Yes I am in full agreament with the after sale service what
to talk of Delhi I purchased a Hitachi refrigerator year and a half back one of the smallest models for my farm in District Hoshiarpur Punjab.Inspite of repeated complaints one man did turn up removed the defective part returned after a couple of months that too after repeated reminders returned the defective part that it was out of stock. Ever since it is lying in the house to use as a shoe Almirah. As the part in question is a circuit plate with a reference no written on it RFA 4063. What is your advise should we sell it as junk or you will look into it. Kindly reply as I have no time to take on the legal course.

Refrigerator — Not attended by the staff after repeated call

My refrigerator vide product code numbers : RT23M/RT23HVMSI/XTL, has not been working from 27th of September 2008 and I register the complaint on Monday, i.e.29th Sept 2008 and the Customer Care Executive told me that some body will definitely attend before 8.00pm on the same day. Complaint Number : [protected]/29:09:08. When I called up again on the same number 30308282, the executive told me that by mistake it was given to the wrong service center and somebody will definitely attend on 30th on or before 12 noon. When again I called up at 2pm and the the Team leader told me that some body will attend by 6 pm positively. And they did a three way conferencing with the concerned Service Centre and the guy there told me that he got the complaint from them at 1.48 on 29th and he's assigned it to his Engineer and will be attended by 6 pm. Nobody came. So I tried to register the complaint online thru the Samsung Site http://www.samsung.com/in/. It took hell lot of time for filling up a single data and after filling up when I submit it, it again asked me to enter the details again. I'm fade up of the support and thinkong that I did the biggest mistake of my life by choosing Samsung as my home parter for all the consumer gadgets as I've Refrigerator, Washing Maching, DVD Player, LCD TV etc. Now, as a working couple with a small kid, I really face the tremendous problem at the personal front. I've taken leave for both the days (29th & 30th) so that the Engineer should not return. But to my surprise nobody turned up & I lost my two days Salary too. I would expect the board to take this issue seriously and reciprocate it to the concerned Senior Executive of the Company to take the action. Or else I'll be forced to file a consumer case against Samsung India.

2. We had to make several phone calls and repeatedly chase your after sales service centre to follow up on our complaint and it was only on 17th Oct'2008 that a technician, Mr. M.B Joshi from your authorised service centre M/s Dizitek Services came and replaced some faulty parts and charged a huge amount of Rs.6857/- . The Refrigerator worked temporarlily for a couple of days and failed again. We managed to get Mr. Joshi to come again and he again replaced the same PCB again but without any additional charges this time. The refrigerator worked for a couple of days and failed again. We have tried calling him again a few times now but he is yet to make a visit.

3. We are thoroughly disappointed by:-

a) The breakdown of the refigerator within such a short period of time after the purchase

b) Refusal by your company to repair this free cost o[censored]nder warranty and instead put the blame on lack of a voltage stabiliser being installed by us to safeguard the refrigerator;

c) Extremely poor response from your after sales & service organisation. Your website does not carry contact name or address or phone number of people who are accountable towards after sales & service and names of senior management to whom the issue should be escalated in case of no response. Also no one ever picks up the phone at[protected] call centre numbers you have provided.

We have been regularly updating your Mr. Ajay Sethi about this matter as well. But would appreciate if someone senior in the organisation can look into the matter please and save us from further harassment and stress.

I am facing the same problem with my Hitachi refigerator model RS37NVND purchased in Mumbai in October 2006. Exactly the same problem, compressor has been replaced thrice and so has gas filling been done 3 times. the refrigerator has made atleast 5-6 trips to workshop for repair, it has been replaced and even the replacement has the same problem. After sales service staff attitude is very poor and no response from senior management. I am shortly going to file a complaint at consumer complaints. I fully agree that nobody should buy this fridge in India and it is actually not meant for the Indian conditions. I am also planning to sell this fridge.
1. we have purchased Hitachi Refrigerator from ur dealer GEMSON International on 19/10/08

2. After 10-12 days it stoped working for sometime then after 2days it start working automatically but there was colling in upper door (referigiration dept) but no cooling in lower door.

