Date:-6th Nov’09 To, Customer Care Cell Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (Pvt.) Ltd. Plot No. 1, Sector 3, IMT Manesar District Gurgaon, Haryana 122050 Subject:-Not giving free service by your Udaipur dealer on Activa scooter RJ 27 SJ 1611 due to over time. Dear Sir, We have purchased a good product (HONDA ACTIVA) from a good company on 12th Sep’09. With this, they have given us OWNER’S MANUAL in which there are 4(four) free service coupons and 3(three) paid service coupons. In this manual, SERVICE PLAN is made with approximate calculation of 1000 km per month, which is impossible for about 80% of the people specially in small cities to do this. Maximum of the adult children who are going to schools and colleges and women drive HONDA ACTIVA scooter and for them it is impossible to drive the scooter 33 km per day. Also on other hand, many holidays also come and in house we have other vehicles (four wheeler etc….) also. So in short, this service plan is impossible to follow and the scheme is simply to attract people, not to support people. Without driving the scooter we get service of our scooter due to overtime. Is this right? Without running we should get service for the scooter? So, this is WRONG. Similarly, on this scooter we got 2(two) free services before time and 2(two) free services wasted. OUR FREE SERVICE RECORD PURCHASE DATE: - 12th Sep’09 FREE SERVICE KM. DATE TIME 1st SERVICE 1015 3/11/08 45 days 2nd SERVICE [protected] LAPSED[protected] 120-135 days 3rd SERVICE 3468 12/05/09 255 days (AVERAGE: - Running 434km/month) 4th SERVICE 5645km date 26/10/09 (13.5 months) 365 days (This service Rejected) As per norms of SERVICE PLAN 4th free service is done in 12000 km in 365 days. How is it POSSIBLE ? So, we request you to check your SERVICE PLAN and exactly calculate Average and then give FREE SERVICES. By writing extra free services in OWNER’S MANUAL, it is just like to misguide the people. In such a big company, these small things should not be considered so much. So, we request you to make SERVICE PLAN according to km limit and not according to the time limit. And the one who will manipulate with this plan, will suffer his/her own vehicle. I agree to the compliant, but Indian Consumer Complaints Forum is hardly concerned.seems this portal is not o[censored]se.

I am agree with the same thing it is not possible on 33 km per day so my suggession is company to provide more 2-3 free servicing because i also bought new activa and my daily running is 60-70 km.
i also agree above complaint this is not possible on 30 to 40 km per day.

Dear all, please be informed you are misreading the manuals. Its clearly written 1st service is 1000km or 30 days whichever is earlier. You are saying 1000km in 30 days which is not true. For your information there are many people also who ride more than 33km per day, for them 1000km will be completed within 2, 3 weeks. They have to do it well within a month. So if Honda increases the time duration it will be a problem for them. So they put a schedule on average. Yes, they can omitt the time duration only km they can count but in this case also some people are there they simply not riding to complete 1000km they will take a year, that will also be a problem for maintenance team as parts will be affected due to not use. So keeping view of everyone they prepared this schedule.
Same problem with me, they rejected my 2nd free servicing. Very dissapointing...
