[Resolved]  Hindustan Times — NON DELIVERY OF NEWSPAPER

Address:Amritsar, Punjab

I had applied for Hindustan Times newspaper for a period of 1 year in October, 2012 by my local vendor Partap Phone No.[protected], working for HT, Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar after a payment of Rs. 500. I asked for a receipt which he declined saying that he is not carrying the receipt book. I repeatedly called him, reminding to give it, but he turned a deaf ear.
Then he told me that there is no receipt with me, but you will get newspaper for 1 year. Few days later i got a call from HT Office, Chandigarh saying that you have subscribed the HT for 7 months and so with A make up Kit ( as per told to them by my vendor Pratap). I declined that and told that i need newspaper for full 1 year with no other scheme, which they accepted.
Now 5 months later i have stopped receiving my newspaper and on calling the vendor Pratap, he is misbehaving, under influence of alcohol he is making lewd remarks with obscene language. And he is refusing on the face to give me newspaper.

The newspaper is a national daily and such level of discrepancy is not acceptable neither is the language used by them, which is very very objectionable.
I request a sincere effort by your team to look into this piece of non sense..

Hindustan Times — Reg: 2 year Subscription period

Dear Sir, I have paid Rs. 195 for newspaper subscription for 2 years by cheque No. 427141 on 12.09.2007 and they issued me a coupon for 1 year upto 31.08.2008 and said that next year they will sent me another 1 year coupons. HT Daily — Non delivery of Hindustan Times

I, Smt. Mayadath V.P. residing at 36, Gandaki, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai would like to bring to your kind notice that I have given a cheque of Rs.195/- drawn on SBI, BARC Branch, Cheque No.193399 to the vendor Shri Chandran on 6th December 2007, was debited by SBI on 12/04/2008. The amount of Rs. 195/- was paid to him under the understanding that he will deliver the papers for two years. Shri Chandran has abruptly stopped delivering the HT since last week of March 2009 saying that the company has stopped delivering paper to him. We fail to understand as to why consumers are not being issued the coupons where as other papers like DNA and Times of India issue the coupons for 12 months directly to the customers for 1 year subscription. I regret to note that an esteemed news paper like HT which has a large following can stoop so low there by causing substantial embarassement to me and my family who were under the impression that we will not be ditched. I would like to add that HT officials can come to know as to which scheme I had subscribed from their records after ascertaining the facts and also the date on which the money/cheque has been deducted from my account.
Anticipating an early reply/action from your end,
Yours faithfully,
Mayadath V.P.
V.I. Sreeramakrishnan residing at C-12, SAHYADRI, Anushaktinagar, Trombay, Mumbai would like to bring to your kind notice that I have given a cheque of Rs.195/- drawn on SBI, BARC Branch, Cheque No.974118 dated[protected] to the vendor Shri Chandran on 6th December 2007, was debited by Indian Overseas Bank on[protected].I do not remember the name of the scheme as the vendor keeps asking the scheme under which the customers were promised readership for two years. This fact can be verified by Hindustan Times from its records or from the amount of cheque and cleared date itself. The amount of Rs. 195/- was paid to him under the understanding that he will deliver the papers for two years. Shri Chandran has abruptly stopped delivering the HT since last week of March 2009 saying that the company has stopped delivering paper to him. Reputed papers like DNA and Times of India issue the coupons for 12 months directly to the customers for 1 year subscription, but I do not understand why Hindustan Times does not follow the same principle, there by causing substantial embarassement to me and my family who were under the impression that we will issued papers for the full period of two years. I am of the view that companies should handover the reign to the vendors but as Mahatma Gandhi had said the "CUSTOMER IS THE KING" is a forgotten idom in the Indian History. Once the coupon is handed over to the vendor, the customer is totally at the mercy of the vendor and we have to face his wrath ie. he may suddenly stop its supply in case their is a quarrel with the customer or he may say that the company does not supply and may give the paper to someone else and earn from it. I sincerely hope that Your company may reply to all the mail it receives and expect a call on My phone no. is [protected] or send an email which is [protected]@rediffmail.com.
Anticipating an early reply/action from your end,
Yours faithfully,

Hindustan Times Newspaper — Non delivery of the newspaper

I have paid Rs.195 to Mahesh, executive code K6X44 as subscription for Hindustan Times. This was paid to him (form no. 280112 ) on 23 Jan 2008 for the period of 2 years. My vendor in Vile Parle is L.V.Yadav Tel. no. 26112423. Since 2 weeks I do not get the delivery of Hindustan Times. On contacting Yadav I was told that he is out of my subscripion coupons. On contacting Mahesh I was told to call Mr. Sandesh. He told me that since his office is relocated to Mahim it will take a few days to get the coupons.

I dont understand that in spite of paying for subscripion in advance why customers have to go through the nonsence of coupons. Is there not a more sensible and easy solution to working of such a huge company ??? In this modern age of computers one wonders why are we still depending on coupons and the hastle suffered by the public ?
I have not received my second year coupen. My ID no NVEN96557 scheme:[protected]@195 kindly reply

Hindustan Times. — No response from newspaper distribution team

I had given cheque of Rs. 298/- for the subscription of Mint, the same was provided to the HT official, He had not yet deposited it in HT office and he is not picking the call, some how endless tries he picked the call and asked to sms the address. Even after sending the SMS there is no response from him or HT. After calling the HT at 67764242 they provided number, on calling that number the person given another number, on calling that new number the phone is not picked for long time. Again called but no luck.

It was something cruel joke done by such Hindustan Times. If they are not suppose to provide service why they floated such schemes.

And after accepting the cheques why they are not tracking their peoples.

This thing is really looking bizzare.

Hope HT will read this and solve my problem.
