Subject : Complaint : Order No.1093
I would like to draw your attention to fact that I have placed an order for a pair of Progressive Lenses with all improved features with M/s. RK Mandal, a reputed opticians at Barabazar, G. T. Road, Chandernagore, Hooghly, West Bengal, PIN-712136 sometime in late April this year.
The said opticians got it done from M/s. GKB Hi-Tech Lenses, 294, B. B. Ganguly Street (2nd floor), Kolkata and supplied accordingly.
After use of four months the lenses had become scratchy and complete useless.
I drew attention to the fact to M/s. RK Mandal immediately to address the problem and he assured me for immediate replacement.
But it is to my dismay M/s. GKB Hi-Tech Lenses (Kolkata Chapter) has simply replaced the coating with assurance of complete replacement if anything happen in near further.
Only two months after the same problem reappeared and I got in touch with my local optician accordingly.
This time M/s. GKB Hi-Tech Lenses (Kolkata Chapter) most reluctantly did the same repair job with zero perfection.
I refused to take back the defective lenses but some Mr. Pritam of GKB Hi-Tech Lenses (Kolkata Chapter) declined to replace the lenses as has been promised.
However, M/s. RK Mandal, the local optician has replaced me with a pair of RODENSTOCK lenses with AUTHENTICITY CARD with NO FURTHER COST to maintain their goodwill in the market.
A sense of good feeling developed in me with full of trust over my local optician.
I would like to invite attention to the competent authority of M/s. GKB Hi-Tech Lenses Pvt. Ltd. to address the problem if you want to keep your goodwill in tact in the market.
