[Resolved]  Hyundai Verna — Verna fluidic manufacturing defect

Dear sir/mam,
Hi, I am tarun thakral from new delhi, india, I have bought a verna fluidic/CRDI/1.6/SX white color, chassis no MALCU41ULBM034185*K , engine no D4FBBU010859 , RC no DL4CAV7711 by the name of Tarun Thakral on 21/oct/2011 from samrithi hyundai ambala, I have been facing some problems in the car since that very month only.
Within the 1st month, the paint of one of the alloys started peeling off n I showed the same to mgf hyundai mayapuri where they confirmed that the new alloy will come within 2 weeks which has not come till now. In that month itself I have the car for first service at mgf mayapuri where I was told that car is not teflon coated whereas while purchasing the car I was told it is teflon coated for which I paid to pay rs. 5000 extra at mgf auto.

In the 4th month, the AC stoped working (no cooling), on checking they said it is tripping and made some changes but it is still tripping till today and does cool.

In the 6th month(24 april 2011) I came out of a party around 1:30 AM and discovered that my car was not starting due to battery drained out completey and the car was not even starting on pushing it. I had to leave the car there and go home in a cab, next day morning the car went to mgf hyundai mayapuri where they said it is some battery fault and replaced the battery.

In the 7th month(first weak of may) car went for the second service and still none of the problems mentioned above were solved and after taking the car from service the driver hardly drove it a few kms and parked it. After few minutes he tried to start the car but it was not taking any self and was not starting, the mgf team came again and took the car with them and returned it back after an hour saying that this will not happen again. A new problem also emerged during the same time, the clutch started vibrating when the rpm use to come between 1.2 to 2.5 approx. I have not got the solution for this till now.

In the same month one more problem came up, while driving the car, suddenly the gear got jammed in the neutral position and was not able to put any gear, on trying my level best to push the gear with my maximum force I put the first gear and the car started moving again but when I tried to put the second, it again got jammed in neutral and I had to stop my car and push it till my house.
A complaint was made and mgf service man came to house and said that the problem was because some air came in the pipe so he repaired it that time saying that please send your car for a check up.

In the beginning of 7th month(june 2nd) I sat in my car around 1230 to go back to my house and on starting it, it was making weird noises my time belt as if it a very old car and suddenly the voice became more prominent and within 2 minutes from that we could smell something burning, on opening the trunk we could smell it more and the car's temperature was getting very hot.
We parked the car on the roadside and stood away from it for at least half an hour for it to get ok.
After that we finally got into the car and had to drive it at 20km/hr all the way to house with the smell of burning increasing and the temperature getting hot.
Finally when we managed to reach home around 3:30 in the night, the car was giving black smoke from front and got some wire on fire, we immediately stopped the car and ran off.
next day morning we tried to start the car to send it to service station but realized that the car was not starting(again the battery problem) and not even on pushing it. The car got towed and went to mgf mayapuri. since sunday(3rd june) the car is at mgf workshop and I have not got any reply till today, its the sixth day now and no response.
Getting such an expensive vehicle from a highly reputed company like hyundai and facing so many problems is not at all worth ed.
It has been a very tough and an embarrassing experience with this car so I kindly request the company to change this vehicle for me or return the amount back as I am not at all satisfied with the quality and the service offered moreover who is going to responsible if the vehicle catches fire and any mis happening occurs with anyone in the car. I cannot take any such risks that too with a new car.
Kindly take the need full action soon because everyday without a car is very tough.
Every time mgf mayapuri has take prompt and immediate action on putting any complaint and always send the service people but the car has got so so many problems that every time a new thing comes up in the car.
All the problems mentioned above still stand unsolved till today that too when the car has not even done 20000 kms and is only 7.5 months old car.
I request you to kindly take a positive action for your customer and their satisfaction so that I am not forced to take any legal or serious action.

Hyundai Verna — Hyundai not able to solve the problem in 6 months old Hyundai verna giving black smoke

I have purchased a Hyundai Verna(Supposed to be the best car of year) From Hans Hyundai ( Unit Of Charu Motors (P) Ltd )on 18/10/2007 Registration Date 22/10/2007, Registration Number DL4CND1315

