Hi,

I have a medical insurance cover from FHPL (fhpl.net) through my company. My wife went under surgery in July and was discharged from the hospital on 16th of July. I submitted all the documents on 11th august. As per the company rules, all claims have to be submitted within one month of discharge. Despite doing so my claim was rejected and the reason given was "Delay Submission". After lots of follow up they said that its under processing.

Now they are not responding to my calls and saying that i shall contact my HR.

Kindly do the needful urgently as this is really getting weird.

I fail to tell u guys how to work.. i took a policy of HDFC ERGO its been nearly months now when the policy was sold to me was given assurances that everthings covered and blah blah sales gimmick my wife has been admitted due to severe sinus issues where in the doctor asked us to get her admitted asap. we got her admitted at SHahyadri hospital BIBEWADI PUNE.. AND FILED FOR CASH LESS WE GOT A DENIAL STATING THE AILMENT NOT COVERED UNDER TWO YEARS Y WASNT A MEDICAL DONE EARLIER AND Y WASNT ALL TIS CRAP INFORMED EARLIER AINT HAPPY WITH WATS GOING ON NOW I HAVE TO BORROW MONEY FROM PEOPLE TO GET HER DISCHARGED..SUCH AN EMBARASSEMENT TO FACE THAT WE CANT HANDLE OUR MEDICAL EXPENSES.. I AM APPALLED AT THE BEHAVIOUR AND TO TOP IT ALL CANT CONTACT ANY OF YOUR OFFICES AS THE NUMBERS LISTED ARENT FUNCTIONING.. tak hopitalazd rha aur main apne total document submit kiye hain. bt mera clain clear nhi kiya gya hai. kya main poochh sakta hun ke aap log policy dene time saare promise karte hn bt claim k time peechhe hat jaate hn. aap log aisa kyun karte hn?? main ek middle class family se belong
karta hun aur hospital ka bill pay karke aaya hun. aur mujhe claim k naam pr bewkuf banaya ja rha h.. agar aap kuch nhi karenge to mujhe majburan koi action lena padega..

I have a medical insurance cover from FHPL (fhpl.net) through my company. My wife went under surgery in 09 th September 2014 and was discharged from the hospital on 12th of September. I submitted all the documents on 28th September . As per the company rules, all claims have to be submitted within 20 days of discharge. After lots of follow up they said that its under processing.

Now they are not responding to my calls and saying that i shall contact my HR.

Kindly do the needful urgently as this is really getting weird.

Dear Concern,


I am an HDFC BANK employee, I have an health insurance with fhpl I have got admitted in FORTIS HOSPITAL NOIDA on 21/08/2014 as per doctor's advice as I was spitting blood from my mouth (as per doctor's I was suffering from hymoptysis), now your company is rejecting the claim as there was no need of hospitalization.


I followed the fortis doctor's instruction if your company has any issue than you need to resolve it from fortis hospital team
as I was the patient and I have to follow the doctor's instruction as I am not the doctor and I don't understand what kind of treatment or medicine I require, that's why the doctor's are .


And there was a team of doctors who was taking care of me .So it means you are questioning the doctor's knowledge.


I am in financial hardship and 72000 rs is a big amount for me I am going through a mental stress and it is affecting my health
as per me I was sure that I have an insurance policy and your company will take care of it


I look forward to hearing from you and to a resolution of this problem, Else I have to go to IRDA and consumer forum for the same .

I have a corporate health policy covered by employer where FHPL is a TPA. My wife was in her 35th week of pregnancy and got sudden labour pains. After waiting for 3 hours observation at home and increased pains, we have admitted her at hospital. Doctors admitted her into ICU and provided initial medication to control pains. Doctors advised us that in case of enhanced pains, she would under go C section and asked us to be prepared. Since, there was a control of pains, doctors kept her under observation and later the pains are controlled. She was hospitalized for almost 36+ hours. I have submitted claim with FHPL and the claim was rejected due to “Treatment not in line”. When I raised a complaint with their call center, their relationship Manager called me. He says that the claim is not payable as there was any delivery not performed and since such pains can be controlled through home remedies, admission in hospital was not required.
I was surprised that whether I was interacting with an insurance organization representative or unprofessional brokers who take premium from customer and reject claims. There is no meaning to have any insurance relationship with FHPL as they give vague reasons for claim rejection.
