ICFAI simply sucking blood of poor students. All the policies are very confusing no support to students at the time of admission marketing people behave in a very very helpful manner. Post admission no one reminds for the registration even they are minting money in various way New students Please avoid taking admission in ICFAI this is completely waste of energy, time & money.

ICFAI — Is ICFAI for real?????/

What is with ICFAI?? All is fine with their stupendous success and the way they review and refurbish their courseware....hat's off...that's all good...but this is India!!...and the success story for every entrepreneur is this....open ur shop as early as u can, spread ur nets hoping a good catch... all ignoramous innocent fat fishes. The question still remains why do they have to charge such a whopping amount for their courses especially the bachelor's ( 40,000 bucks is not a small amount that u invest for a bachelor's degree and that too on distance learning mode ) and if it is all about professionalism... check this out..their own website http://www.iutripura.edu.in/dec.asp...open ur eyes or get a maginfier...it very cleary says that they are certified to conduct distance education programs for a year from the date of issue of the letter which is 10'th march 2008 and of course they are directed to conduct their examinations two times a year and not 4 times. :) very clever ..aint i??... i am not entirely confident abt ICFAI now... PS: i found these mishaps on just a perfunctory glance..dint use my auduting skills to the fore..but that's enough for me to stop myself on doing any extensive research on whthr i shud be doing any course with them or not. :)
Hi! Ravi,

I am an MBA student of ICFAI University, Tripura, I was also confused about the same thing but I enquired and come to know from the university that DEC and UGC had already done the inspection for the year. Very soon the new approval might get uploaded on to the university site.

So, unnecessary don’t get confused and make others confused.

All the best
I am in Group G now and have cleared all the groups except the last one in first attempt. I dont think that ICFAI is taking a run of students for their money. It is trying to provide quality education and release only those students who are capable to cater to the role of a manager. Education should be tougher to get the best in the market and not making every kid or a grand pa, MBA.
I have completed all exams from Group A to F in first attempt and honestly speaking, i got the time only to read the last year question papers 2 days before the exams, might be that my 13+ years of Industry experience helped me to clear my exams. This April i will be attempting Group G & H exams and hoping to get it clear.

just advice that do ur preparation smartly and I am sure you will pass the exams.
BEST OF LUCK
Hi Folks,

Hope all the comment is not real as I am applying for MBA with ICFAI this month
ICFAI sucks.. i have writing my exam since 2008 till now i haven't got 45 marks in any papers...all i can say ICFAI is fake its money oriented and not pass oriented...
Dear All,

I'm a working professional and I'm pursuing the ICFAI MBA from Jan 2007 onwards and I'm writing the final group this month. I think that the coursewear is not so easy and you need kind of determination and will to succeed.

Just one thing I noticed was the logo that ICFAI uses in our marsheets etc. The first time when they sent me an emailer the logo was a different one. But when I got the marksheets, the logo in the transcripts are entirely different. You also would understand if you have noticed that. It means that there is a discrimination. ICFAI uses there widely acknowledged logo to attract the students and then when you get the marksheets and certificates, its entirely different.

Don't know how to go about this...
HELLO TO EVERYONE,

Dear ICFAI SSD,

As i have informed you already, I cant continue with the
program due to my health problem and not got proper support from your
side for the course studies.Recently i heard that High court of
madras(Justices S J Mukhopadhaya and V Dhanapalan dated 12th june
2009) had banned you from running institutions of this kind in the
state of Tamil Nadu and you are hereby restrained from running such
institutions .These are the main reasons for my withdrawl.

Actually today i have surveyed all the
complaints against universities over here so finally i found that you
are the one of the leading Grievances holder & most of complaints
against your unfair fee strucutre policies. why are the most of
complaints against your university, that means many students are
suffering from your unfair practices & still if there is such kind of
drawbacks in your policies then why don't u amend it so that students
can get relief. No doubt you are playing safe but this is not the
matter of playing with students. you are here for students welfare not
for personal monetary desires. & in which book of law is written that
student can't withdraw from their studies but still your university
insist not for withdraw from program & in which book of law is written
that the study which he is not studying anymore, he has to pay. &
please sir, now don't say me to mail to ssd & waiting for the
necessary action cause now this is not the matter of you & me only,
thousands of students are waiting for your answer on this mail.

Also find attached to see the public notice from UGC.

The attached notification by UGC dated April 22, 2007, is one of the
best office orders as far as student rights are concerned. It
clearly mandates that no Govt. approved institution can retain fees,
as well as the original certificates. Even withdrawals after the
start of the course must be pro rata.