Engine Number D4FAfU361215, Chasis Number: MALCM41VR7M034047.My car is giving Black Smoke and fuel efficiency has gone down drastically and pick up of the car has also gone down of the car and i have visited MGF HYUNDAI 4 times for the same problem they rectify it at that time, but again it starts in week or so . I dont know what is the exact problem but they are not able to rectify it completely . Hyundai is such a renowned company . Such type of service is not expected from such a big company . I dont know whether there is a flaw in the product or in people who are rectifying the same. I have visited service station 4 times for the same problem but no result
Lodge a complaint in Consumer forum. Hyundai is not going to solve the problem. its my personal experiene they dont know what the customer is. and they never provide you support.
Moreover have words with customer relation manager.
I have verna sx 1.6 model since Feb 2014. got a fairly nice deal in this model and owned it in 8 lakhs, so it goes like this.. yes, ‘I am THE second owner’ and yes, i am proud of it. In the first 8 months of my drive it was sailing like a ship in quiet sea, no bumps, nothing. a good machine to show off. After then it got a first bump in gear. Gears started stucking while shifting from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4. though 5 and 6 were smooth then. the most irritated one was reverse gear. the moment i was giving a thought to shift my gear in reverse, the sound of eeiiinnnnnnn….thhuugg was crossing in my mind. Now since i got married in January, it was a quite embarrassing experience in front of my in-laws to back/reverse my car in front of them. Because seeing this beauty first time each individual expects a alot about its behavior and right then, it gives you a sound like eeeeiiiinnnnn...thugggg. well, I know, quite embarrassing..
Now, in between of all this mind boggling things, i was checking all over the net to get the right solution for the my beauty n beast. All I had received was a bundle of complaints with lots of bucks spent by many people and yet they are facing the gear stuck issue.Open google and write “verna fluidic gear issue” and you will find out hundreds of complaints flooded with queries against HMIL.

a thought ran into my mind to buy a new car from maruti because of two reasons :

verna’s gear stuck issue and also the shockers ride quality were not that too high. with 4 persons loaded, it was touching to most of the speed breakers.
ofcourse and the very obvious, maruti’s reliability and assurance of service. was planning for ertiga

then i opted to have this beast because of two reasons:

i couldn’t managed to get a good car in terms of good looks and feature as compared to verna. plus my budget was around 8 lakhs, not exceeding. and also that too in sedan or LUV only. no hatchbacks. I had santro earlier, just for information.


Then i went my car mechanic which i trust most, like 5% or 10%, if i see the hyundai workshop first i will rather choose this mechanic. He solved my wagnor issue too in 2014 and i was much impressed with his work. He charged a genuine price with genuine maruti parts.

He saw verna, took a ride and said “Ho jayega, thoda kharcha zyada aayega.. ab yeh bhi toh dekho, fluidic verna hai.. parts mehange aayege”. and explaining me the reason of the issue like a doctor.. every word he said was enough to show some trust in him to get this issue resolve.. I said how much.. he said somewhere around 10000rs which includes shockers stiffness too. Although he was quite confident in himself, but some serious thoughts were running into my mind parallel that if this would be right decision or not to spend my hard earned money. The reason was, I have seen those articles where guys spent about 50k bucks and issue still persists.. But I took the my chances and gave car to him with a TAT of 2 days.. On second day I gave a call to him (i was kind of worried about my drive).. mechanic said that I can take my car tomorrow means third day.. I felt like to said “tumse na ho payega.. jane do”.. but i maintained to be in my cool, calm and compose behaviour and said OK.
On third day, (grand finale day) when i went to him for my car in mechanic’s garage. Mechanic was busy in other car’s repairing. Verna was not there. He said ”baitho.. gaadi abi gyi hai banne ko.. aa jayegi 5 min me ”... and the very first thought which ran in my mind was ”gha*ta baitho.. show me my car u .. aaj teersa din hai.” Then he repaired the other car and went in it with fellow mechanic to bring Verna.
FINALLY, he came and i saw my verna after 3 days.. happened first time since i bought it. car was shining like all new. He got it washed - in & out. so it was a cleaned car and he said to me take a drive, ‘alone’. I drove and “voila” so nice, so yum..cream.. makhan to drive.. again.. smoothhiee.. then thought of reverse gear came in my mind.. again.. yesss...heart was thumping.. bum bum bum.. but mechanic had done his job-perfectly.
Cost - rs 15000.. yes.. 5000rs extra.. clutch plate, ball bearing changed, gear oil changed.. some rubber inserted between shockers to make it more stiff.
i am back with verna and loving it more.. me..Show off again..

gear stuck issue got resolved.. atleast for 60000km.. that’s what a clutch plate demands in it’s lifetime..rest depends how you drive your car..
hi dis is naveen i was purchaged huyndai 4s 2016 in feb 17. i have the purchage 1st vechile in 2016. better my suggestion dont purchage verna. dat is the worest vechile in sedan. i[censored] want details plz contact my num [protected]

I have bought new vernal fludic 2012. just 20, 000 Km. This is happening 3rd time right from the beginning i have facing clutch issues. i have informed every service right from the first service to the hyundai service centre. i they just ignored and told me this is quite common problem of verna. somehow i have managed while driving with double time pump clutch pedal. But unfortunately today when i travelled to bangalore after 40km running clutch pedal got stuck and couldn't do anything in the midnight. i have contacted agin the service center morning they said i have to change the complete clutch set . it may cost 20000 rs. this is insane just 20, 000km clutch complaint no i am going to file a case against hyundai also many of them report the same issue why don't u rectify by replacing this issue and selling this car to india to kill people. if you not help me
