Replacement of Steering – Honda CB Twister Purchased on 10.11.2010 from M/s Punjab Honda, Ahmedabad Ref. Frame No. ME4JC47 – 2KA8076446 Engine No. JC47E - 0119971 Dear Sir, I belong to a middle class family, working with Western India Automobile Association (WIAA) as EDP In-charge. I am very fond of two-wheelers. To fulfil my long cherished wish, I opted to buy a HONDA CB TWISTER (Self start) and I purchased my Honda on 10.11.2010 from M/s Punjab Honda, Ahmedabad. It was giving me a pleasurable ride and I am quite satisfied with the bike and its performance. Unfortunately, on 26th January, 2011 I met with an accident with another two-wheeler, and the steering of my vehicle was damaged. Since the vehicle was insured, I contacted M/s Punjab Honda on 27.01.2011 from where I purchased the vehicle. The claim was passed on the very next day but surprisingly my vehicle was not repaired at that time. On inquiry, I have been informed by the Stores Divison of M/s Punjab Honda that they don’t have stock of Steering, and the same will be replaced when the manufacturer i.e Honda delivers the steering to them. To my great astonishment, now it has already 5 months have elapsed the steering has not yet replaced. I am still driving the bike with the damaged steering which, of course is a threat to my life, as I won’t be able to control the bike the way I wanted. As a manufacturer of repute, it is beyond my imagination to believe that the company doesn’t have ample stock of spares. Before I knock any other door to get justice, I feel that it is my duty to inform you that as a manufacturer, you are not giving the importance of “human-life”. Every alternate day, I am contacting the Honda dealer i.e. Punjab Honda, and am getting the same reply “no stock”. Contd..02 .02 I think 5 months is enough time for a company like you to replace the steering. I would, therefore, request you to kindly instruct your Dealer i.e. M/s Punjab Honda to replace the steering immediately or if you have not supplied the steering to your Dealer, please supply it immediately so that I will get my bike repaired immediately.
