[Resolved] Goibibo.com — Refund of money on cancelled air ticket | |||
Hi , I had purchased return tickets from Goibibo.com on Air India for travel to Singapore on 19th January 2013 and return on 22nd January 2013 (for around Rs 19,000). The fare shown on their website said it was refundable. On around 14th January, I called their website to cancel the ticket (my travel plans had got cancelled). The executive on the phone said that the cancellation charges (all inclusive) would be around[protected] rupees . We told them to go ahead and cancel the ticket and refund the balance. They took the request . After that nothing happened for a few days. We got a mail from them on 28th January saying the ticket status is "refunded" . However , we did not get our money. After that we called their helpline . We were told that the cancellation amount may be somewhat higher than they had earlier estimated but we would get the balance refund in 7-8 days . However, we still did not get the refund . We have followed up with their customer care some 6-7 times to no avail . Twice they have sent e-mails also saying the refund is being processed and will credited in a few days. The last such mail came on 25th February (am attaching a screenshot herewith).