3. we complained it to the dealer, he commited to send the technician next 48 hr.

4. A tech. from DIZITEK Service came & fix the fridge. After 15 days the same problem occured. and this is continued till date.

5. last month on 20th may 09 we called up ur helpline no [protected] and made a complaint with no:[protected]. after that so many techniciens had visited the place and gave the feedback to replace some or the other part.

6. people purchase the thing for there luxury & comfort, but after purchasing the Hitachi it seems that it is totaly a discomfort. We are thoroughly disappointed by the breakdown of the refigerator within such a short period of time after the purchase.

8. Now after tolerating all this discomfort, you have three options:
a) eather change my fridge immediatly or
b) refund my money
c) or i forward this case to the cunsumer court

or i have no choice left to put this fridge on the road and show the fire to it.

I bought my refrigerator (R-S31NVND) on 1st Dec. 2006... it was working properly till last few days...But suddenly stoped working now! A light keep blinking continuesly in the control panel. I have put a complaint with Customer Care yesterday and my Complaint no. is[protected] dt. 14th July 2009, but no one has shown up so for! Lets see, if they give the same treatment to me also then we can go to Conusmer Court with all other complainents! We have purchased a consumer durabale product ...so how can we dispose it off so early??? There is some technical fault in their mechanism of the product...so we can approach to the company also! It is happened with so many refrigerators sold in the year 2006! I will inform you about but reply I get from the engineer after verification of the fridge!

After 50 hrs. of complaint[protected] dt. 14/07/2009), no one has contact us or visited our place! Such a quick service we cannot expect from Hitachi!!! Shame on Hitachi for such a poor after sale service! I can definately say that LG is the best in providing after sale service! They contact to the customer within 2 hrs. of complaint and visit the site after taking approoriate time from the customer! Thumbs Up for LG!!!
Writing this mail totally disappointed with the Hitachi Fridge and after sales service

I had purchased a Hitachi Fridge on 01 Nov 2008. Model no R23000AND7K.

Last month the fridge started giving trouble and the cooling system failed

Once rectified and it has failed twice again.

It has been one week after the third complaint dated 01 Aug and no service engineer has reported .

It is unbelievable and shameful for a reputed global company delivering such poor after sales service . The fridge is in the warranty period, but still the response is nil .

Repeated Complaints have been lodged with the Hitachi call centre no [protected]. Shockingly no actions and no permanent solution to the problem . My fridge is switched off and we are without a working fridge in the hot weather .

Nature of complaints
Cooling system failure
The magnetic door lock failure( door does not close properly)
There is no response from service engineers
Hitachi service some times puts calls on voice mail and does not call back !
There is no permanent solution . whenever the technician comes, he fixes temporarily and goes back . There has to be a permanent solution/ replacement

dear sir, i am also owning 3 door hitachi rsfrigrator bought for rs 50000 . sir, it is horrible 2 see the attitude of company towards indian costomers, i have to say that we are putting lot of money 2 have good quality, but all are facing problems either b/c of manufactring defects, comlaints are seen casualy, niether mentained niether qualified staff 2 look after, who is just mentaining forone yr ansd after that god help u, , complaints are niether dealt with and a deadlock is mentained by demanding huge amt for repairs and no warranty, how hitachi is thinking about average life of pcb is it 14 months and after that partly defective pcb is declared non repairable and 9000rs are demanded in which one can buy samsung with 11 yrs warranty, company with good co give longer warranty, even after paying rs 9000 co is not giving single day warranty, ok it is customer who is satisfied never comlaints and if customer has buying capacity of 50000 he should not be taken for ride, he can swith 2 other product b/c of poor after sales co it is time co needs 2 see that what is more imp after 15 days of non functioning refrigrator co is bargaing that u pay 1000 rs less why are cusomers beggers

very poor service we had purchased 3 Door refrigerator on 16/10/2009 from Vijay Sales satara Road pune but till date no one has turned up for demo yesterday one gentlemen had called up for demo and he was suppose to call at 6 pm yesterday but after 24 hr have passed we have not recd further communication from them .

