Hi,
I came to know about this only when I received my Credit card. This is absurd on GARP's part. If we want to renew membership we would do it on our own. Why should GARP deduct it automatically. I stay in a remote location with no access to mails for weeks.

I have the same problem, on Aug 30, 2010 i got a mail saying "thanks for renewing" your membership, while i am dumbfounded at this message, the shock comes the next day, when i see that my credit card has been debited $150. The least they should do is to ask us if we want to renew the membership and not do it on our own.
