got ditto issues others also have faced... We got saved from getting duped, maybe worse could have happened as these calls are from Pakistan... Just wondering about the innocent people who stay in rural areas and do not have much of accessibility to information and awareness...
I am quite amused that how our personal numbers have reached there, is there anyone in Airtel who is selling customer information to Pakistan agencies, this is a serious issue and government should take stringent action to nail this down...
we have already suffered a lot from our neighboring nation, don't understand what they want eventually, now they are trying to dupe our people thru such fake calls, shame on those who are degrading their country's name
I got a missed call from number [protected]

I registered in DO NOT DISTURB service in DECEMBER 2007, and made about 100 calls to AIRTEL customer care. But still this problem has not been resolved at all. Please do help me. My airtel no is[protected].
I also received Fake call from pakistan at least country code say so (+92) I got missed call from number [protected] on 21st September 2010 at 15:35 PM. when i dialled the number he told me that that i won a lottery of 25 lacs, I told him that if he will give me calls for such thing then I will make police complain and hung up
Same the case with my father, he got a missed call and while calling the number back, starting with +92, the person told him for 10 laks cash prize and provided other number to submit the details...but after disconnecting the call, he tried calling twice...and now my the airtell outgoing is not working...

This must be taken seriously by airtell..how can they leak the numbers like this...

Om
I too recieved the call from the [protected].

It seems like yesterday I recharged my Dish TV account with my mobile by sending the SMS and it seems that the Dish TV people are providing these numbers as I am the customer of the Airtel since very long but didnt recieved such kind of call but yesterday first time i recharged my Dish TV account by sendin the SMS via my mobile number and today I got this call any how i didnt attend the call. but tried to call on the given number as part on my business as I thought its a call from our international client ..but when i checked the net for the given number then i came this particular forum
Abe kya hai ye ? I also got many messages and phone calls from Mobile No.[protected] and the person in turn wants know my name. Bloody fool. I think these type of persons are mad or some sort of sadists who take enjoyment when someone is in trouble. I pity on authorities who do not have any means of check on these fake calls.

Today I also got a missed call from [protected]. I've not responded as i know that something fishy is behind these calls. Airtel or Gov shoud take some action against the activity. I am afraid It can cause serious problems to any individuals...
Even i got a miss call from [protected] and asked me to contact Mr. Vjay kumar and i have won 25 lakh rupees worth prize which will be delivered to my address. When i spoke to him on [protected] he mentioned me the same saying i won the lottry and have to pay Rs 12500 as income tax it can be in the form of net banking or dish tv vouchers. The moment he told me this i had a doubt and immedietly started copnversing with him. He asked me to switch of my mobile for 1hrs and they will be making the papar work.

I dont know i should disclose my name but my mobile number is [protected].
One more complaint in the row, just got a missed call from [protected], when i called back this person on the other end talking in urdu accent tells me that i have won 10 lac as prize. realizing immediately that it was a false call i disconnected but i wonder how these people are able to access our id's.

Me too received a missed call from [protected] on 25 Oct 2010. Airtel must take some action against such type of activities. How people making such calls are able to contact anyone without any information?
