[Resolved]  HDFC Bank Credit Card Division — Harassment by HDFC Customer care executive

Hello Sir/Madam,

This is with regard to my credit card # [protected]. I have been holding this card for more than 3 years. The repayment towards my card has been very prompt since then; however, due to some medical expenses that I had to incur of the last 2 months January and February 2009, I failed to make the payment on time. I even called HDFC customer care to explain this and the person on the other end acknowledged the same and confirmed that I could make the lump payment for two months by End of March. Today, I received a call from HDFC Customer care again (Deepa) who was utmost rude on call and demanded the payment today itself (06 Mar 2009). I also told her that I would not be able to make the payment today and shall arrange the payment by tomorrow and walk-in-to the branch and make the cash payment of the said amount (Rs.2000). She did not listen and was very harsh to me. I also told her that I would be complaining to RBI if she continues to talk this way and she was least bothered about it. She said " I don't care, you could complain to anyone you wish to" (these were the exact words used by her). I'm totally taken aback by the way these people from the bank treat their customers. I would sincerely appeal to whomsoever to look into this as I'm a BP Patient and such calls really disturb my mental stability. I would not hesitate to blame the bank for any mishap that I face due to rising level in my pressure.

There have been couple of other people too to add to the list. One of them is Anil Anandan from Bangalore branch of HDFC.

Please do something as I strongly feel that this is affecting my mental health. I wish to re-iterate here that most of the call center people from HDFC (collections) are not maintaining the standards when it comes to customer service.

HDFC Credit Card — Harassment by Customer care even though I don't have a credit card

Hi,

This is regarding the harassment by HDFC credit card customer care. I don't have any and never had any credit card from HDFC bank. They call my airtel number and ask for some person by name "SHRIKANT NAGARAJ" and pester me to make payments of the credit card. I have told them that this number belongs to me since Nov-2008. Probably somebody was holding this number before that for which I'm not responsible. Initiatally they were polite, now they have started using foul language. Its been a mental harassment for me and my wife since then. I also called HDFC credit card customer care and told them to
lodge my grievance and not to call again and also ascertain to whom the particular number belongs to.

But my requests have gone in vain.

I kindly request you to suggest me how to go about solving this problem.

HDFC Credit Card — Been cheated by their customer care executive

I had a Hdfc credit card number [protected] I asked the bank for settlement firstly they asked to pay 28k and said the card would be settled , I made the payment but they didn't close the card and let the interest build on my card and for 2 months no one contacted me neither provide any seetlement letter as said at time of payment it will be coming after a week as it's to come from their Chennai headoffice. After 2 months their field executive came early morning at 7 to my place saying sir their is still a due amount of 250 thats why your seetlement letter is pending and I believed him and made the payment , again they didnt close the card and said interest kept on building on my card. After 1 month of time i made a complaint and they said that card is still active and minimum of 2k has to be paid to get it seetled. I failed to understand but didnt want any hit on my creditabilty i paid taht and the they gave me a seetlement letter but also updated my name in Cibl as DEFAULTER. I BEEN CHEATED BY HDFC BANK AS WHEN I ASKED FOR SEETLEMENT TOTAL OUTSTANDING ON MY CARD WAS 32K BUT BECAUSE OF THEIR WRONG COMMITMENTS NOW THEY ARE ASKING FOR AROUND 8K TO GIVE ME NOC AND THEN THEY WILL GET MY NAME REMOVED FROM CIBL. I BEEN cheated by their customer care executies , field executive and the mangers who said the card will be closed in first go. AND WHY I SHOULD BE SUFERING BECAUSE OF HDFC MISTAKES . I NEED JUSTICE AND SOME LOGICAL REASON FOR WHY ALL THIS HAPPENEED

I have platinum credit card of hdfc and i had a wrong transaction of 17000 from some kumar beads and gems . i want to ask what to do about this
HDFC bank Credit card recovery department is most notorious in the country.

That is the reason they can show very low Non Performing Assets because they never write off any of the settlements done with the customers. They did the same with me for one year. I took the matter with ombudsman, using all the emails that i had sent for one year, the settlement letter scanned copy and the proof of payment that i had done. Now i have received the zero balance confirmation and write off in cibil.

They try to get you into accepting expired settlement letter after which you have no rights. Make sure you make the payment within the written time frame of the settlement letter at all cost


Stay away from HDFC bank for all reasons.

