Charged for duplicate demat a/c

ICICIDirect offered me a standalone demat account number 35041366 under a special offer. I have requested them create new Trading and SB account and link it to the demat account. Instead, they created NEW 3 in 1 account. Now I hold 2 demat accounts under one DP. Customer Care is clueless on closing 35041366. I have nothing but runaround from one center to another.
In response to my complaint dated 15th April, 2008 in Speak Out - Deccan Chronicle, ICICI called me back and assured the duplicate Demat account (IN302679-35041366) will be closed and there will be no charge. To my surprise, I have received a bill of Rs.661 for that duplicate demat that was supposed to be closed. The bill stated that the amount if not paid before the due date will be deducted from my SBI savings account. I request ICICI Direct to close out the duplicate account and stop following such unfair practices. If this continues, I have to close my Insurance product with you.