So consider my request and refund. If you still
don't want to refund, I will file a case against you in the court.
Also will publish this issue in media like all TV channels and leading
news papers.I am expecting the refund as early as possible.

Regards,
M.Selvendran

Hi all,

I have been reading the blog for quite some time now. I have observed that the one's who fail blame or call ICFAI as FAKE university. The one's who pass are the one who support or say it's a good university. For sometime lets assume ICFAI is a neutral, the question is What are the factorial difference between the two groups who call it FAKE and good university ?

Why aren't all passing or failing the exams why only certain group of people fail or pass. One needs to really find the reason here rather than blaming the university. Some might work hard while other spend their time blaming university :)

I myself is connected with ICFAI for MBA. I have succesfully completed my A, B, C, D & E group. Daily spending 2 hours a day no matter how tied up you are with your daily routines will help you to clear the exams. All o[censored]s give more importance to our job as our apprasials depend on how long hours we work for company and always try to compromise with study hours.

LOGIC & MAGIC for passing out ICFAI exams.

1 - Logic - If you are looking out for the knowledge, study 2 hours minimum on daily basis & 4-5 hours on weekends.

2 - Magic - If you are only interested in only MBA certificate & not knowledge, Just go thru last 3 years ICFAI question papers. A 15 days time is more than enough.

Choosing either of the above will help you to pass out the examination. I do not find it a shame to confess that i have been follower of point number 2.

regards,
Anonymos
I am in Group I & J. When I trying to enroll for exam on July 2012 but I found only Group I. I want to seat in Group J also. Can any body suggest me how i can seat in both the group.

I am in Group J - Integrated Case Studies of MBA. I am pursuing this course since July 2007 and due to personal commitments I was not able to complete it within 2-3 years. I totally disagree with the belief you have towards the exam conducted by ICFAI. I cleared groups Group A-F in the first attempt. When the Group G was started with written test paper, I struggled with initial attempt, but I later cleared it (Group H & I in the consecutive semesters) and now I have appeared Group J-Integrated Case Studies.

Do not prepare exams for the sake of clearing the exam. Grasp the subject and apply your knowledge and especially it is very much required from Group G. All the Best
Can someone tell me whats the real scenario? Am just goin to attempt the first paper of 1st sem. Suggest me some tips too.
If you do not clear the exams that does not mean the Institute is rubbish. If you are really serious in your studies and make it a point to devote at least 1-2 hrs a day, there is no reason why you should not pass. I am working with a reputed company prior to my admission in ICFAI. I have been devoting atleast 2hrs every day and have cleared all the Groups (i.e. Group A, B, C, D, E, F, G & H) in very first attempt.

Please stop blaming the Institute and devote the same time in going through the study materials that the Institute has provided. That is the only way you will be able to pass.

Nothing comes easy. Please do note that ICFAI confers "Degree" to the pass out's and not Certificates. This Degree is same and equivalent to the Degree conferred to their Full Time Students. So, stop blaming and STUDY.

Thanks

Amit
Dear all,

I agree that its bit tough compared to other universities due to objective type questions etc. Due to my work exigencies and personal commitments I postponed many exams and more over due to lack of preparation I failed many exam. But a strong determination to complete course helped me to go through material provided and now I have successfully completed all papers of MBA of icfai. If you have ever tried for PMP exam you will find icfai mba is similar to that and icfai materials are covering almost everything required for a modern management.

Thank icfai for all your support.

Hi I have enrolled last year for MBA Intl Business, the course material is really
exhaustive and breaks down each subject very well with details explanation with
excercise & samples scenarios. I am sure it is very very difficult to pass the exam
considering high tough course materail. We need lot of committment & hardwork
planning to really secure good grade.

After going the first one subject Business Environment & Law, I was sure I can't just casually read and write exam. I became realistic in my approach and set Target just 2 subject for exam considering work timings, family needs, other chores. My entire effort was only on 2 subject I could say though I answered 98 & 100 questions and I was sure of scoring 70-80% with B Grade, but passed with C Grade. I put this grade lack of time & preparation.

Before joining ICFAI I joined another chennai based university the course materail was poor, admin guys were poor handlers, no information forth coming, if you have paid money that's rest is your headache.

But ICFAI branch guys calls me wherever exam registration, results announced, helps in various other information and they does it voluntarily and really helpful.

If people who are not passing nor scoring well even after repeated attempts why don't you write to university and check with them about your paper valuation details, even you can force this thru RTI and see for yourself whether you have answered correctly.

Pls don't mislead or misjudge people with just your one bad experience and sometimes because your failure to study hard & complete.

All the best