I am customer of your esteemed bank for the last about 4 years.

Due to unavoidable circumstances (bank holidays) and being on outstation for few days, there was a delay of just 4 days due to which a huge amount is debited towards finance charges etc.

HDFC — Customer Care Harressment

I am continuously getting calls from HDFC bank on my mobile and land line for insurance. I don't even hold an account with HDFC and i have requested several times not to call me again and again but i still receive minimum 4 calls per day.

• This is Manish Kumar Joshi, HDFC bank card user . I have been using my card since long time as well as using banking, insurance, loan and card services from HDFC.
• I have raised a grievance on 9th Nov-2012 with reference number [protected] and registered the complaint that some un-necessary transaction had happened from my bank card which I never did.
• I was travelling on 9th and at mid night I received a SMS that payment of Rs.500 was made by me to “CPDNETHELP.COM “ which I never did same I informed on call.
• I changed my online transaction password on 9th itself and this is completely used my me only.
• I received my statement and sent a dispute form at your Chennai address but till date no revert received . On a good faith I made the payment to avoid the LPC and other charges . Few minutes back I have again received the SMS that amount of Rs.660 has been deducted to same merchant on 6th dec 12 at 4:52 PM.
• I called at call center and asked to block my card which they did and they informed me that the previous all transactions are done my me hence I am liable to pay.
• I have checked in website and found that this fraud is being done by HDFC and CUPBILL info and cheating lots of customers.
• I again claim that the following transactions not done by me and not at all going to make payment .i am holding future payments till I get the resolution . Even after my complaints earlier the unnecessary transactions done from my card by HDFC bank.
• I request you to give me the proof that these transaction done by me, if the receipts signed by me or the products purchased by me .
• This is my last communication to HDFC, Now I will file a complaint at consumer court and to RBI.

Greetings for the day,

This is draw your kind attention as I am one of the user of HDFC Credit card. My limitations have been crossed and due to some personal reasons I was not able to pay the nominal amount for 3 months so you all people hand over the case to third party collection and they asked to pay so form the last three months I am paying to them the amount.

For full and final they advised me for final settlement wherein they told me that after final settlement there would be EMI option to pay the total amount to bank and after than even my name would be in CIVIL where I will not be eligible for any kind of loan in future.

I would be very thankful to you all if you will advise him any other alternate way to pay the amount in EMI option. To pay the total amount of my credit card I want that it should be converted into EMI option and for that if there are any processing fees I am ready to pay that. If this is possible kindly tell me otherwise I have the last option to go for the full and final settlement and give my name in CIVIL which I don’t want and of there is no option is there than I will go for that.

This is with respect to my Platinum Plus Credit Card No. [protected] of your Bank.

I am writing this email with a lot of pain and anguish on being given a very callous treatment by your Customer Care executive, Ms. Nancy, this morning. Furthermore, I am appalled to learn that my request for increase in Credit Limit has been turned down on the basis of the “supporting documents that I have furnished”.

Let me tell you, I have furnished my last three months’ salary slips, which are as below :

March ’13 - Net Salary after all deductions => Rs.100, 185/-
April ’13 - Net Salary after all deductions => Rs.105, 246/-
May ’13 - Net Salary after all deductions => Rs.117, 195/-

My existing Credit Limit on my card is just Rs.1, 20, 000/-.

My past records will show that I am spending in the range of Rs.40, 000/- ~ 50, 000/- each month through my HDFC Credit Card.

I do have the options for other Credit Cards from other Banks too, but personally wanted to stick to one single Card for all my personal expenses; for my Official Expenses, I use the CITI Bank Card.

On probing with your executive, I was told that the request for Credit Limit enhancement has been declined as there are two payment defaults in my account, one was on December 2012 and the other in March 2013. On both these months, I was travelling and out of India at the time of payment due, and hence the delay. Please check my expenses and payment records and let me know if I qualify to be one of your high-spending customers or not ?

Since I have plans to travel abroad for a holiday, I had requested for Credit Limit enhancement. But, if your Bank feels that I am not a worthy customer, then please let me know. I will move over some other options. I am appalled at the way one of your very old and loyal customer is treated.

Hdfc Bank — imps timeout

Today I have made imps of rs 130000/- but still the amount is not credited to the benificery but amount from my account has been transfered no response from bank and helpline is always busy, pls help to solve this issue
