[Resolved]  Icici Lombard — Overseas Travel Insurance - Cheating and Fraudulent Transactions by ICICI

Reference to Policy number - 4030/W-369655/00/000 - I have taken an overseas travel policy in Chennai for a travel to US for 6 months. Based on the policy’s refund procedure, I am eligible for a refund of the unused portion (3+ months) because of my returning back to India.

I am a senior citizen, and I had to talk more than 6 times, and Email more than 8 times with the customer service of ICICI Lombard, in vain, and till date I have not received the refund, even after escalating the details to the grievance people as advertised in their website (Three names are mentioned), however, they do not even have professional ethics to respond to customer query.

I am old enough to raise this battle legally, and with such a pathetic customer service, I would strongly not recommened anyone to take any of ICICI Lombard’s policies. In case of any requirements as to details of this case, I would be happy to provide.

I have paid around Rs.19000 in terms of premium amount, on which, almost half of the amount is eligible for refund for non-usage, as per the policy terms. There are no claims or whatsoever against the policy, however, I am getting same responses on different dates from a customer service professional - Pankaj Chettri, that I have claimed an amount of Rs.300USD! (same as in his mail) If this is the case, ICICI should be paying me this money back! However, this cannot happen, as there was no such claim. I am getting a sense that ICICI enters in fradulent transactions similar to what I have quoted above, and probably, some bigger fish is yet unrevealed.

If you want to waste your money, energy and time, get disrepected and cheated, you have to knock at ICICI Lombard for a policy.

Submitted a claim under International travel insurance. They denied stating - Pre - existing conditions.
But I am yet to receive a clarification on the following: -
You need to get answer against the following points.
1) The term "pre-existing condition" usually refers to major work rather than minor problems like cavities or deep fillings that eventually need to be crowned .
What made ICICI travel insurance teamm disagree this statement ?
2)Dental fillings are precautionary measures – 99.5% of the people undergo the same. Most of the times, considered as cosmetic. If you treat this as a reason for denial. BETTER REMOVE DENTAL related claims from your BROCHURE.
- For item (2) Silence is their answer.

400 USD dollars gone. Recommendation. NOT TO PROCEED WITH ICICI TRAVEL INSURANCE.

Hi,
I also have similar story

With very disappointment I had to write this to ICICI that after making endless followups, you are unable to deliver the renewal of policy in time. Its 22nd Feb and my existing policy has expired, I am overseas with my 1 year old kid and my insurance renewal is trapped ( I don't know if it is so difficult) in hidden and so called intricate process.

I have done payments and every formality from my side many days back, while purchasing the policy, the online agent said that there will be no delay ( of course he was very much interested in payment option rather providing required information I asked him few question and later he gave up and said that instruction are present on web page do it by yourself)
Honestly It is very ridiculous experience with ICICI, believe me I did not expect such unprofessional behavior from so call renowned Company, the ICICI.

Because of you guys I I am sitting in the Singapore, with my 1 year old baby, uninsured, while I paid for it . Who ll be responsible for this unprofessional behavior ? shall I go to consumer court ? shall I enjoy my visit or write such long reviews to you ?

How shameful it is for you?
