[Resolved] Healthkart — Damaged and expired product | |||
1. Never ever felt the need to write a consumer complaint till now in my 7 years of online buying experience. I had ordered Optimum Nutrition Gold standard whey protein + Optimum Nutrition Micro Creatine from healthkart 3 weeks back. The shipments were delivered to me after 4 days back, meanwhile I tried to get in touch with the customer care to check status of the shipment but could NEVER get through to them. Supposedly, they are always busy. 2. Now coming to the contents, the creatine came in a bottle which was damaged and leaking ( ! ) and the Whey protein was 2 weeks past expiry date ( Double whammy !! ). I can understand if there is a bit of slip up if the contents are non-edible ( like size mismatching, color mismatch etc when you are purchasing apparels ) but how can a professional establishment not see basic things like container sanity and expiry date for consumable food items ? These people are playing with lives of people like us if they are being so callous, isn't it ? 3. Assuming that this is a one off case, I tried to get in touch with the customer care over phone ( supposedly they have 24x7 call center ) and frankly I was never able to get in touch with anyone in last 4 days, I must have tried at least 30 times. Finally, I got hold of one customer care guy on chat and he told me to email me to [protected]@healthkart.com and completely ignored my queries, why the heck they are pretending online support on chat then ? 4. I emailed to them with pictures of both the bottles on the same day i.e. 4 days back but still there is no response. I was at the end of my tether hence decided to see if there are any consumer complaints against these guys and landed here. ALAS, I should have come here first before sinking in more than 7K of my money. I am planning to give them 1 week more to see if there is any progress on this otherwise I will have to resort to a court case. I am sure I have a pretty strong case here.
