[Resolved]  Ibm — Reg. The Interview

IBM is the worst company that I have seen in my 10 Years of IT career. They scheduled an interview in chennai on sep-25-2010. It was face to face interview after spending 5 hours I cleared all the rounds and finally went to HR for salary negotiation. After everything is done smoothly they said they will get back to me in 2-3 days with offer.
Its been 1.5 months now they never revert back to me and when I contacted HR and the concerned consultancy company they said I got rejected.
It was a way surprise for me as after clearing all the rounds and HR's discussion I waited for 1.5 months and how idiotic the end result is. They even haven't shared the reason with me.
They simply said we don't have the reson but this is the feedback. So I would recommand anyone who think IBM is a big brand or MNC ..please get rid of this perception asap.
I have clearly mentioned in my resume to various recruiters that "For IBM please excuse me for calling". :)
I think that's the best way to teach this company a lesson.

IBM is worst company to work with. Now days they don't have Brand name, No policies ( for everything from hiring to firing), no standard procedures. Its my worst experience with IBM in 10 years of IT career. I got selected in IBM 3 times and in all 3 times they said they will revert back to me with offer and they never came out.
3rd was the most interesting incident. After spending 5 hours in face to face interview ( I had to screw up my weekend) with IBM they are quite impressed with my CV and interview feedback and they are in a hurry to onboard the candidate so tomorw itself they will release the offer letter.
Its been 1.5 months now and they are sitting like dumb.
I called up HR and consultancy agency they said I got rejected. ( what a surprise). and when I asked for the reason they said as soon as they find the reason they will revert back to me. ( more surprising).
So I had to say a big "NO" to IBM in my future career options. My same 2 cent for you guys who think IBM has good brand name.
Don't go with such company where they don't have any policy ( from hiring to firing), no standard nothing.

I had been to IBM hyderabad for an Interview on 6th May for the interview and cleared all the rounds they kept us waiting for 4 hours for the pdm round but at 5 we were sent back saying we will get a call on monday its been more than 3 weeks now but it never happened, I keep mailing HR but no response, even my consultant have no idea whats been going on, the HR who was conducting the Interview was Madan Mohan, its really very unprofessional the way company has been conducting interviews.

I too completed my 2technical and PDM round on 22 August 2010 ..also submitted all documents but did not get the offer letter yet..it's almost 3 and half months are going to be completed .. anybody have the idea now i will get the offer from IBM or not ?? i mean should be there any hope to get the offer or not now.since 3 and 1/2 months has been completed

IBM — Making us work 54 hours a week(on Saturdays)

We have been asked to work 6 days a week because company failed to make profit in this quarter. We are already working (5days 9 hrs).They have asked us to work on 3 Saturadys for No Comp Off or no pay for working on saturdays.

Please help, what do we do??

Going for pdm round of IBM was horrible experience.
First the contact number of HR was Richa Naresh who did not pick up mobile on the day when you are going for interview.
Second you should not carry sack/bag with you but there employees can carry it.
Security asks to keep those back on road but not in the premises of IBM.
Third thing they will ask to come at some time for interview and even if you reach for itnerview half an hour before security tells the time for interview is over and doors are closed.
Shame on IBM for calling 10 Yrs experince persons and then frustrating/insulting at there door step.IBM needs shameless employees...and not the talented one...

Today 15th Jan 2011, I appeared in Walk-in at Gurgaon, but my 7 hours gone in waste with no result. There were more than 150+ candidates, none had clue about number of vacancies, designation & profiles. 1/3 cadidates left un-attended. Most o[censored]s was sent by a FOOLED agency named 'TRIANGLE-Mumbai'. No proper arrangement were there, long queues. I reached at 9:45 AM, got interviewed at 3:00 PM. The interviewer was unable to communicate in english properly. He asked me from where I got my PMP, everybody knows it's from PMI(USA). My 1st round continued for 1 hour.

I think IBM is worst now, as 2 of my incompetent, incapable team member already joined IBM. So it's for those people only. Specially GBS Gurgaon is the worst place to work, as their client Airtel sits on their head & treat them like anything. One of my colleague is there for 3 years, but just got 2-3 % hike every years, though he manages 4-5 projects. This is company only for Female candidate (work from home) or for incompetent people.

