[Resolved]  Honda Cb Unicorn — Clutch Bell damaged in a month and replacement is chargeable?

I bought my Honda CB Unicorn in the month of August 2012 from Maansarovar Honda, Velachery, Chennai. Since the time of first service I am complaining about the vibration issues and they agreed that but not repaired properly. Now after 4 months they replaced Clutch Bell and asking for charges for the component. During this time I gave my vehicle 5 times in 4 months and every time complained about the issue.
I have opted for Extended warranty also, but as per them this is not covered in warranty. But how come the new vehicle will be having such issues and also chargeable to customer?
I have contacted the manufacturer from the Honda site, but not getting proper response.

sir i have bought a a honda CB UNICORN DAZZLER on 10th june 2010 for 73000/- the silencer has got some physical damage.so will the company replace it as it has warranty..?plz help me sir.

Honda CB Unicorn — shortage in mileage

I am thushar,i got a CB Unicorn. iam getting a milage of only 40 for it. i went to a honda service station(KTC) twice with the problem regarding shortage in milage. still am getting the same milage.

Honda Unicorn — WARRANTY ITEM NOT REPLACED

I purchase a unicorn (2009 model, vehicle number KL 32 B 2909- ENG: NO: KCO9E1114588)
motor bike dated :24 .12 .2009, form shymas auto sales, Now its meter assembly is not working but the
service center did not replace the meter assembly in warranty , so take a necessary action against this
complaint.

Honda CB Unicorn — not giving number

I am purchase a new Honda bike in July 12. the sub dealer not giving the blue book till date. He told the main dealer crate problem. Plead tell me what I used my bike. With out blue book not used bike. Please tell me what can I do this time.my contract no [protected]

Even i face the same situation . We buy Honda for its quality but if we face such problems . We need to think twice henceforth.

I bought my Honda CB Unicorn in the month of July 2012 from LODHA Honda in chennai. First thing my battery was dry and i could never start using automatic . Every time had to keep kicking it and had to apply choke for my vehicle to move atleast for 200 Meters without stopping else it may turn off because of this i get a mileage only around 40 kmpl but it is expected to give atleast 50 kmpl.

What is the solution for me to not apply the choke and move the vehicle in normal condition ? Hope Honda Servicing may have the solution for this ?

Hi, I forgot to mention one problem for my vehicle, that is with the starting problem. I have to apply chock for at least 200 meters for my vehicle to run smooth. This brought my mileage back to 40-45 KMPL.
I asked the service person about this and he told me that this is common for all CB Unicorn. For every halt more that 3 hours I have to face this issue.
Why Honda is not taking care of this issue?

The service centers in Chennai is just worst.
First of all, all spare parts are covered under warranty except rubber seal, gaskets, and glass items. The replaced part must be free of charge. If dealer insists to pay, ask him to give me in writing that this part is not covered under warranty.
Is this what we pay, the spare part in bike should not work for 4 months even? If show Honda company and dealer should give in writing that the said spare part has a life of of JUST 4 months (sucks!) and they should also show it in spare part schedule in owner manual book.
If they fail to show that, you need to file a proper case in consumer forum and demand a hefty compensation for mental harassment and cheating. In fact, you should file a complain to return/replace the bike.
I too had the same problem in my CB unicorn and the same dealer (Manasarovar, Velarchery). They refused to replace the Clutch bell saying that it is not covered under warranty. Even I talked to their supervisors as well, but nothing happened. As per the Warranty Manual, only the clutch plates are not covered under warranty. But the Mechanic who serviced my vehicle argued saying that the Clutch bell is also not covered under warranty. I spent around 3 hours there, finally ended up in paying the amount but decided not give bike to Manasarovar anymore.

Even I sent a mail to Honda customer care as well, but no response from Honda too !!!. So the only thing I did is 1) Changed my service center 2) Spread it to your friends, at least they will not suffer the same
