[Resolved]  Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme — Engine turning off in rain

Hey guys, please suggest someone, i have bought this bike in nov.2012 and i'm also facing the same problem.
Every time when i visited to showroom for service i have asked them about the issue but they are not able to rectify the issue.
This is very bad thing about this bike. i really get frustrated with this issue.no one have any solution for this.

Engine turning off in rain
Hi,

I have a CBZ xtreme of 2008 model.Every time when i go out for a drive in rain, engine automatically turns off even though it is a small rain. I have to try hard to start it again. Though i start it again turns off after a short distance.
Can any one please suggest a solution for this

I am also getting the same problem on my CBZ Xtreme that i bought in Apr. 2010. In a rain though it is not that heavy, the engine turns of and it doesnt get start quickly. after some distance it turns off again.. Its really frustrating to drive...

I have went to mechanic and he told me that there is a problwm with CDIs in a bike, which a responsible to generate the current to start the engine. While in a rain it automatically loses the current...

Do any one have the solution for this problem?

Hi,

Everytime i wash the bike, water somehow gets into the tank n bike fails to start. Usually i dont use water-jet to wash it, i just wash it with a normal pipe. Last time i'd to drain all the fuel in the tank n wash it with a petrol. And again bike runs for a km then again it stops and it never. I'm fed up with this...

Plz give me a solution 4 this problem

I was facing same issue since long and after checking everything with mechanic there was no solution. Sudden I thought to check fuel tank, in rain, water goes inside and this create issue.

Since then I am taking care of this and never faced this issue.

Solution: Cover your fuel tank in rain, so that water do not leaked inside.
If bike is not starting in rain, no need to start it. Instead of wasting time & energy, park aside and use public transport. (BIG THANKS TO COMPANY) :(

waste of money in buying ths bike..same problem with my cbz 2009 model...even showroom service peoples dnt knw how to solve ths..fed up..why ths hero company nt taking any action against ths bcoz most peoples hav ths prblm.

Even i faced the similar comliant which all o[censored] are facing. the solution is very simple.When u put center stand o[censored]r bike u can see 2 rubber pipes popping out towards the rear wheel. in actual the length provided is more than the required and that is the reason why the bike stops when it rains., the water enters through the pipe from back wheel and blocks the air flow.
the solution is cut both of the wires to some extent about 15 cms. this will not affect mileage or performance of the bike.
I[censored] still feel the problem is not resolved cut the pipes for more 5 cms and not more than that.

Guys, Am the user of Xtreme(2014) model! Since I had suffered with related issue from my new machine which bought on June'15 @ pondicherry.

Problem:
My problem was, whenever i rode my bike on rain (or) wet surface it stops immediately after a while. For this problem i had given my bike to various hero service centers for several times (probably 7 to 8 times!) @chennai.

They used to say reasons which are not related to that issue like: (but i serioulsy believed them everytime)
1. side stand sensors issue,
2. key ignition issue,
3. under tank coil issues,
4. routing issue,
5. etc ...
they simply hand over the bike by saying that "it got fixed"!!!
Also one them added that "it was a common issues usually comes for Xtreme, Karizma during rainy seaons", simply i got stunned after hearing those words.!


Solution (which suits me):
The air flow tube connected with carburetor seems to be bent & twisted (the tube, which goes to under seat), it really lacks of air flow whenever it rains, finally this head aching issue comes to an end with the help of a super mechanic from my home town!!!
Simply hats off to him :D

Engine problem

I have purchase bike in 2011 while in running bike automatically stopped i visit hero show room and they fix the problem with changing of valves after 100 kms again i get same problem i have worried about it totally i rode just 19000 only.

i have the same issue with my bike purchase in year 2014 hero xtreme as it rain the bike stops at some distance dnt knw how to solve this issue major happens in rainy season
