HP Pavilion DV9312tx Vaidhayanth Balaji 9 C 1,Phase-II,TNHB Quarters,Sathuvachari Vellore, Ta 632009 IN www.lensandframes.com Last 4 months has been a tough ordeal for me with HP India.Mistakenly i chosen HP pavilion laptop for personnal use instead of dell and gone ahead and purchased it on june 13th 2007 from a HP Reseller in Cochin,Kerala. My model number is HP Pavilion DV9312tx Serial Number CNF7190LJP Product Code:GJ156PA My TV Tuner card Redemption Code:NO75KFM43T i applied for TV tuner card redemption offer on 20th of june 2007 and all the necessary documents plus Rs500 Demand draft in favor of solutions integrated marketing services limited newdelhi reached on 24th of june 2007. I got confirmation of my tv tuner card from Hp Redemption cell newdelhi in 10 days time through an acknoledgement letter. Since i purchased 64 pit laptop with windows vista ultimate 64 edition os,i enquired in both hp customer care as well as soultions integrated marketing services about the compatibility of tv tuner card i am going to get from them. I was assured by both the parties that i will be getting a TV tuner card that will be compatible to my purchased item from HP.I was also assured that i should be getting my tv tuner card in 6-8 weeks from the time of registration. Today after 4 months wait i got the tv tuner card from hp redemption cell new delhi, but it is of no use for me the tv tuner card i got today is of hauppauge wintv usb2 model which is incompatible with vista ultimate 64 bit or media center edition pc. What is the point in sending something which i will never be able to use with laptop? and why to give false promises like i will be getting WinTV HVR 900 series(which is the only comapatible card for my laptop)this was told by mr abhijith from solutions integrated services marketing limited newdelhi(looks after hp redemption)3 weeks back through telequery to me. i really feel pity for HP brand,the people looks after hp here in india doing great job in destroying it faster. By the way i want to return this incompatible tv tuner card back to HP could some one tell me what the procedure ? I have purchased HP Pavilion Notebook. They offered me Kodak Digicam. for that i have to send the DD for 1000/-. I have already send it 2 months back. But currently i didn't get any response from them. I just want to say if they want to charge 1000 Rs, It's okay but don't give the false committement to your customer.Even they didn't pick up the phone[protected] disgusting one. I got the confirmatory e-mail from HP Redemption cell stating that my claim date is 03-Nov-08 and i would receive my digital camera within 6 weeks from claim date. i.e i would be receiving on 16-Dec-08.
But, I did not receive anything from HP till 26-Dec-08 and so, i sent an e-mail to HP on 27-Dec-08 stating that i have not received and requested for the update on status of the same.

HP India is at it again with a new promotion this time. They are offering a Kodak C913 digital camera or a Philips Home Theatre system if you buy an HP Pavilion laptop. Now the not-so-pleasant details:
1. Croma Lower Parel is advertising that HP Mini 1000 (HP's new 10.4" laptop) is also included in the offer. The infamous Abhijit of Solutions Integrated (who still continue to be HP India's redemption partners) has confirmed this is true. But call up the HP helpline[protected] and they will tell you that the HP Mini 1000 is NOT part of the promotion - it is not eligible for any free gift. (This misinformation is actually the fault of Croma and Solutions Integrated, not HP).
2. In addition, HP Customer Support at[protected] also tells me that the promotion as advertised on HP India's own website is INCORRECT. The digital camera is only available on certain Compaq Presario models. If you buy an HP Pavilion laptop you are entitled only to a Philips Home Theatre system. This contradicts the website which clearly allows you to select either the Kodak Digital Camera or the Philips Home Theatre System if you buy an HP Pavilion laptop.
My prediction: Solutions Integrated will only ship the Philips Home Theatre system for all HP laptops, if they ever do send something out. Please don't waste your Rs.1299 for redeeming the Kodak C913 digital camera - you will never get it. If you want to buy the HP Pavilion buy it for what it's worth - don't buy it for the free gift that you will never get.
Shame on HP India for making such a mess of the promotion. Consumer action needs to be taken against such misinformation and false promotions.

Hi,my name is govind and i am a student.i bought a hp pavilion dv6910 laptop from jain peripherals pvt ltd, gurgaon. there was an offer of a kodec camera of 9.2 megapixal. I send a demand draft of 990 in the favour of solutions integrated marketing services pvt ltd payable at new delhi. i got confermation latter from same and i assured that i m getting my camera within one month but still now after three month i haven't got it from company. If company is not capable to offer such promotions then why they cheat people. I have wasted my Rs 990 in demand draft.
