[Resolved] Honda/unicorn — Engine heat Problem | |
Hi, I have Honda Unicorn, which I brought from Fortune Motors, Hyderabad on July 2008. Recently(2months back) I am facing problem with Engine. when I ride 3 to 4 km the Engine was getting very heat. I asked for Showroom Engineer regarding this problem. He said he want to observe for one day. I given my bike to Honda Show room @ Fortune Honda Showroom, Nereedmet,Hyderabad for service. after that service also I am facing same problem. How can I fix this problem. And also when i give to service, millage is also getting reducing. Now I am getting 47/lt. my doubt was "normally for how many kilometers ride the engine will get heated?" i have the same problem my unicorn engine gets heated up very soon...even i ride 4-5 km...wat i will do i cant understand...i am very worried about it

I AM ALSO HAVING PROBLEM WITH MY ENGINE, THE PROBLEM IS THE SOUND OF THE ENGINE ITS SOUND IS DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER UNICORNS ( HARSH SOUND ) AND THE ENGINE IS NOT AT ALL SMOOTH
ALSO THE BIKE RUNS VERY ROUGH TILL THE 1ST KM EVEN AFTER HEATING THE BIKE FOR MINUTES BEFORE RUNNING
BOUGHT IT FROM AUTOFIN HIMAYATHNAGAR HYD.ON 27TH FEB 2009 AND THIS PROM RIGHT FROM STARTING. EVERY TIME I TELL THEM THEY SAY IT WILL BE SOLVED AFTER SERVICING

I have the same problem. when I ride 1 or 2 km it gets heated up as if I have rode 50 km. my bike is Honda CB Shine. What is the main cause. Please mail me the solution, i will be so grateful for your suggestion. [protected]@yahoo.com

I also have overheat problem in my new unicorn . It has done 5k kilometers and have done all 4 regular services with oil changes.
still engine get over heat under normal riding often . It looks like Honda reliability has become just myth nowadays specailly for

I had engine overheat problem in beginning but not anymore. engine can overheat due to wrong carburator setting,
less tyre pressure or bad engine oil or wrong grade of oil. Honda unicorn require 10w30 mineral or 10w40 semi synthetic. beware of castrol there are many fake in market sold. I had bad experience with castrol power1. don't even try mak 4t nxt, it is totally waste of money very bad oil.
honda's own oil is not so good. should not ride bike more than 60 speed for initial 1 to 2k kilometers run (even though manual says 500km of run-in period). Mileage of 45 to 50 is very normal.

Hi...I got unicorn 160 a week ago and its engine is getting heated up in just 3-4 kms...also sometimes its engine stops automatically...and only after 5 min m able to start it...don't know what is the problem... Please suggest something on this...is any 1 facing same???

I just got my new Unicorn CB from Honda dealer in Hyderabad. I drove back home around 15 kms at a max speed of 40 kms in city evening traffic.
But I somehow felt that the engine is becoming too hot after around 8-9 kms. I could feel the heat of engine on my foot. I have a Calliber 115 but I don't remember feeling the heat anytime until touched.

last month I purchased now honda unicorn. I am facing over heating problem on engine. and also noise problem also occur
In my new Unicorn160 bike (2022) its engine is getting over heated up in just 3-4 kms...
