Hi , I have received a SMS from Guinness Intl Mobile Promo stating that I have won 250,000 Pounds in their 2010 scheme with a winning no # 4 and to claim the prize contact Dr Eric via E Mail : [protected]@live.com . However on checking the Indian consumer complaint forum site I have seen that several other people have also received the same SMS with the same winning amount in 2010 with same winning no # 4 and also asked to contact Dr Eric via E Mail .I would hence like to register a complaint as I am very doubtful about the authenticity of this scheme. Kindly inform me via return mail about the authenticity and if so which Guinness authority must I contact to be sure of the said scheme.

First What I did, I made a scam investigation about tht E Mail ID & I got it in this complaint forum.
Thnks guyz for Sharing your comments... Otherwise I would hav been bankrupted (this SMS ka chakkar mein).

I have also received a SMS from Guinness Intl Mobile Promo stating that I have won 250, 000 Pounds in their 2010 scheme with a winning no # 4 and to claim the prize contact Dr ABRAHAM via

I also got the same SMS where as the contact person name is different Dr.ABRAHAM. But the prize money and email address are the same.

DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE SMS or MAILS.

Earlier once I had received an email like this and replied to that to check.
1st I got a reply to the mail by congratulating me and gave some confidence.
Then again I got another email asking my permanent address and passport details. I replied back with fake address and passport number and correct phone number.
Again they said you need to come to England to collect the prize money or we will send the money by DD and asked for my option.
Upon my reply to send the money through DD, they said, for the DD processing we have to pay tax the government and the tax amount is 800 Euro's and gave me bank account to remitt the same. I stopped replying them.
After 15 days I got a call from UK and the person was shouting on me saying you initiated the process and now you do not reply or put any interest and send the money immediately. I just disconnected the phone from service provider.

All I wanted to know was how it happens. Its really funny to fool a person.


Please please please do not reply to any such SMS or emails.
