[Resolved]  Ibm — Reg. The Interview

On 6th MArch, 2010 I have also got verbal communication for my PDM interviewer that I will receive an offer letter. Till today (19/04/2010)no responce from IBM side. Consultancy says the status is PDM Hold.

I too agree all above comments. I cleared my technical and PDM rounds but no response from IBM. They are trying to give work to their HR dept(no work) but it frustrates candidates those who are appearing for job interviews.

I am really scared of reading all the comments above as I cleared Two technical rounds in SAP HR in IBM at Diamond District on May 29..they told they would call me for PDM round in 2 days but after waiting for almost 2 weeks and continues follow up with the HR, I got a call from IBM HR today ( June 11, 2010) saying that they ll schedule the PDM round ..I really don't know if they ll schedule the PDM and I ll get an offer in IBM...

Anyone have attend Technical & PDM round in IBM on 8th May 2010 and get offer letter. I have attend and cleared both rounds and HR told me directly that you have selected and my agency told the same thing that you have cleared. But Still waiting for offer letter. Any way to get status of offer letter or can you tell me that how much IBM take to issue offer letter. Please reply me as soon as possible that what should I do.

Well that was a good try, don't ever leave ur job until u get a hard copy of the offer letter from IBM..cant trust these MNC's these days...and i[censored] r interested in job change then send me ur profile to [protected]@gmail.com..i ll refer u in accenture...and u can negotiate with Accenture keeping ur IBM offer in hand...

And i am also waiting for my offer letter from IBM...I completed my PDM yesterday.(16-JUNE-2010).

PDM (Project Development & Management ), it is nothing but the HR round, the general questions would be :Tell me about ur education background", " Why IBM", "What's ur salary expectations and stuff like that...but u dont get to negotiate much as they would not offer any great package..

I attended interview at consultants office for oracle/pl sql . After the intereview they told me that i have cleard the tech round and will be called for PDM round. 1 week is already over and not heared from IBM yet. I really doubt whether there is some genuine requirements or they are just passing time by conducting such interviews.

I too completed my technical round on May 8 and PDM on June12.PDM told me that i would receive an offer within a week and HR told within 2 weeks.But no Info after that.Can I expect offer letter from them?I am very anxious abt this, or should I try for another one?Anyone who got offer letter in this period please reply...

I too completed my technical round on may 25, 2010 and called for PDM round on 29 may 2010 and they took all my scanned documents and they made me to sit for 2 hrs and then they called me in for PDM round and the manager one who is taking the round saw all my scanned documents and said that some TECH BBI or TECH BBS form was missing and i cant continue the interview without that form ...And i asked him what is that form and he said that... The one who has taken the Technical round for you should send that form to the one who is taking me the PDM round ...so i said hw would i knw that sir its ur ppl responsible i said...so wht he did is He called to the HR in front of me and asked him regarding this ... He said that he wil be sending that form through mail at that time he send ok and HR sent that form and in the mean time he asked me some questions regarding my personal profile and after that he recived TECH BBI form from HR so wht did this manager said is it was missing some sequence ...SO I CANT CONTINUE THE INTERVIEW WITH U HE SAID and he also told we wil be calling u after 2 or 3 days for the same round but it is almost 2 months i did get a cal from IBM ...This is very bad ... IBM

Hey guys all o[censored] who are waiting for the offer from IBM can chill out, they had some tool problem so ter was a delay in releasing the offer letters .I too was waiting for the offer letter and completed the PDM in June 2nd week and finally gt the offer letter on Jun 30 and my joining in IBM is July 30.

I wish good luck for all those who are trying for IBM and for all those who are waititng for the offer letters.

One suggestion to all o[censored] is Follow up with the HR regarding the interview and offer letter once in a week, it worked for me.

Just wanted to share my experience with IBM, if anyone is planning to attend this most probably location would be Pune ( IBM TPA Pune Yerwada).

If your cv has been short listed & consultant asked you to attend interview, they are very smart & tell you that this is scheduled interview. Guys trust on me this will be big mistake.

After reaching @ IBM you need to wait at least 4 hrs in long quae, what matter if you got 10 or 15 years experience. Security is very vast @ IBM premises’.

Bags are not allowed inside IBM location even carry bag & helmets :(

They will ask you to keep it outside of the campus where Tapriwala will charge you 10 RS for keeping all belonging.

Another thing would like to highlight you that, they won’t allow you to park your Vehicle inside IBM parking what matters you came for Interview ( IBM will feel that you are Bekar). If you park your vehicle outside area then Traffic Police will toe your vehicle within half n hour.

After standing in the huge queue you will be allowed to come inside the canteen area, Only one lady HR would be there to assist all candidates (More than 100 candidate) all documents would be in line with then next part which is very bad is they will ask you to meet RMG guy ( Only 1 or 2 HR would be their)

Many technologies interview will be planned ( This is not scheduled interview it's walk in ) Remember if your consultant told you this is scheduled then it wont be scheduled interview this would be walk in!

After waiting for more than 4 hrs they will ask you to submit soft copy of your CV, Interview panel would not be always their in IBM they will scheduled your Telephonic round. My experience is IBM interview panel is not ready to conduct interview so there are many chance that your interview would be only formality.
90 % candidate would be rejected.

Interview panel would ask you question using Google, so chance are very low. He will never ask you case to case question.

Guys I would suggest you to not to attend IBM interview if you are looking change.

I was looking for a change and attended IBM interview on 27 february 2010, which was a walk in. They were not allowing any bagages inside their campus. Always carry your docs in plastic packet or use folders. There was a big queqe of candidates. I reached there at 8.45 and sat for technical round at around 3 pm. So be prepared. I was then informed on the same day that the feedback is negative. I returned home. Then on next day got a call from the consultancy to attend PDM round on the next saturday. It was perplexing enough, but true. The tech interview feedback was indeed positive. So I attended the PDM round next saturday. They told that I will get the offer letter but it may be delayed. I kept in touch with the consultancy and after 20 days approx came to know that my profile is on hold. If in IBM your profile is on HOLD for any reason then be sure you will never get the offer letter. As I was unaware of the fact I kept waiting but never received the offer.

Then on 12 june 2010 I again go for IBM interview. This time it was an agency exclusive one. It was a nice experience as the long queue of candidates was not there. The interview was scheduled in a place provided by the consultancy, and it was not in any IBM campus. There was only 1 tech panel present. I have to give a telephonic interview. All questions was regarding my technical competancy and current project. it was very good. Immediately I was informed that the feedback is positive. I sat for f2f PDM round, which was also a very good experience in itself. they informed that I will receive the offer letter through mail within 15 days. But that was not the case. I enquired the consultancy. They told there was some managerial problems going on so it will be delayed. ultimately I received the offer letter after almost 1 month. The hard copy was received after 2 months almost.

I am too happy to join IBM now. Hope you all will get the offer letter.

Hey Rajkumar...i too atteneded the interview at Diamond district on May 29 and gt the offer letter on june 30...its been 10 days that i joined IBM .

Guys pls chill out andbe patient ..as IBM is recruiting in mass and they have hell lot of processes for the recruitment to be done..so the offer letters and stuff could get delayed by some time...take my words ..follow with the HR on the status o[censored]r interview and offer letters ..it really works..

Hi I have atteneded PDM round interview at kolkata on 19 - june -2010 and interviewer told me that "I am select I will get offer letter within 2 weeks".

But till now I have not offer letter. I have emailed to HR but they are not responding.

IF anyone attened the pdm round interview and facing same problem please comment in this blog.