In my previous company, Once I tried to select a very sound Techy guy & asked my SPM to recommed him. My SPM had 2nd round with that guy & finally advised me that we shall not select people who 'r more capable then us, else we would lose our jobs. They same seems to be prevalent in many IT company including IBM, I suppose.

So Guys, next time you got rejected, cheer up & remember you 've narrow escape from joining a nasty company. But still a NASTY job it better than nothing, if you 'r jobless. But you need think b4 joining IBM..

Although being a Ex-emp of ibm .I do accept the same . IBM HR dept have some issue.It may be management or some scam is going on . Most of the HR emp are contractor and their Managers are parm. This people have good contact with the consultancies.

Recently (FEB 2011) i went for IBM interview.techincal/PDM and HR all the rounds got over.Even if i have accepted the compensation pdf send by them .Till today
i did not recieved any offer.

This is generic process and error followed
across the country and org.So, Their is nothing we could do or take action againts them.What we can do is .be happy with what you have and keep trying some other orgn or give IBM interview again.

IBM — PF money not yet received

Hi,

I am Sankar was an employee of IBM from 25th Sept 2006 to 28th July 2010.
My PF no is:KN/BN/19214/046268.
After finished by IBM formalities the PF form reached at KR Puram PF office before 4 months.
I am continuously trying to reach them and after all nobody is picking the call and not giving any updates.
Someone from PF office told the money will be credited to my SBI account by the 1st week of Apr 2011.
But today again I tried to reach them,but nobody picking the call.
Since it is more than 4 months and since last 2 months they are telling that it will credit soon.But the money is yet to come to my account.

Please do it needful.

The same thing happening to me still now. They selected me twice for SAP BI profile once in December 2010 and later in Feb 2011, but still now they havent issued any offer if we call them they say some internal recruiting problem and they are in hold dont know why they conduct interviews on week ends for same job location keeping selected candidates in hold.

IBM — access fair demand in auto

Auto number KA A5162. Driver was ready to fight for access fair. i called for auto 3 O clock after noon from kaderenhalli cross to bank clonony. i have asked him to put metter but he didnt after some time he start to deman me for more fair. and he force me not to leave auto. i have to go in same cab.

It i snot matter of more money but as he talk to me and forced to use that auto that is my issue. Kindly do some thing for that. other wise it is very difficult to stay this beautifull city.

IBM — VULGAR CALLS AND SMS

Dear Sir,

I get some calls and sms from some unknown person, I'm facing this problem since last one month.
this guy continuously calls at odd timings and talk some nonsence proposals.
Please help me to get rid of this situation.

I dont have the contact number of HR, I only have the consultant number (Focus management consultant) but she is telling that the information is not updated in tool and there it is showing pending. Now how can it be tracked. She is not ready to give the HR contact number.

Sab sahi bol rahe ho bhaiya...same thing happened to me also...had 3 rounds including PDM and got the direct positive confirmation from HR ...and after that NO RESPONSE yet...i spent around 2 weekdays and 3 litres of petrol for the selection procedure and got nothing.

I attended IBM interview as part of Celebrating 100 years - Diversey Drive on 12th July . I have been informed after PDM round that i got selected and can wait for offer letter.

Now i am waiting for offer letter from IBM. Its been more than 10 days now. The consultancy contacted me 3 days after the interview and told that they got confirmation from IBM and i have to wait for offer letter from IBM.

Any one knows IBM's HR contact no?

I also attended Interview on 14 July(Technical) and 20 july(PDM) 2011... I have been following up with HR they have been telling me that they will release my offer soon but now when I asked exact date they told me my status is on hold as all requirement got filled however Manger who took my PDM round told me that this is just an competency building drive means they are recruiting people for their pool not for any specific position...

I do not understand these contradictory statement by HR and Manager in PDM round...

I have left the hope now as I will look for other company's offer which are also in lined.. :)

No one knows whats the reason behind it but really disappointing when they called me twice in weekdays(I had to compromise my office that day) and even after clearing interviews they are not releasing offer :(