Hitachi — Crack on the main door

Hi, we had purchased a HITACHI regrigeartor(Model R-S31SVND) on 1st Jul 2007 from Gurgaon and later relocated to Mumbai in May'09. we purchased this product to reaffirm our trust in Hitachi brand its products.

Recently we observed a crack on the main door, near the main handle. We tried to to find out the reason, but failed to arrive at any conclusion of the crack.

Later, I registered a complaint with Hitachi customer care on 3oth Sug 09. Subsequently a Hitachi service representative visited for inspection on 1st Sept 09. Upon inspection, he concluded that is a product/manufacturing defect and termed this as an unique case of cracking where there is no evidence of misuse and dent and suggested appropriate action would be taken by Hitachi.

However, even after 3 months, there is follow up action from Hitachi and they are suprisingly silence on the whole matter !. Upon contacting the toll free number service support @[protected] today, we were informed that the case has been closed from their end !

We are terribly dissapointed now and regreting the purchase of Hitachi product. In addition to this we also have another refrigarator of same model and 2 Airconditioners.

We request this forum to help for resolving this matter and get appropriate justice from this multinational

Hitachi has got the most pathetic aftersales service I have come across in India. Going by its global name, it was my biggest mistake to buy a hitachi product in India. I still have not got a reply for my mail attached below, forget about the service. I strongly recommend not to go for a Hitachi product in India.

Ref. to below msg., the Service Engineer attended to the complaint on 07th October 2009.

He looked at the broken part and his remark was that the part was not so important and the Fridge can perform without it. I presume that Hitachi might be providing it as a show piece, and suggest that the company can save a lot in this time of recession if they stop fitting the part on the fridge, since it has got no value in the functioning of the Fridge as suggested by your Service Engineer.

He said that he would come back with the part but till date there is no trace of him.

Attached, please find the Complaint report where it is clearly mentioned that 'Broken part is not replaced' in costumer's remark.

Lastly, I am sorry to say that, your authorised service dealer ' Dolphin Services' is one of the most pathetic service providers I have come across.

I had high respect for brand Hitachi, but maybe it was just an illusion. Learnt it the hard way.

I purchased a Hitachi Fridge from 'Jain Traders, Thane' in Dec 2008, Model : 440AND, Serial no. [protected]

Even before I started using it in March 09, I had to get the Fridge changed as the Compressor running sound was more than normal.

Now couple of weeks back, withing six months o[censored]sage, I find the plastic lock below the main door broken.

I call up your authorised service agents in thane, 'Dolphin Services' on 20/Sept/09 regarding the problem. I even talked to the person incharge, Mr. Rajesh, regarding the problem, and was informed that plastic parts are not covered in warranty. I confirmed the same from warranty card too. They said they would send a techinician to attend to the problem.

I am sorry to say that, till date (12 days past placing the complaint) nobody has attented.

After going through all this, I am sad to say that I made a wrong choice by opting for Hitachi product, selected by me just for its brand name and global value, eventhough it costed much more than other brands.

You tell me, what opinion should I have towards a Hitachi product, if I have to get it changed on the very first day o[censored]sage and then parts keep falling apart within six months o[censored]sage. I am told by your service agent that plastic spares are not covered in warranty and is a material failure. But if the material has to fail within six months o[censored]sage, then its all sub-standard parts/material Hitachi is using and fooling people by charging so much for its products just because of its global value outside India.

We told them to repair and we will pay for it. but they said that now they are not agree to take any responsibility.
