[Resolved]  Icici Lombard — Insurance Policies assigned to Credit Card without informing

Hi,

This compaint is regarding the transactions happened to my credit card (No. [protected]‏). My name is Bangaru Reddy, currently located in Bangalore, and my contact number is [protected]

Two ICICI Lombard policies assigned to me without my knowledge and the EMIs having been billed to my ICICI credit card number: [protected].

When I contacted ICICI customer care they told me the transactions were executed on 13th January 2009. They also said that they did not have my communication details as well and suggested me to contact ICICI Lombard Customer Care for the dispute. When I contacted ICICI Lombard, they also said that they do not have any details of me.

I have updated my email ID to ICICI recently to get my statements to inspect the transactions. After receiving the statements, to my shock, I noticed that, every month two EMIs were being paid in addition, in addition to that, interest for both the EMIs. I never received any communication either from ICICI Credit Cards or ICICI Lombard regarding these policies.

As a matter of fact, I requested ICICI to block my said ICICI Credit Card way back in 2008. I wonder they could you people enroll policies to consumers without informing them that too on a blocked card.

After communicating multiple times with ICICI Lombard, they informed that I was given the policy on 13th January 2009 and an address where I stayed in Mumbai between July 2006 and March 2007, mentioned in the policies. I left Mumbai in March of 2007. In addition to that the nominee details mentioned in the policies contain many incorrect details.

Please look into on urgent basis.

ABN AMRO Credit Card — Without my knowledge applied for insurence

I am writing this mail by surprise and strange, I hope this could not happen to anybody.

I see sum of Rs 8980 is transferred to Reliance insurance on 04/04/2008.
But I have not applied for any Reliance Insurance; I have not done any purchase by internet,
I have not swiped or phone on my Abn Amro card, and don’t have any Reliance insurance
account or policy. How such a transaction happen without my notice.

I see transaction of arround 5, 000/- Supreme Plus memebership without my consent.

Ban this ABN AMRO out of India... Ignorent people... Don't apply for any Credit card.
The ABN AMRO Bank Back office forcible give me the credit card and agree to give me a good credit limit if i apply for icici lombard policy when card i accept without my permission they give me policy, so much strugle they cancell my policy and rewart back my amount, but they send me statement for annual fees charges ( the card is free for lifetime) and threaten me to go 420 case against me in patiala court

ICICI credit cards/ICICI lombard insurance policy — amount blocked from the credit cards for ICICI lombard insurance policy

Dear sir/madam,

In month of Aug i got a call from ICICI credit cards dept (Employee name Ranjeet, Ph no. [protected]) and he told me that around 24000/- is blocked from my credit cards towards ICICI lombard insurance policy and you have to accept it and if you do not want it to continue then after getting the policy call me and i will cancel it and your blocked amount will be reverted back to your credit card.
After getting the policy when i called the same number then i was informed that that person is already fired out (this time i spoken to Ashok ) and he he asured me that continue the policy for one year and at the end of the year this amount will be released from lombard and you do not have to pay.
but in next month credit card statement it was reflecting the EMI for the blocked amount then again i contacted Ashok he asured me that he will send a document stating that "you do not have to pay the EMI amount and the blocked amonut will be reverted to my credit card". but when they did not send me any such document then again contcted the bank Ashok was not there.( this time i was told that the number is changed to [protected]) and they directed the call to this new number. here again told the concern to person (Sidartha) who was sitting there then he told to talk to his manager (Divya). i talked to that lady so many times and each and evry time she assured me that they will send a document very soon.
But till now i did not recieved the document and now when i trying to call to those number no one is picking the call.

Please help me out in this case as i am bound to pay the EMI for blocked amount.

Hoping i will get the justice. if any further clarification required i am ready to provide.

ICICI Lombard — Insurance issued without my knowledge

This is regarding ICICI Lombard policy. I have been charged on my ABN AMRO credit card for a ICICI Lombard insurance. Strangely, I have not even applied for this. Nor did I get any verification/confirmation call. Also, I have not received any documents.

Also, I found there is one more weird thing. The other services dept had my correct details (Phone/Address/Date of Birth) while the cancellation department had some number which was never used by me and an incorrect address. I reside in Bhandup. They had some address of Vasai. Shocking that 2 different departments have 2 different addresses

I have been following up with the customer service and cancellation department. But of no use. Yesterday evening cancellation department promised to call me back today before 3.00 PM to as he could not confirm certain details. I didn’t receive any calls till now.
Again, I spoke with an officerl, she also mentioned a call back. I follow up again from my side and get to know that the verificaiton dept ppl have left due to rains.

This is highly unprofessional of ICICI Lombard and a very serious issue.

Such inefficient customer support is highly not acceptable. Since yesterday I have spoke to many customer support officers, wasted more than 4-5 hours of my time without any outcome.
This seems to be a very common fraud that ICICI Lombard is resorting to. One just receives a call and is bombarded with a lot o[censored]nnecessary information. The next thing you realize is that your credit card is being charged. There is no written consent for this deduction and I am sure the credit card division is part of the fraud. If they cannot make money in an honest fashion, they cannot start cheating people and more so their existing customers! This is not but cheating...!

I am unsure what the resolution is because I have been trying to figure it out myself!
